This is a great upgrade from 1080p. We watch Walking Dead on Netflix and it is almost too real. Recently watched a stadium hockey game and it was like being at the game only better because the stadium seats sit further back. Hockey is a good test because it is a great game in person but until now did not play well on TV. The life like 4K is so clear you can see how bad the ice is chewed up by the end of each period. I find the remote is as good as Roku. Also hook the TV to a standard antennae to watch local HD channels. Not only does the picture really pop but I also get a TV guide. Not sure how that works but a nice bonus.

Picture is wonderful and interface is great. Should have purchased a 4K years ago. Love the smart tv interface and simple but intuitive remote. TV is really thin and looks great on my flat panel stand. Only gripe is the wireless connection drops constantly, even with newest software update so I had to plug in my Roku. I have my old Roku stick which works great, though with the plug power cable, the Roku had trouble fitting in the hdmi slot. BB delivery was good. Overall very happy.

This may be the best buy out there for a latest generation name-brand 55" 4K UHD Smart TV, compatible with UHD and HDR sources. The picture is excellent and the price is right. Sure there may be better picture quality available at a higher price, but is there a better 55" UHD Smart TV 2016 model for $900? If you want a better 55" 4K UHD TV then there are lots of them available for $1,500 to $1,800 -- help yourself. I'm perfectly satisfied with this one, and I'm an early adopter tech geek with an Electrical Engineering degree. I just don't spend money unnecessarily, and this is a great TV for $900.

Easy set up. Great picture and sound. A pleasure to watch.

This is my first 4k TV and like most I'm impressed with the increase of quality of the images I'm getting. Paired with an Xbox One S and a Chromecast Ultra and you've got a mean home theater set up. I'll keep my thoughts brief. Pros 1. Good picture quality although it takes some time to get it just right. I started on natural and moved the settings around until I got a good picture. 2. Decent upscaling. I watch Netflix on 1080p and everything looks nice. 3. Works with the Xbox One S. 4. Controller is simple and neat. I can use it to control basic stuff on the Xbox and Chromecast. 5. Bluetooth enabled which is cool. 6. The sound is actually really good. Built in EQ and various settings make it the best sounding TV I've ever had. 7. Good design and a center base gives me more options on placement. 8. Robust, if confusing, picture settings. The stock settings aren't great but some tweaking fixed that. 9. Enough connections for at least the basics. 10. Connected to my home wifi no problem. Cons 1. The viewing angles aren't great. You pretty much have to be within 35 degrees of the center of the screen to avoid issues. I play games on a couch at a 45 degree angle and have to spin the TV a bit to keep the picture right. 2. The picture settings give you a fair amount of customization but not much. Each preset has random settings that you can't access which took a long time to work around. 3. Some settings, like the eco dimming, like to reset themselves. Very frustrating. 4. The judder fixing controls are fun, but the TV kind of lags on occasion which doesn't look great. Overall, not a bad TV for the price. If you can wait and get the SUHD one for $999, do that. This is definitely an email try level 4K TV and would've been 5 stars if not for the poor viewing angles and the settings resetting. Not sure if I'll keep this one or return it for a slightly more expensive model with better viewing angles. If you don't need it for gaming, get the Vizio M Series. Much better and I would've gotten that one if not for the issues it's had with the Xbox One S. I would recommend it only to those who need a budget 4K for gaming.

Had to return 60 in. Samsung ( not 4k.) just too large for room, Stepped into a Great Sale on this 55in 4k with help by Alex in the Brick store. Couldn't be happier! Easy to setup. Good quality backup TV 60MHZ is a little choppy and notice with scroll text at the bottom of the screen

Purchased for an excellent price on Prime Day. Blows away any tv picture I've experienced. Extremely simple to set up and connect to home wifi. One negative is the remote. Cumbersome to navigate with. Opted to keep using Directv remote which was easy to pair. Log into Netflix, Amazon video, Hulu, etc. and you can easily begin streaming.

Wife and I love the Tv , I feel for the money this is the best picture hands down. The only thing I do not like is the remote. I am using my remote from my old samsung 52 inch LCD TV. I can get to any place I need to go much faster with this old remote. Wife and I walked around the store for like 2 hours looking at samsung and LG before we picked this Tv. Why cant' they line them up like walmart does and play the same blueray on all of them... this way tou do not have to walk across the store to look at a different brand. I Got the 10% samsung discount promo on the 6000 series TVs. Your be happy with this TV; Go get it!

I'm very happy with this purchase. Best TV for the great price. It has an awesome picture and sound is very clear. SMART setup is cool and all Smart features work very well, and as simple as the remote is, My kid love there 4K tv as it has best picture quality.

This TV was purchased in 2016 and worked great. Recently(2023), magnets began falling off the inside of the display leaving white and blue spots on the screen. Overall for 7 years or so of continuous viewing it was a good purchase.

I bought this TV when it was $549 which I thought it was crazy for a Samsung 55". I've bought Samsung TVs' before so I knew what I was buying when I saw it. I have it hooked up to an HTPC that I built and the image quality is insane. Of course, different sources reproduce different outputs so I can only speak for myself. I dedicated video card goes a long way as well as good quality cables. For people that complain about the viewing angle not sure why they even bother. I sit slightly off to the left on my couch and it looks great. I don't sit 178* to watch TV. XD Not to mention this is the trade off you getting for this price. People that bought it for $499 got a super deal. Now, if want to spend $3,000 on a TV go right ahead which am sure OLED offers that viewing angle you are looking for.

I really get my money's worth with this television. The first tv arrived with a crack in the upper right hand corner with a line running down the side and a line running across the top. I noticed it after the delivery guys had set it up and left. Despite this minor imperfection the television performed perfectly. The colors are absolutely warm and beautiful. I called Best buy and the customer service rep "Sandy" was very courteous and patient and she quickly dispatched a new replacement tv. I love the remote I call it my "magic wand" be cause it look like a tiny stick but it controls the satellite box and the vizio sound bar . Really satisfied with this purchase. Thanks Best Buy.

I had unfortunately went thru a bad experience with UHD TVs. And I'm cheap so that doesn't help here either. I had first bought a TCL 55 inch UHD. But I didn't know you had to watch out for the 2160 resolution. So that went back and got the right one. And I thought I was very happy. 10 days in to enjoying my TV it started going black on HDMI port 1. Would stay black couple seconds then picture would come back. Soon HDMI did it as well so back went that TV. I decided to shop best buy. As soon as I walked in door they had Samsung UHD 55 inch TV priced at 799.99 on sale for 599.99. Yep you guessed it . I bought that one right away. When I finished setup and got to see the picture quality and sound and was blown away. Samsung blows TCL out of the water. So trust me if you want an excellent TV at an exceptional price go see best buy.

This was my first 4K Smart TV, and I'm pretty impressed. Everything works smoothly on here, the quality is amazing, and the size is perfect for my living room.

This is a great TV. I recently upgraded to a 65" OLED. The OLED is 4 times as much as this TV. I got what I paid for with the OLED - the contrast is amazing and the blacks are really black. But, I moved this Samsung to the living room where it's still used for sports and casual viewing and I have to say, I still like this Samsung and think that it's a great value. It doesn't match the OLED performance and shouldn't be expected to, yet, even after buying an OLED I still look at the Samsung and think it's really a pretty good TV and a great value.

I have had this TV for about a month. At first I didn't like the remote but after getting used to it I love it. The picture is awesome but I usually chose the natural setting which is a little more subdued just a personal preference. You can search online for different settings for picture and sound, I tweaked it some and love the way it looks now. Netflix and others have more and more 4K content all the time. the sound on this set is good,I have it hooked to my receiver through HDMI ARC and the surround sound is great/ All the Apps I have tried work great and easily connected to my wireless. Over all this is a great TV

Easy to set up. Beautiful picture. Pair it with a sound bar and it's off the chart. Highly recommend.

I researched a lot of TVs before making a choice. Several friends told me to go with Samsung and from there I just needed to figure out which one. Finally, i chose this one after reading the reviews. I'm completely happy with my choice. The TV has beautiful color and set-up was so easy. Syncing the TV with my cable remote was also easy. There are several sound options available on the TV, but I connected mine to a sound bar so the sound options were irrelevant for me. The TV produces a beautiful picture with several picture modes to choose from Standard, Natural, Movie and Dynamic... each changing the the tone and feel of the screen. I could not be happier with this TV and happily recommended it.
