Low end Samsung TV

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The picture looks great, except for every 30 minutes or so, there will be a flash of black and white lines down about 1/4 of the screen and it's kind of distracting. I bought 2 of these since I have dual setups for gaming and it happens on both, so I am assuming it's a defect in the overall design. The sound is also underwhelming, often requiring it to be at full blast when my old HD display (also a Samsung) would provide the same volume around the midpoint. Has a habit of turning off on it's own or not wanting to power up already and the banner that comes up when you turn it on can't be turned off, and often requires you to manually remove it (small gripe, but for $300+ I expected a little more from Samsung). The remote also feels super cheap and is unresponsive at times.

I purchased a 'Samsung - 3.1-Channel 340W Soundbar System with 6-1/2" Wireless Subwoofer - Charcoal Black' to go along with the TV. Had it for about five months. Works and looks great! No issues with the TV. I do wish that the interface could be a little more customization. Other note: You cannot place the soundbar infront of your TV, as it will block the remote control signal.
