55 inch Samsung 4K smart Tv

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU8000 TV. I am very sorry that you are experiencing issues with your remote. There are a number of reasons why your remote may not be working as expected. The most common are physical damage, battery issues, or pairing issues. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps.
1) Reset the remote by removing the batteries & pressing Power for 8 seconds. Then reinsert the batteries.
2) Try to re-pair it with the TV. Press and hold Return and the button that is diagonally up and to the right of Return. (This is usually the button with 4 colored dots, but can vary depending on the remote). This will reset the smart remote.
Stand within 1 foot of the TV and press and hold Return and Play/Pause simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected.
If you continue to experience issues with your remote, contact our Support Center to request service.

Disappointed

I had this tv for about 10 days (returned it) and it’s quality was never as how samsung used to be. After 10th day the back panel had burned marks and the display screen started to show spots all over. I bought this because it was a “samsung” but I have learned that sometimes you can’t buy something just because it’s a known brand.

Samsung Black Screen of Death after only 6 days!

The unit listed approximately 6 days before the dreaded Samsung black screen of death. The audio worked perfectly, yet the power board had burned out and there was no picture. Google “Samsung Black Screen Of Death” before even thinking about this tv. I do have to say Best Buy was fantastic about bringing me another one (two weeks later) and returning the bad one without the original box. It has been exactly six days today since I received the new one... and everything seems ok... but I have to say my faith is Samsung is gone. Something this expensive should have lasted longer than six days. Do yourself a favor, and buy a similar LG or Sony.

What a disappointment. Prior to this I had always had great luck with Samsung. Now working with Geek Squad to fix. Glad I bought the coverage from them or else I’d probably really be stuck.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU8000 TV and for your review. I am very sorry you are experiencing WiFi connection issues. A recent firmware update is available which may help improve your connection. (1460.9 released on 12/7/20)
Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically.
You may also want to enable automatic updates for future convenience.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

There are several settings you can adjust to your liking such as Picture Mode and Expert Settings. Please see this guide for complete details:

In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality. The TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.

Please know that you can remove apps you no longer want and free up memory space on your TV.
Press the Home button to open up the TV's Home screen menu.
Navigate to select APPS, and then select the Settings icon in the top right corner.
Next, select the app you want to delete.
Finally, Select Delete, and select Delete again to confirm.

Unusable and too late to return

Then this annoying noise (not aure how to explain it other than to call it a notification sound.....like a ding or a chime). It was pretty sporadic at first so I ignored it. Bad idea. It's much more frequent now ro the point we can't use the darn tv because it just doesn't stop. It's across all physical inputs, streaming services, apps, everywhere. Tried everything to find the source and couldn't. Broke down and called Samsung. He didn't really even listen to what I was calling about. Just immediately wanted to log into my tv remotely and do a soft reset (I had already tried a hard reset before calling, btw). He checked the firmware and such (which I had also already done). He didn't answer my question as to what the noise was or why it was happening but it seemed to go away so I left it alone. Well it came back the next day. Ug. I can't call Samsung every time I want to watch TV so I'm stuck with an essentially useless brand new $500 TV.

2. Make sure that the audio cable is connected to the correct audio output connector on

Does not have Sling
