Only thing I would have expected for paying such an expensive tv with all protection plan, wall mount etc was to have the installation on the wall for free. Had to pay extra for that.

The blacks are washed out, any kind of gradient effect has "steps" rather than a blended fade. The smart control app support has been discontinued now, but hasn't worked in over a year anyway. Samsung seems to purposely make their devices stop working correctly as time goes on to encourage you to buy the newer model. I would not recommend this or any other Samsung TV.

Top quality 4K and HDR

The picture quality of this set blew me away and was everything I expected and hoped for on my upgrade to 4K. A lot of TV sets claim to be 4K with HDR but deliver a lower quality image with limited color ranges. Not the KS8500 though, this tv actually delivers on what it offers. The smart tv functionality is nice and I enjoy the curved screen for gaming. It really immerses you in the experience. It is also important to note that while many cheaper sets only offer HDMI 2.0a (required for HDR) on one port, the KS8500 offers it on all 4 HDMI ports. So you can hook up your Xbox One S and PS4 Pro to HDR without moving cords each time you switch consoles. If you are shopping for a higher quality 4K HDR set you can't go wrong with the KS8500. In my opinion it is well worth the extra money because it delivers true quality on 4K and HDR unlike most cheaper options.
