Purchased this unit during 2016 black Friday sale. So far, everything has been great except when the TV interface did an update. Signal source interface disappeared and I had to search the web on how to make it reappear. Other then that, this TV works beautifully when streaming Netflix or playing HDR capable games (on Xbox One). WiFi connection is very stable and Samsung One Connect detects all my connected devices flawlessly. Would recommend it to anyone!

TV has a beautiful picture and I like the thin bezel look. Also, I think it was a good value for the money.

I original bought the Samsung 6290 series which didnt work ever. I guess thats why it is cheap. I decided to purchase this higher end model 8000 Series. There is no flickering, the picture quality seems good ( needs calibration) still working on that. The apps are fast , no issues with connectivity ( Ethernet plugged in) . I have no complaints. i got a good deal on sale. Price little higher than i wanted to pay but i guess quality comes with a price.

The picture quality is amazing. The remote that came with the TV is really cool to. But that's where it stops. The tv will not connect to the Internet and the hub always freezes. My phone, laptop and iPad all connect to the Internet just fine but this tv is a F-ing joke. The Internet will connect to my mifi and phones hot spot. If I know I was going to have this issue I would have returned it and bought a Sony.

Set up was simple and fast. Great picture and sound. This tv is part of our home theater and we have had no problems after 6 weeks. We were happy with another 40" LED from Samsung so we stuck with this brand. It went on sale plus Best Buy card got us another 10% off. This is our first smart tv and that feature has worked ok.

This 4k tv is absolutely stunning. I can not wait to get it calibrated.

I bought MU8000 and returned it. This one is better. In every aspect.

The picture quality is the best, second only to LG OLEDs, but the firmware and software is terrible. The only way the internet on the TV works is if the Smart Hub is able to connect to its servers, which it consistently does not. You can not use Netflix, youtube, etc. The issue is with a lot of Samsung TVs as you can see online through reviews and forums. The technical support will always blame the ISP and ask to call them, but don't fall for this. They'll then ask to reset the TV then it works, but then you have to re-do all the settings every time. So far this is the only solution they've offered and to send a service tech over to look at it. Sure Sony or some of the other brand TVs are not as bright as Samsung, but at least they work.Also the picture quality is not great straight out of the box, you have to manually configure it which is a hassle if you are not an expert on the settings.

If you're only concerned with picture quality, the Samsung KS8000 series is fantastic. I would prefer that this is a "dumb TV" and I could just plug my components into it and be done with it. However, the smart TV isn't that smart and causes many unnecessary headaches. The TV will switch from one connected to device automatically when it senses another one has been turned on. Unfortunately this doesn't work correctly and some devices like my computer, PS4 and Nintendo Switch ping the Internet for downloads while in sleep mode. This activates the TV to change the input, which happens several times an evening while consuming other media. The feature cannot be turned off. Several of the apps in the TV will freeze, requiring a reboot by unplugging the TV and plugging in again. Simply turning the TV off is insufficient. Sometimes the reboot requires logging in again, which is a hassle to type in a username and password using the TV remote. If Samsung patched the automatic device switching, and I abandoned the TV apps to use a Roku instead, I could see myself giving this TV a higher rating.

After a long research found this to be the best tv for the price and the features. The clarity of the tv is amazing with the new HDR technology and the best part is Samsung Smart Remote. Works perfectly with my Apple TV. The only Con is the speakers aren't as powerful as I expected; i think thats the cost of getting your tv's slimmer.

Performed great until we had a serious problem. Geek Squad put out great effort to correct, but Samsung had discontinued model and BB would not find the replacement part. However, we did have our 5 year warranty and good to their word/contract BB relaced with a new TV (Sony).

Im a Samsung fanatic, from cell phones to Tv's . I come from a 1080P LED Samsung which is an excellent Tv. So when i chose this one for $999.99 versus the LG 55UH7700 for $799.99 i was certain i was getting the better TV. The sales are black friday pre-sales and i dont have time to return in order to get my refund/gift cards back and re-purchase the LG as i have work, school etc.. So i am very let down and disappointed. Whats wrong with this TV: -The back panel on the TV is a bit detached on the top . This isnt a big issue but shows a sign of weak workmanship or poor store handling. I was careful when transporting it home. -MY HDMI cables would not be recognized by the tv. I tried for an hour to unplug and replug, and try better Monster HDMI cables and even updated the software. 2 hours later i realized that the box that the HDMI's plug into is defective. When i picked it up, my PS4 magically displayed. But when i layed it down, my PS4 turned off. So after realizing the issue was the "One Connect Box", i was troubleshooting and noticed that if wiggling or slightly moving the HDM cable, it was disconnect or connect the display on the TV. YES, i made sure every time the connections were snug and properly connected i am not new to technology or TV's. So this is by far the biggest let down ; having a defective one connect box that sometimes displays input devices and requires wiggling the HDMI connection to get it working. -The picture on this TV displays pixelated and sometimes blotchy squares when watching Amazon video or Netflix via the dedicated apps. I was really taken back by this and did not expect this from a Samsung 8000 series. I did explore the Noise canceling feature and other features to see if this would help and none did, Not to mention, the Expert Settings menu has very minimal tweaks to adjust which is another let down. -The Remote is nice and small but lacks an exit button and becomes a nuisance to use. There is no Exit or Menu button???? To access a setting or menu , you have to press the home button then scroll through the apps to get to the settings icon . And then, to exit the menu , you have to either press the home button twice or the back button until it exits and you can resume back to what you were watching on the TV. This is an inconvenience of not being able to quickly enter and exit menu interfaces, not that i go through this frequently. You can however use the voice command on the remote by saying a menu item and it will directly take you there. But if im trying to be quiet and not bother others, i dont always want to speak. -The Game Mode is required to be used with my PS4. and it does make a difference in picture quality. This is the biggest reason i bought this TV ; to game. If game mode is off, there is a terrible lag and delay. I tried this multiple times and was utterly let down :(. My current 1080p Samsung performs just fine without game mode on why not this one? I wanted to play Destiny with the best picture possible but this wont be possible with this TV. I did try and change out cables and no difference. -Sound Quality is good and loud for me. -Black levels are nothing extravagant and actually look the same as my 1080 P Samsung LED -I like that the TV is slim and i like the stands which were simple to attach Because this TV is defective with the One connect box and is everything short of what a Samsung 8000 series should be, i will be returning this probably for the LG 55uh7700 because that one is $200 less. I dont expect that one to be better than this one, it actually looks dimmer on the display. But i rather pay $200 less for a different brand tv than pay more for a TV thats disadvantaging, broken, and disappointing on the innovative side. I literally wasted y day with this TV and time is something i dont have to waste. I may not even be able to do the return in time to get the Black Friday price for the LG TV because of my school and work schedule. I had also used my hard earned BB gift cards for this purchase as im an elite plus member, I shop at Best Buy al the time! i cant believe i am taken back this much by this TV. What are you thinking Samsung? I wish someone could reach out to me and help me to return and exchange this TV. I deserve a better experience

The TV is amazing the borderless feature makes it look very nice on the wall but is kind of triky to handle, you think it may break. Besides that, the image quality is superb but the smart system (netflix, hbo go, youtube) is laggy and sometimes you need to restart the tv in order to make it work properly.

I bought the tv because I was using a box tv and wanted to buy a PS4 the smart capabilities was a plus. It's overall a great tv the sound quality is OK I am buying a 1000 wat home theater system to upgrade the sound for movies,gaming etc...

I absolutely love this TV. I purchased it on Black Friday and have been in love with it since. The software on the TV is just as amazing as the hardware. I really stepped up to buy this TV, and I don't regret the purchase at all.
