AMAZING TV

This TV has incredibly picture quality, and was amazingly easy and intuitive to set up and use. The remote has only 7 buttons, and it is a PERFECT fit for my elderly parents who have a hard time understanding remotes with lots of buttons, or multiple remotes that are normally required to operate sound, cable, and blu-ray. The remote that comes with this TV operates ALL OF THE ABOVE (even the digital cable box!).
The curved TV is FABULOUS for my parents' living room, because ALL of the available seating in their living room is off to the sides of the room, and the TV is mounted in the center. The curved TV looks good from literally ANY seat in the room, which is a huge step up from their previous flat-screen. The picture itself is amazingly crisp and clear.
I would highly recommend this purchase to anyone! This is evidently a previous year's model, and I would definitely say that after looking at all of the available models in person, this one is just as good as the others that are HUNDREDS of dollars more. You won't be disappointed!

We bought this curved tv in hopes to reduce more glare. It does help, but also depends on where you are sitting. Otherwise it is a great tv, Rey clear and we love it.

I've always wanted a curved Samsung TV and when I saw the Samsung 55" with it's stunning picture and resolution I knew I had to have it. Setup was as easy as plugging it in... everything was basically done for me , all I did was enter passwords and I was instantly connected to my home WiFi along with any updates the unit needed. The volume without any external speakers is excellent but add a soundbar and it's theatre quality. The picture in HD is mind blowing and SD is great too but HD is the way to go. I would and will buy this TV again and recommend it to anyone interested in hearing about it. One thing to mention.. the remote control is different and takes getting used to but once you figure it out you'll never want another remote again.
I hope this helped...

Never considered a curved screen but do like it a lot. The color is sharp, the picture very clear, and the extras are great! Only complaint is that at times the remote only works to turn the tv on & off but not for the guide or extras. Hasn't done it lately so maybe it won't do it anymore?

This is a great TV. The picture quality and refresh rate are amazing. But, one thing that no one tells you about a curved TV, is if you have the TV across from a window or door. Instead of having the glare in one certain spot on the TV, it is stretched across the whole screen and can be a huge annoyance.
The build quality seems to be a bit subpar but I feel most newer tvs have a flimsy feel to them.
I have also had a couple issues with the remote not working and the YouTube and Netflix app not working as well.
For the price, it is a great purchase for a good quality 4KTV and I do not regret it. But, I do not think I would purchase another curved TV as I don't think the added price does anything to value what a curved TV is supposed to do.

We’ve had this tv for a little while now and it’s all we wanted and had been excellent. Clear picture and love that I can see it well from my spot in the living room (which is off to the side). Very pleased with this purchase

I had my eye on the previous gen of this tv for over a year. Once the new gen came out it was this one that I wanted to get. The only thing stopping me was the price. Over a thousand for a new tv was just too much. But then prime day 2016 happened and unbelievable deals fell from the sky. Bestbuy matched Amazons price for an identical tv, just numbered ku6600 instead of the more well known tv numbered ku6500. Since I knew I wanted the ku6500 55" version and didn't want to do the research on the ku6600, I just went to Bestbuy. $650 + simple install for another $50.
The screen is curved and I like that. Others say the curve isn't noticeable, but I think it makes for a more immersive experience. Also I always noticed that the corners of a large flat screen seem a little darker than the middle of the flat screen. I think it is because there aren't surrounding pixels to help light up the corners and also that the corners are slightly further away and at more of an angle. The curve seems to solve the angle issue since the screen bends back toward you. So the screen is always the same distance from your eyes and the light is emitted toward you.
The clarity is really good. Only down side of the large screen is that standard def really is fuzzy. 1080 is really clear as is 4K. I've streamed 4K, but to be honest the picture really isn't significantly better than 1080. The jump from SD to HD is a bigger leap in clarity.
The speakers are good. I'm fine with them when watching tv. But when I watch a movie I do wish the sound was 'bigger'. I am looking at the Bose Solo 5.
The stand is nice looking. It does not rotate. The V angle of the stand means a long sound bar is hard to fit in front. That is why I'm looking at smaller sound bars. Maybe the JBL Boost TV, probably Bose Solo 5.
The remote is a 'smart remote'. All smart means is less buttons and it requires you to be 'smarter' to figure it out. Sometimes more is more (buttons that is). The remote is either radio or the most sensitive IR ever. Any stray hit, by sitting or leaning on it, will register even when completely hidden under pillows. I do like that it works almost anywhere.
This tv is very big for the room it is in. We sit only 8' away, so it does make for a more theater like experience. The 55" screen is awesome. Go big or go home! The bezel is pretty slim and allows it to fit in an enclave just a little bigger than the screen itself. Very cool looking. The connections seem adequate. I hard wired the Ethernet so I don't have to deal with slower and more unreliable wifi.
I stream Amazon prime and it works pretty much flawlessly. The speed of finding movies is impressive. I've never seen a movie buffer, ever. Samsung apps are few and far between. Most are useless for a tv. The CNBC app is slow and difficult to navigate. The iPad app of the same is 100xs easier to use. A lot of this has to do with the hunt and peck typing. A typing app or voice ability is a must. To see the weather, it's a lot faster to use a smart phone or iPad. The best apps are the video streaming apps. It is nice that they are built into the tv rather than having to buy a roku, Apple TV, or Amazon fire.
The only real negative is the 60hz refresh rate. Samsung uses the gimmick of calling it 120 motion rate. They just double the hz refresh to fool us. I've yet to see lots of football so I can't speak of the motion blur for that sport. I have noticed that motion blur happens when the camera pans not when an object flys by. This is similar the motion blur in a movie film, so I'm ok with it. Using motion plus at any level above 4 makes the picture have the soap opera effect. That just sucks. So I have it set to 2 or 3.
Overall I could not be happier with this tv, especially for the price. Thank you Amazon for Christmas in July!

This tv is pretty nice, but it doesnt have as good of sound as my other tv that is much smaller in size (insignia) I would recommend a sound bar to go with it. I love all the smart features. You can download apps straight to the tv and control the tv via remote on your phone! With it being curved it really does help with the glare which was nice with a smaller space. I now have it mounted to the wall, this size looks perfect above the fireplace.

I had been looking at 4K TVs for about 2 years but I always held off as I felt my current LG HDTV was fine. Well it started failing in August 2016. So off to Best Buy to check out the 4K HDTVs. I looked at Sony, LG as well as Samsung. I had almost decided to go with a higher end Samsung when saw the 55KU6500 next to the higher end model. While the higher end model did have a slightly better picture, the KU6500 certainly held its own, especially when you consider the higher end model was $600 more in price.
Now that I've had the 55KU6500 for a few months, I can comfortably state that this TV is amazing for the price. It upscales OTA TV, as well as Blu-ray and streaming sources extremely well and the 4K content I've viewed is incredible. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with this TV, especially for the price. I highly recommend this TV, you won't be disappointed.

I purchased this television on Black Friday for $699. I'd loved with a roommate who had the same television, and I couldn't pass it up for that price.
The picture is phenomenal. It doesn't get any better than 4k, and the standard UHD/HD when watching television is phenomenal. The television is thin, lightweight, and comes with a beautiful stand should you choose not to mount it.
The curve is artistic, functional and unique. When sitting in front of the television, the edges seem to disappear and the viewing experience really is enhanced. An added benefit, when standing to the side of the television, the curve allows you to see the screen when a flat TV would be difficult to view.
The sound is also top notch for a stock television stereo. I find it full and clear.
I love the look of this tv, both on and off.

I am very happy with this TV, I spent months researching smart TV'S and this option is by far the best value for the size and quality. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a curved TV and the fact that it has 4K capabilities is a bonus!

This TV is great. I picked it up on sale for a good price. The screen is uniform and my panel doesn't have any light bleed. The smart TV features are smooth/fast and the apps run great. 4k looks stunning on this panel. The only negative is it's not a 10 bit panel so no HDR10 but it has some HDR capabilities according to Samsung. Works great with my Xbox one and PS4. I was really impressed with this set for the price.

I am super satisfied with our purchase. I love the image on the curve tv, it can be seen from anywhere in the room. The only you have to be careful about is the room light can cause a glare that goes across the whole screen.

Very pleased with the picture quality, colors are amazing! I'm not a tech person just an average person that enjoys movies and shows as an escape from a hectic world and I'm satisfied with my purchase of this Samsung tv. I find the quality of 4K to be absolutely mesmerizing with a realistic feel that makes me want to watch my favorite movies over again!

I've owned Samsung TV's over a decade. This replaced one, a 55 inch I had for 10 years-the power supply finally went. The color, clarity, and 4K UHD is superb. Went with the curve as it seemed appropriate for such width and it doesn't disappoint. No bleed through at corners or edges. No distortion at all.
Have two sons who use it also for games and they love it. Point of fact I have to fight to get to watch some movies! It's smart; downloaded updates with no problem. Has adequate number of ports so everyone is happy. I know there's not a lot of 4K out there, but gaming on UHD per my kids is phenomenal, and 4K will come. I expect this will last past the intro of 4K and it becomes common:-)
