Customers are saying
Customers recognize the 55" Class 4K Ultra HD TV's exceptional picture quality and ease of use, with many praising the smart features and user-friendly remote. While some users found the number of HDMI ports insufficient and noted that the refresh rate could be improved, the overall experience is considered positive, particularly given the price point. So many problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It started great, but then deep purple and blue spots started appearing all over the screen. It was hard at times to tell, but when the display was showing lighter shades or white hues these spots stuck out like a sore thumb. This started and Samsung supplied a technician for a fix and the problem was NEVER resolved. This tv was a burden. Never had any software updates and constantly froze when navigating simple menus. Would reset intermittently when I would go to power it on. And don't even get me started on the supplied remote! It's just terrible. After a recent storm all fo the HDMI inputs failed. It's out of warranty and extended service now, so it was a happy time to know I could finally get rid of this burden. I'm glad to move on from this and moved to a Hisense android tv that has a MUCH lower price point and a much higher quality of user experience.

Buy a different TV for 4k
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the Tv and regretted my decision in hopes of update patches fixing multiple bugs... learned my lesson! There is a strange set of lines that seem to only show when one color is dominant on screen. Each app has trouble loading up and shutting down. If you use more than one HDMI, the picture will flicker once after about 15 minutes of use for over 5 seconds. Has trouble recognizing when a phone is trying to communicate with any of its apps. The list grows the more I use it... I think this model was just rushed out and the specs were gashed in order to provide a cheaper 4k option. DO NOT SETTLE FOR LESS. I wish I took it back the second I started noticing issues.

Garbage Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV mid July by the end of the month there was a horizontal line of pixels out 3/4th of the way up the screen. Called customer service and had it exchanged. The TV they exchanged it with also has problems. It turns off and regularly has black flashes where the screen appears to go dead for a split second. Waiting on another exchange which will be my third TV in 3 weeks. Disappointed in Samsung. Disappointed in Best Buy. The only good thing I have to say is the people at Best Buy customer service are nice but they don't even have the authority to provide me a post purchase discount for what will be 12 hours of waiting for delivery people.

Nice picture, lousy sound at times
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has a beautiful picture on it. But the speakers could be better. The "Bass" ( well there really is none) even using the expert settings under sound. We had to contact Samsung about it and instead of replacing speakers, they are swapping units.

Cheap tv, get what you pay for
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a low end 4K set. It looks good with a 4k signal and a still image. It is a 60 hz panel that has lots of Judder. My 4 year old sony 1080P tv has a better picture.

Beware buying Samsung!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would highly caution anyone from purchasing entry level LED tv's from Samsung. They are known to have a picture problem withing 6 to 18 months of purchase and not much can be done about it. Some report problem within 6 mos of purchase. Samsung does nothing for you. I loved our tv when we first bought it. Regretting it now.

Samsung has gone downhill...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To say this TV is a downgrade over my 10 year old Samsung Plasma that it replaced would be an understatement. The picture itself is good, but that's about where it stops. The remote is cool, but it EATS batteries for lunch. The "smarthub" as it's so generously called is one of the worst things i have ever had to deal with, and is conveniently laced with advertisements which also conveniently forget your settings so they keep re-appearing. Nothing like paying$1000 for a TV and then having to look at an advertisement in the menu. I also have to unplug it at the very least weekly, if not daily because the "smarthub" becomes unresponsive and won't open apps. I will be spending an additional $100 on a Roku again and hopefully be finding a way to just have this piece of junk default to whatever port I plug it into until I decide I have gotten enough use out of it to trash it. Severely disappointed and will after many years not buy Samsung the next time.

Worst TV/Customer Service Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never been so disappointed with a product and customer service in my life. I would honestly rate Samsung as the worst customer service center I have ever worked with. I had this TV for 6 months and then the TV just stopped working. I then began the process of working with Samsung and trying to get the TV repaired since it was under warranty. It took over a week to finally be able to get someone to help me and connect me with their service center. The service center had a 1 star rating and was awful. They came and replaced the main board of the TV and put the TV back together without even plugging it in to test it. Three days later the TV once again will not turn on. I have had 3 services from 2 different companies and now am in need of a 4th to try and get the TV working. They are just replacing the same parts in a cycle now and Samsung still refuses to replace the TV or refund me my money. I will never buy a Samsung product again in my life.

Do Not Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please save yourself some headache and pass on this Samsung! We really loved our new TV when we first bought it in Nov 2016, but this quickly ended. Our TV has a flicker in the picture at which time the screen goes black for a single second. The longer the TV is on the more frequent the episodes. The sound isn't affected during this time though. This issue occurs while using the TV provided Apps and while watching cable. Samsung support has been lacking to this point. I have now answered the same questions and followed the same instructions 3 times with the same dismal results, a remaining picture issue. I guess the issue is supposed to miraculously correct itself with those tactics. Hopefully a 3rd party service company will call this week for a permanent repair. After all of that negativity you should know that the TV isn't all bad! The sound works great and the TV still looks cool while it sits unplugged during calls for support!

Not a 4K and not a 120Hz
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this product in 11/5/16 trusting that I was getting a good deal for a 4K and 120Hz. At least this is what the Best Buy store display ad said. The store ad display description says that this is a 120Hz TV. When I was paying it, I asked the cashier if this was a 4K, because I did not find the 4K on the box. She confirmed it was a 4K. Unfortunately, when I got home, the picture quality was bad when tuning TV digital channels. I played a couple HD movies and was still not happy with the picture quality. I went to the Samsung website and it specifically says that this TV was a 60Hz and to make sure the box said 4K otherwise, it was not 4K. Now I need to go deal with Best Buy return policy of 15% re-stocking fee hoping that they will return without charging that being that the TV was not what it says in the store ad.

Don't buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality is very poor. Impossible to watch football. Motion blur is terrible and the only way to reduce is to put it in natural view, which is extremely dim. Settings never hold and revert back over time. Couldn't be more disappointed and I've owned several Samsungs. I'll be calling tomorrow to try to get my money back.
