After extensive research, decided on this TV based on balance between performance and price...couldn't be happier. Sure, there are limitations compared to OLED or LCD that cost tons more, but, if you're like me and want an affordable TV with solid performance, you won't be disappointed. Also, I was surprised by the audio quality.

Went in during Super bowl week for a deal on a tv. Wasn't sure what we were looking for. The salesman helped explain all the differences and we went with the Samsung. So far, we love it. The picture quality is so good. Also, love that you can change the picture quality for the program you are watching (movie, nature, sports).

Very easy to setup and the quality is a visual delight!

Upgraded from a 46" 7000 series to this 55" 8000 4k model and have to say the TV doesn't disappoint. The picture quality is great and sound isn't too bad. I have yet to tweak any picture settings but out of the box, it's a great looking picture. Glad I picked this up when it was on sale. Paid less than I did for the 46".

Super picture great for sport channels great smart tv

I purchased this as a replacement for a Sony XBR55X850C that died (under warranty, so it's going in my basement once repaired). I only thought the Sony had a great picture - wow! While both are 4K TVs, the difference in picture is significant. The only thing I miss is how seamlessly the Sony worked with my Sony AV system.

This is an awesome TV, it has a great picture and is easy to navigate through the setting and applications.

If you are thinking of getting 4K and HDR, this is a good TV to purchase to get you started and on a modest budget. I am thoroughly impressed by the black levels. The colors are rich which makes the viewing experience enjoyable. I cannot say much about the sound quality since this is connected to a surround system.

I just love this tv. Even though this is a model year behind it's simple a great tv and has everything the current top models have . It's picture is fantastic and everything works great. If I needed another tv I would look for another one. I just wish that I could have found a good 3D model in my price range.

We finally upgraded our very heavy LCD TV with this Samsung when it dipped below $1000. A refresh rate of 240 was what I was looking for, & this provides a terrific picture. Unfortunatley, there are very few inputs, and we are off the grid (no Satellite or Cable). We need at least 1 more coax input for a manual antenna going directly to the TV; the only coax from an antenna goes to the DVR... Older TVs had TONS of inputs of every kind....

There isn’t a single thing about this TV that I do not love. The picture quality is far and away the best I’ve owned and it’s better than the more expensive ones that Samsung and Sony offer. It’s close to the OLED TV’s they have out and at a much cheaper price point. I got the last one at my local Beat Buy right before they released the 2017 Model and I’m glad I got this one as many rating sites have tested and show that this is one of the best TV’s Samsung has ever made. I would have to agree from my own experience. The picture quality is amazing. Now, if you have cable or satellite you are only going to get the best that they broadcast to you which is usually 720p maybe 1080i. So I highly recommend testing your picture quality buy using blue ray or Netflix assuming you have a really good internet connection. All in all again, the best TV I’ve ever owned and I don’t see myself getting rid of it anytime soon. It’s a very sharp and elegant looking TV setup and I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to buy a 4K HDR TV
