Great picture!

What a difference
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The difference between standard hi def and 4k is amazing. 4k is almost better looking than real life! As for this particular TV, the curved screen really cuts down on glare. The curve also gives people sitting at an angle to the screen a much better view. This TV uses less power and gives off less heat than our previous standard hi def TV. I have nothing but good things to say about it. No dead pixels, great picture, simple remote.

Movies, gaming, sports, it's all easy to change settings. When paired with a proper theater system this becomes one of the best home theater screens. The curved vs flat debate comes in to play with distance. I'm about 6.5 feet from the display and the curved display is effective with its enveloping goal. Definitely a great purchase. Get it!!!

Excellent, but...

Even watching old shows, it upgrades the picture to a wonderful realistic image. Modern shows and 4k shows are so realistic, it like watching a real-time video. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the Smart TV functions, in my mind, are not the best. I do all my streaming through a ROKU box, to which I can add and add channels to. For example, I can't get PBS on the TV, but have it on the ROKU. FYI, I do not watch commercial TV on the cable, I stream everything.

My only gripe is some strange shadowing that occurs sometimes with black shades. After 2 weeks, a pop-up appeared for settings (it could be user error on my part), but I expect I'll have to contact support to figure out how to get back to the "smart" functions and apps. The curved screen is different, but doesn't really impact viewing at all, even from side angles.
