    First time ever purchasing an open box special much less Geek Squad certified.....total piece of junk. Previous owners info stored on it as well as LED streaks down screen. Took it right back Grapevine Assyria Mgr complete tool. Said it wasn't their problem, he wouldn't replace it and talked down to me as if I was an idiot. Finally found store Mgr. who let me return it, though would NOT replace it. Found another TV marked with a certain price, then they stated that I couldn't purchase it for that price as it was marked wrong. (Asst Mgr again) Had to get Mgr involved again.....NEVER again!

    If your a sports fan then do not buy this tv. The refresh rate is only 60hz even though it says the motion rate is 120. This is simply a marketing ploy. When watching football there was massive blur as the tv refresh rate couldn't keep up. Also the screen froze and would go black but still play sound. Buyer beware if you want quality.

    This television has issues with connecting to the internet. If you are a wireless network you may find that it will lose signal while other devices (laptop, phone) are still connected to the network.

    Broken at purchase, refused return

    I'm devastated. I bought this as a Christmas present on Black Friday. We opened this on Christmas and installed it only to find the screen was damaged (giant starburst of purple and blue across the bottom and up the side). They refused to return or exchange it "because it had been too long." Everyone buys Christmas presents ahead of time!! The receipt even said "returns until 1/15." I'm out a ton of money, have a useless TV, and no way to rectify the situation. Best Buy- you ruined my Christmas.

    Replacement TV from extended warranty. Received lesser quality and less HDMI inputs so can't use surround sound . Previous 2 TV's didn't last even 2 years.

    You get a 1080 HD TV with a 240 motion rate and it's the same thing. For the price I guess it's OK but I would prefer to get a TV that include HDR

    Unable to get good picture setting, too many issue between cable box and TV and HDMI1 port does not recognize my bose entertainment

    I purchased this TV mostly because of reasonable price, but after 3 months, I noticed the bezel separated from the screen. I called Samsung to fix the TV and they agreed to send a technician. The technician, however, never came to see the TV. I called like 5 times, but they would never say why they would not repair the TV. Right now, the TV's warranty is over, so I am stuck with is worthless TV.

    I have purchased too many Samsung products. This one TV I can not get connected to a previously purchased Samsung Soundbar. I have done all I can think of outside of returning it for a new one. Overall product is great and would change to a 5 if I could figure out how to get it connected.

    My TV lasted 31 days. Picture went out I took it back to Best Buy they said they couldn't do anything and to contact Samsung so I did and Samsung said the warranty would not cover the TV. I will NEVER buy a Samsung product again and I will never give Best Buy another penny!!

    Great 2016 TV starting to show its age in 2022

    This TV is a great choice for 2016, but the system is now showing it’s age vs our new TV. That being said, great picture quality, good sound (upgraded to sound bar for improved sound), love the center stand, good interface (can’t get some modern apps, Disney+), easy to use remote, and decent connectivity (need more hdmi inputs now). Overall, no issues in the 6 years we have owned this unit, but it isn’t quite up to modern tech standards.

    WOW....Really Happy With This TV

    After owning a 50" Plasma for the last ten years, it was time to get something more modern. Just the heat savings going from a Plasma to a 4K Ultra SUHD is worth it. But more importantly, the clarity of the picture, the colors and brightness are far superior. This TV upscales even normal cable HD content to near 4K and it's stunning. Because this is more entry level in the 4K Ultra Samsung line and doesn't have the Quantum Dot color system, off axis viewing can suffer if you're really far to the right or left. But for normal seating positions, it's simply a stunning picture. If you stream true 4K content to this TV, you will simply be blown away! We compared it to other TV's costing more with true High Dynamic Range, and honestly if you can't see them side by side, you won't really miss anything. The value of diminishing returns is in full force with this. We couldn't happier with this Samsung 55" 4K SUHD TV!

    Just picked this 55" up from Best Buy when they matched the Prime Day sale price. It arrived today and I just got it mounted to the wall. The TV is much lighter than my old LG Plasma (50"), and the old mount that I had worked great. The picture quality on this TV blows away the picture on my LG, which was 8 years old and needed to be replaced anyway. The initial programming of the TV was very simple, it detects connected devices (picked up my Roku and Playstation right away, and the remote controls the Roku), found the antenna for OTA channels, and then we were off and running. The picture from the OTA antenna was just so-so, but I wasn't looking at HD channels so not a fair comparison. I flipped over to the Roku and pulled up my Plex to test streaming some movies and TV shows. I had The Matrix on there, the picture quality was unreal, almost too clear. I am not used to seeing such a good picture. Even on an older show like The Pink Panther the image was crisp and clear, which was surprising given how old that show was. Just for a test I did a little running around in Fallout 4 on the PS4, no problems at all. Super clean picture, no lag, I actually had to turn the Judder reduction down to 0 or 1 for the game, with it on Auto or turned up it made movement too fluid and clean and actually messed with the game a little. There were a few instances of minor pixelation, but I blame that more on the source (old TV show) rather than the Samsung. I will update this review if I find anything to make it not a 5-star device, but at least for the moment I am 100% sold on this TV.

    Overall a nice tv.Had no problem setting up.Picture quality is good. When you are sitting directly in front of the tv the picture looks good.If you are sitting offcenter the picture fades a bit.It comes with smart tv remote not the regular tv remote.You can get used to it easily.Wish has one more hdmi input.it has 3 hdmi.wish has 4 hdmi.

    We really enjoyed this tv for three months before my daughter threw a toy at it and the screen cracked and ruined the picture. I was beyond devastated!! The cost to repair was not worth it so we went and got another one of this exact tv model because we liked it that much. The picture was spectacular out of the box. Sound is good. I really like that I can find a youtube video on my phone and wirelessly connect it to our tv to play. I like the remote. It's different and very, very easy to use without all the complicated buttons. Our uses for the tv at the moment are mainly Netflix and youtube. I'd recommend getting a tv hardcover protector especially if you have little kids.
