    I held off from upgrading to 4k for a long time because I was concerned that content was not readily available. Also, I purchased a top notch 1080p set just before 4k sets became available. I am glad I waited because the Q7F is an awesome and fully formed product full of innovations beyond the 4k resolution. Before I get to those innovations, I do have to say that the 4k/HDR picture is amazing. Watching UHD videos will set your eyes on fire with the brightness and detail. Even non-4k content looks great in the HDR+ Mode. While I wish I could spring for a SpectraCal colorimeter (which is able to calibrate the Q7F automatically), the picture looked great out of the box for my family. Matching the Q7F with a PS4 Pro creates an amazing gaming experience. The level of detail shown in games is astounding. My son is playing Madden 18 constantly and you would swear that it is a game on the NFL Network. Also, we have seen no issues with lag when playing first person shooter games. The Invisible Connection and One Connect Box allow you to run one cable to the TV along with the power cord. Gone are the days of squeezing your arm behind the TV to check a cable or plug something new in. Just plug it in the much more convenient box, Plus the remote allows you to control everything plugged - including the PS4 which I could never get my expensive universal remote to control. The universal goes to another room now. It is no longer needed. The Smart View Picture feature finally gives me a place to watch all of the UHD videos I have been filming on my Galaxy S8. One button to push on my phone and boom - my home videos are on my 55 inch TV looking like broadcast television. Same thing goes for showing photos directly from my phone to the TV. I recently had a group of people over to watch a fight on PPV and people could not believe that the TV was only 55 inches. Because of its no bezel design, it looks larger (and more stylish). We had no issue with viewing angles and had people dispersed throughout the room. I can definitely say that I would recommend the Q7F to friends. In fact, I already have.

    For the money, I think the picture quality was lacking. Also in a bright room, the picture was not that great.

    We had to return this TV. The picture went out in 4 days! We are assuming we just got a bad one out of the bunch. Best Buy replaced our purchase although we exchanged it for a larger one without the one connect. I must say the picture was excellent while it lasted, sound was great and as you watched you felt as if you were a part of the scene portrayed.

    I purchased 4TV’s at Best Buy today. 3 32 inch Samsung smart TV’s. I also purchSed a QLED 55” Smart TV. I assembled the 55”tv and when I powered the TV it was dead on arrival. I will call the store tomorrow to have them pick it up and refund my money.

    Descent tv not that great

    I bought this tv because I wanted the best thing out there at the time. The picture is okay some color issues. The settings are a little complicated. Sound is awesome but I would buy this somewhere else. This is the second time I bought something from Best Buy that the price dropped almost immediately after.

    Screen quality is great, but other parts failed

    After owning this for 1.5 years: 1. Out of the box the HDMI cable was no good and LG had to send a new one. 2. One of my HDMI ports failed, and LG wouldn't support it even a year after it was purchased. Having a ~$500 monitor fail after only a year and not being offered a warranty replacement is not okay.

    Bought this TV back in October 2017 from a Best Buy in NJ. When watching Cable TV with Tivo Bolt or watching Blu Ray movies with PS3 I will see a Large Quick different colors of a "Camera Like" Flash (White, Green, Red or Orange). The TV Warranty has run out. Had 2 Tech visits requested by Samsung and both TV service techs said tv was fine. They really did not nothing because I could not reproduce the "Flashes" when they were here. With this said I am very disappointed with this Samsung Product and would like Samsung to contact me for a replacement.

    fluctuating picture brightness

    the ambience feature of set is fluctuating, failure of this feature. Swap of tv to be made 2/14/18. If problem persists I'll return product and try different brand. Spent a lot of money and expect better performance.

      Thank you for your review of this Samsung Q7F QLED Smart TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issue with the fluctuating brightness.

      It sounds like this might be due to the ECO Sensor or Motion Lighting features.
      ECO Sensor automatically adjusts the brightness level of the TV according to ambient light level, reducing power consumption. If the ECO Sensor has adjusted the screen’s brightness level, you can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness.

      Motion Lighting adjusts brightness in response to on-screen movements to reduce power consumption.

      To control these features, please go to: Home> Settings> General> ECO Solution> Ambient Light Detection> De-select

    Lasted two years!

    I bought this television two years ago and it's dead. Won't turn on and before the power went out the screen started to go bad. I was just 9 nine days outside my Best Buy Geek Squad extended warranty and I'm out of luck. BB will not help me and when I called Samsung they too will not help me. Both claiming it's an obvious defect, but I cant help you cause you're out of the warranty. Never again BB and never again Samsung.

    After 2 years we now have a solid black line going across the bottom of our screen. We take very good care of our electronics. This is our second Samsung Tv to go bad shortly after the warranty is over. I will most likely not buy another Samsung. Poor Quality.

    Hello, Bought this Samsung 55 inch 2017 QLED in October 2017. Ever since I've had this tv I occasionally see white burst of like a Camera flash with 2 HDMI inputs (TiVo Bolt and PS3 while watching Blu ray movies. I had 2 techs come out since and they cannot see the issue. Please chime in if others are seeing these colored flashes. Thank you

    We have had many problems with this TV since day one. Currently it is seven months old and it has started to turn off and on by itself and the network connection keeps dropping. You can't watch it for more than a few minutes without it shutting down. Having major buyer's remorse.

    I bought a 55" Samsung Q7 QLED TV about a month ago. This is the worst TV I've ever owned. The remote will not work. I've reset the TV 20 times, tried all of the troubleshooting methods offered by Samsung, and it still doesn't work. DO NOT BUY!

    We have had problems with this TV since day 1. It will not stay connected to the internet. NOW we can not get it to connect at all. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung TV. We have never had a problem out of any of our Sony TVs!!

    This is a curved screen led display. It has poor viewing angles and sucky black levels. Considering the MSRP of this is display it is a never buy.

    QLED. This is my first 4k TV and the first time I have had the opportunity to view the QLED technology. I was previously using a 1080p ultra slim Samsung 3d TV (UN558000BF) which had a great picture, fast motion, and some very nice advanced features. I had not opted to buy a 4k TV until media has progressed to the point where I could enjoy the proper quality to fully take advantage of the displays capabilities. I still feel there is a long way to go, but could not pass up the opportunity to test out this TV. I can see the difference between 1080p and 4k the images are more crisp and separations between colors are more defined. The real difference can only be truly enjoyed when playing a true 10bit or higher color depth source. I struggled to find availability of sources that support this. When I did, the difference is truly astounding. Due to the lack of availability of the high color depth, I found the best source to be able to see the difference was while viewing still images from high quality cameras. When viewing a well composed 10bit or higher color depth image the view is beyond stunning. You see very lifelike colors that jump off the screen and wow you with color shades you would not have thought possible coming from a TV. I found a few examples to put on a USB thumb drive that I have plugged in to the available port on the back of the receiver box, using the display as a digital art display. This wowed all my family and friends who have been able to take a look. Sadly, the availability of video media in this format is rare or expensive. Amazon UHD with the Prime service is 8-bit and Netflix while available has additional cost. I do recommend the TV and technology, but feel it has a long way to go before the media set is available to truly enjoy the technological advancements. When watching 1080p or other standard content the image feels a bit fuzzy. It is still high quality, and the colors are there but it doesn’t pop or stand out as much. If you don’t have a Blu-ray player or use the UHD Netflix/Amazon Video services and have a good internet connection, you may want to wait for the prices to come down.
