So, I have purchased and returned a Sony 810 and a Samsung JS7000 because they just weren't the wow factor to justify the money. This KS is different. Set up was very quick and easy. I give it a 4.5 only because the remote is a bit glitchy and the interface is a bit cumbersome (Have to sort through too many things to reach basic functions). But the picture is insane. Like, Insane. For video games too. But movies in 1080 or 4k are insane. Unless it crashes, I will be keeping this tv. Other favorite part is how it looks even when off. just a great frameless design. super sleek and elegant. Kinda expensive, but love it after two days.

This is a nice TV. When you spend a little time to set up the picture controls you can get a great picture. See Rtings. com for set up recommendations.The OS is easy to use. The only issue I've had with it is the Netflix app keeps freezing, though this is more likely the fault of Netflix.

Let me start off by saying that I DID return this TV... PROS: Great colors, great sound (for such a thin TV), great picture. What more can be said? 99% of people would be blown away. It easily will outshine most TVs on the market. I think most people will be very, very happy. THE NOT-SO-PRO: Okay, so here's why I returned this TV. BUILD QUALITY. Though this TV is absolutely gorgeous to behold, there is one issue which will bug the heck out of that 1% of us. Due to somewhat of a design flaw, the back panel does not stay fully connected to the front screen. There appears to be tape holding the corners together, so over time (as the TV heats up, cools down, heats up, etc.) this tape begins to give and the edges around the corners begin to "open up" revealing (and letting in) light. Unfortunately for me, I noticed this after making my purchase. After doing a little online research, I realized this was a more widespread problem. Again, let me clarify that for most people this would probably be a nonissue. Most people probably wouldn't even notice. However, I worry about the longevity of the TV and whether or not the corners would hold together after a year or two. If you spend $1000, you want your investment to be long-term! I have a return scheduled, but I'm considering asking for another set. Maybe I'll get lucky and the next one won't have the issue? Either way, if it happens to you, don't say I didn't tell you so!

I spent considerable time researching the best 55" tv on the market. For 2016 this is it. I went to the Plymouth, MA store ready to purchase the Samsung UN55KS8000, as well as numerous other components and unrelated items. Once at the register with well over $1600 of items, I asked for the price match with Amazon as I knew they had the same product listed for $100 cheaper. The salesperson checked and then informed me that it did not meet their rules for their price match. Turns out they are extremely specific. Well, I didn't like their lack of integrity with hiding rules about their supposed price match which is meant to lure customers in their store. Not wanting to wait to have the tv delivered, I jumped right back into my truck and drove to Sears where I made the purchase with no games or sneaky sales tactics. I will never buy anything at Best Buy again!

I bought this from the Black Friday Sale so I have had it for a couple days now. I was blown away by the picture it displayed when playing from a regular ps4 console. I watched some 4K videos on YouTube and it is just stunning. The part I was kind of disappointed with is watching cable with this TV. I know I'm not going to be viewing 4k on regular cable but sometimes it felt like my old tv had better quality with picture when watching cable. Sometimes when commercials are playing the disclaimers and other writing start shaking and are blurry then after a little bit it goes back to normal but its a little annoying. I don't know if this is just the 4k TV trying to upscale or what but it seems to do it on the same commercials every time. Is there a good setting for watching cable? The sound is okay. The legs were labeled wrong and one of them was really loose. The TV is so thin so it makes it look huge. I also have a 50 inch and this 55 inch TV looks massive compared to the 50 inch.

The tv picture is great. Easy to connect and worked great right out of the box. Happy I bought it.

Best TV i have ever bought. The high dynamic range is incredible and very bright and the colors are great. Great for movies and video games. The Samsung 4KUHD player is a must when you get a beast of a TV like this.

Was a nice TV until the LEDs started to fail at 6 years and 11 months. I guess that is a long time in these days of planned obsolescence,

The color of it is very good. Samsung is really doing great on its product and it keeps getting better.

Great gaming TV, got the 55 inch. I did a lot of research and it fell to this beauty. So many good reviews, believe the hype.

Picked this TV up for $997 and it is one of the best 4K pictures I have ever seen. The quantum dot display just makes all the colors pop and gives an incredibly bright picture. Streaming UHD HDR content through the Amazon app allows this TV to really show its power. With it's sleek chrome design and almost bezel-less display the pictures seems like its floating in mid air. Overall a superb TV.

Was looking for a new TV but waiting until the price was right. This TV went on sale and I jumped on it. Great TV! Bought a Samsung 4K Blu Ray to go with it.

This TV has the most incredible picture quality. I love the level of brightness that is not found in other TVs. the smart TV features are great too.

I had the ks8000 for like a month now and so far i am loving every second i watch or play on ps4 on it! 4k video looks amazing, just make sure your internet supports the 4k, i had to upgrade mine because it would take forever to load and quality wasnt good but once i upgraded the wifi is in full amazing 4k picture! (Netflix, YouTube....) In case your wondering i had 18mbps and i upgraded to 150mbps and streams beautifully!

Still has a great picture. I would purchase this tv again.

The TV has very sharp colors and contrast. I almost went for a Samsung I am glad I chose this TV. Excellent for gaming.

The picture, sound and quality of this tv are exceptional. Did lots of research and it truly lives up to the hype.
