Do NOT buy this television. It is noisy when off!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned 2 of these tvs after buying one to replace an older Samsung 55" tv. It makes a horrible clicking sound when turned off. It is NOT the television cooling because if you unplug the television it immediately stops. I had assumed the first one was defective but the second was exactly the same. In a living room maybe this isn't so back, but in a bedroom it's completely unacceptable and loud enough to keep me awake. I'll never buy another Samsung Television (or fridge for that matter). I replaced with a Sony Google and I'm now very happy with the television and it's performance. It even integrates with all my other Google devices.

Broken
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Item was not working. Best Buy was no help in replacing it because I opened the box a day late than their 15 days policy. Ridiculous. Now I have to run after Samsung to fix it. Which is no fun.

Another water drip Samsung TV - DON'T BUY!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returning this TV due to dripping/tick-tock sounds when powered off. Please Samsung, do not tell me it is just expansion and contraction from plastics and other materials, it's obviously a power supply defect. Yes, the TV works fine and is safe, but the TV must be unplugged at night if you want to sleep. Otherwise drip drip drip... Also lots of power supply buzz and hum when there is bright images and your volume is low. Not acceptable for a $600 major brand TV. Also, the menu system is terribly slow to respond - also unacceptable for a 2021 TV. Lastly, the built in Samsung free TV channels are always popping up and can't be deleted. Absolutely the worst part about all Samsung TVs these days. We even have it on our $4000 Samsung Q9 65" TV as well. Please just let us chose what apps are on the device.

No one taking responsibility!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv a few months ago. My home is being remodeled so I set it aside. When I went to open it the screen was completely busted. This had to have happened in shipping. I was very careful to protect the set. Best Buy will not replace it. Samsung says it’s Best Buy’s problem. I’m out almost 600.00 I also bought the five year protection plan. I will never own another Samsung or shop at Best Buy again.

Don’t waste your money!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hate it! It freezes and shuts down. It shuts down for no reason. It gets these odd error messages and then shuts down. And when it does one of these shutdowns it won’t turn back on with the remote or with the manual button, which took forever to even find. You just have to wait for it to decide to work again. I HATE IT!!

Posted .Hi user858268,
Thank you for letting us know about the issue you are having with the AU8000 TV shutting down by itself. Please know we are here to help you and have a few troubleshooting tips for you to try.
1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
If the TV continues to turn off by itself continuously, please contact our Samsung Customer Support so we can better assist you. You can call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.
