It was ok TV makers don't want there TVs to last as they did back in the day ,and there plasma did and Samsung stop being g cheap. Enough with only two HDMI inputs, all off bands have AV inputs and there HDMI inputs so it seems that ever since you have started making tablets with gerat OS and have made a path with your tablets people like me respect you. Now that you got your feet in the door you started making cheap parts, shell ,and so on .T.V.s should be lasting 15yrs or more,Panasonic will be back as king

Less than 2 months old and messes up.

The TV is less than 2 months old when we started getting distortion in the speakers. It is under manufacture's warranty. Best Buy said to call them first, even if it is a manufacture's defect. So we did. Now they are saying that if it needs to be repaired because of the manufacture's defects, it will use up out extended warranty we purchased with the TV. And we will need to purchase it again if we want the extended warranty they offer. Picture Quality: Same as the much cheaper Vizio TV we have. Sound Quality: Obviously very low quality speakers. Remote: There are way too many buttons on it. It seems like Samsung wanted to try to fit as many buttons on a single remote as they could. CONNECTIONS/CONNECTIVITY: Inputs: There are very few inputs on this TV. Should have more input connections, and at least offer the ability to plug in older devices, like cheaper competitors have available on their lowest end TVs. WiFi: It seems like the TV is extremely slow accessing apps and using them online. For example, Netflix takes a long time to pull up. When it does, and you try to do a search, it takes a very long time for it to finish the search. Other apps, the same thing. And if you are scrolling through the apps, the response time is very sluggish. Our cheap Vizio TV that cost half as much, has no problem keeping up with scrolling through apps. (All smart TVs do have a slight delay, but this one is just too much of a delay). Samsung's customer support is horrible. They do a repair ticket, and give a date for the person to come out, but no one shows up. They redo the ticket, and guarantee someone will be there the next Wednesday, but the repair center said they never setup the repair date. And it will take another 3 weeks before someone comes out. Best Buy repair takes 2 weeks, but if you got the extended warranty, Best Buy will use it up if the TV needs to be replaced under the manufacture's warranty, instead of using the manufacture's warrant to replace it, like should be done. Overall, I would not ever buy another Samsung TV. And I am very seriously thinking about ever buying another extended warranty from Best Buy again, because when it comes to using a Manufacture's Warranty to cover a product like they should, they will first use up your extended warranty, so you will need to repurchase it all over again on the replacement TV. This has been the worst experience with any electronic product ever. And it haven't even had the product 2 months yet. I suggest getting a different manufacture's product. Especially one that has better customer service through the manufacture. And if you do get the extended warranty through Best Buy, be careful.

Regret purchase and poor customer service

For starters, the Best Buy specs list this as 17 lbs. When I compared tv's, this was the lightest, easier for me to assemble and move. It was my deciding factor. It is not 17 lbs. Next, Samsung has terrible customer service. When I first got the tv, about 75% of the screen was covered with gray banners saying I have an HDMI1 connection, and it lasts for 9-10 seconds every time I turned on the tv. I called customer service, and after 45 minutes he got rid of the HDMI1 banners but left me with the bottom 50% of my screen advertising movie rentals and purchases. He couldn't eliminate that, so he told me there would be an update within the next week that would eliminate it. Nothing happened. In the meantime, I checked Samsung website and read they used to rent/sell movies, but that service is no longer available (why still show ads?). Two weeks later I called again. During another 45 minute phone session, the tech switched my connection to Dish network insisting that is the only way I can get service. I told her we started with an HDMI1 connection and she told me I was wrong and that is impossible. We concluded with me on Dish network and still 50% of my screen was movie ads. I worked on things myself and got back my HDMI1 connection, got rid of the movie ads, but am left with a 4'X6" banner across the top of my screen showing my HDMI1 connection for 9-10 seconds every time I turn on my tv. Unable to deal with a phone tech again, I tried a live chat. He told me this is normal on all Samsung tv's. I said no, I've seen other without it. When he said it could not be removed, I told him the first tech I dealt with did remove it, but I got movie ads instead. He said the movie ads are normal and can't be removed. I told him I got rid of the movie ads myself. I then asked for an email address for Samsung so I could try another approach of contact. He did not comply, but told me a high level tech would contact me in an hour. I never heard a thing. I finally found an email address for Samsung, explained my situation, and got no response. Thus, the review. Every tv I've ever owned went directly to programming without a 9-10 second wait. This is annoying. Reading through many reviews, I'm not seeing mention of this problem, which makes me think it is not normal. While this is an annoyance, I found customer "service" intolerable. No excuses for repeated nonsense they fed me, and no follow through.

    Poor Quality, Durability, Longevity

TV screen went ca-poop with less than 500 watching hours. Nothing is made to last any longer. There's no profitability in building quality. Replacement every 2-3 years after warranty expiration, is the name of the appliance business now.

I recently purchased this tv with no great expectations as it was so reasonably priced and I must say that I have been very impressed so far. I brought it home and hooked it up with no issues. For the price I would recommend this tv.

I've had this tv 1 month and have had to have 4 repairs done. The motherboard continues to fail. Once repaired by the techs, it works 24-48 hrs and fails. The apps continue to throw errors. A new, 2018 model television should not have these problems. Very frustrating. The sound is amazing, you don't need a soundbar at all.

I had a sony tv and sound bar for years, never had an issue. I bought this television and the samsung sound bar. The TV randomly disconnects from wifi and wont reconnect unless you power the thing down and plug it back in. This is also the official "how to solve this issue" on their support site. Sorry but "turn it off and back on again" isn't an acceptable resolution for a $500 television set. I was putting up with it until i tried to pair my sound bar with my mac and found out i have to update the drivers on the sound bar firm ware. Undecided if i'll return the pair but for a combined $800 i assumed both products would work out of the box. Until then i'll be crawling behind the tv to unplug the thing every time it decides to disconnect from wifi....

      NetworkAdmin1:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung 55” NU6900 4K Smart TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing WiFi connection issues.

Your router location and distance from the TV are important considerations -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve connection. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.

Please reach out to us for further assistance. You can contact Samsung Customer Support at:

NO WAY this has a Refresh Rate of 120. The picture is grainy and out of focus in both fast and slow moving scenes. I bought this yesterday (and returning it this evening). I tested an Xbox One game, a Blu-ray Disc, and finished with live Monday Night Football. All pictures receive poor marks. The live football was one of the worst pictures I’ve seen on a modern tv. I adjusted every possible setting and it did not improve anything. My 10 year old (higher-end Samsung) picture blew this thing out of the water......and it is a decade old. You get what you pay for. If you just want a big, smart tv for cheap, then this is your tv. If you care about HD picture quality, save your money for something better. Food for thought, don’t buy any tv that is not on display in the store (as this one was not displayed). There’s a reason they don’t have the inexpensive TVs on display.......

I bought one of these Smart TVs, after hearing many great things about the easy navigation, many apps to download, & other features, I ended up loving the tv & decided to go buy a second one a few weeks later (living room & bedroom, router in the kitchen). After having the TVs for 3 months now, BOTH of them randomly quit connecting to WiFi. Yes I did the basics, unplug, reset settings, reconnect WiFi, troubleshoot, reset router, on both TVs. It is still not wanting to connect, going on a week now of fighting to get even netflix to come on. If this could be fixed this tv would definitely be off the charts.

First thing I noticed when hooking up this TV is that it immediately goes to the young Turks when you turn it on "who likes having politics shoved down their throat?" Went to turn the vulume down even at 0 its loud, even the mute button doesnt work. Not to mention I cant even hook my Samsung sound bar up to it, tried hdmi, bluetooth, and digital/optical cord nothing works! I wasted a lot of money on this peice of junk, processor lags, remote delays when hitting buttons. Worst TV I've ever had period
