Nice tv, but ……..
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, the tv is great. My only problem with it was the power cord that came with it was an European plug. That doesn’t do me much good when I bought this for my mother and she lives in a town that doesn’t have a Best Buy.

Pixel Problems on 3 New TVs
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 43in model and two 55in models of this TV each one had a pixel issues. The first one had a black dot several pixels wide. The second had a cluster of pixels that were slightly discolor. The last one had 3 pin point black dots and some very tiny lightly discolored pixesl in the corner. Extremely disastified. Returned all of them and got a Vizio M58Q7 58in. No pixel issues. Picture is just as good if not better. It is thicker and setup takes longer, but it doesnt seem to have any technical problems yet.

Water Drip Ticking noise when off but plugged in.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv screen screen is quality enough for the price. However, beware of the consistent metronomic ticking noise when the tv is off, and plugged in. It will drive you made, especially if you are thinking of putting this tv in your bedroom. Not sure if it's the capacitor or power supply, but read up on it first as Samsung doesn't have a solid fix for an issue that has plagued Samsung tvs from 2018-2022. Cheap plastic maybe as well as a reason? It's not just normal heat expansion, considering it's every 5 seconds and is the same a day later even when the tv hasn't been turned on. It sounds like a water drip every 5 seconds but will stop as soon as the tv is on. I returned this and got a Samsung Q60 QLED and low and behold it made the same noise but quieter. I then returned that Samsung the next day and got a Sony Bravia. I was hesitant to switch as I generally love Samsung, but realized there are other good options to try. Checked out the rtings.com comparison, and Sony performed better than both Samsungs (this and the Q60 2021 model). Save yourself some time and don't get this tv, I wish I had listened to other comments here and the EU Samsung thread describing the longstanding issue with the water drip noise.

Posted .Hi crackedTV,
I am very sorry to see that your screen exhibited damage upon opening and setup. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation -- laid on its side or tilted -- during transit, damage could have been done.

The TV is safe to use.
With this in mind, here are a few quick tips on how to reduce the expansion that can cause these noises.
1) Ensure that there is adequate ventilation. Some enclosures may not allow for proper ventilation. This causes the internal temperature to increase and the plastic to expand even more than normal. For recommended ventilation requirements, please see your user manual.
2) Make sure there aren't any heating or air conditioning vents pointing directly at the TV.
3) Verify that the TV is on a flat and level surface. Tilting or an uneven stand can increase these noises.

Posted .wasriz,
Thank you for choosing Samsung's AU8000 TV and for sharing your experience with an intermittent blank screen. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:
1. Press the Home button on the remote.
If the menu appears, the TV is powered on, but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal.
If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.
Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).
2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device.
For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.
If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time, from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced.
After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on.
3. Test the HDMI cable.
Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test, or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step.
The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords.
To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test.
If the test says the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
4. Test different external devices.
The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too.
If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement. Call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not had one moment of pleasure watching TV since It arrived. The TV was delivered and set up on August 15th. The list of issues from day two is listed below. -When watching the TV, the sound went out. -Changing the channels-the sound went out. They sent someone to fix those issues, then- -There is a delay between the sound that I hear and the person speaking. So, if the speaker says, "Hello," his mouth doesn't move for a few seconds later. -While watching TV, The TV just shuts off and goes back to the home screen. These are the issues you have to look forward to.

Posted .Hi NiceTouch,
We are very sorry to hear that your TV is having issues even after service. Please give us a chance to make this right.
First, you may want to try the Audio Pass-Through feature to address the audio delay. This feature allows the audio signal to be sent unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.
To activate this feature, go to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > set to Pass-Through.
Next, let's ensure your Firmware is up to date by going to Settings> Support> Software Update.
If you continue to have issues, please contact us so we can further troubleshoot with you or set up a Warranty service. Contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.
