I originally bought the 60" that is also on sale but got disappointed so i returned it and exchange for this one which is so much better. i Love the picture, i have nothing to compare it to though coz i just upgraded from lcd to led but i can say there is too much difference on the picture. the sound is much better from my samsung 40" lcd which is 4 years old but still works great. I love the apps too, i love how it has netflix so i don't have to connect other device such as apple tv. I love the pandora too.

Bought this tv to replace a samsung 51" plasma that might have been the worst purchase Ive ever made. I was a little hesitant to purchase another samsung after the many problems I had with the plasma (screen burn within 6 months,picture just died on me 8/31/12). After seeing this tv on display in the store, it showed me that samsung has come a long way in a couple years!! I brought it home and couldn't be happier with it. Great picture quality! It's like your in the movie or tv program you are watching. The sound quality isn't fantastic being that the speakers face the rear of the tv. But, all in all it's a great tv. I also got a free samsung blue ray player with the purchase of this tv.

I've had mine for 3-1/2 yrs now and the intensity of color and sharpness of picture hasn't dimmed a bit! I looked at over 200 t.v.'s when this display commanded my attention ..I'm color blind and this was the most intense & vivid display of colors I've ever seen ! and the crispness of images...I watched Titanic and my feet were wet!!! Hi-Def videos let you re-live the experience of a day on the slopes, a parachute jump, or just hi-marking on snowmobiles..If only life were this colorful..Like an IMAX theater at home!

The TV is great. It is what you would expect. Quick refresh rate, good color, no flash-lighting or other issues. But Samsung's quality control is really a concern. There are lots of other reviews on this site and others that relate a similar experience to mine. I had a line of pixels out on my first unit. Unfortunately I had it installed in a new house before the cable or internet were hooked up, so there was no way to test it before the electrician hung it on the wall. Taking the unit down and bringing it back was a hassle, especially because with a TV this size, you have to essentially destroy the box to get it out of the box. I went back to the store and talked to the manager. We set up a time for Geek Squad to bring a new unit to my house and take away the old one. Because Best Buy is cutting Geek Squad, my appointment dropped through the cracks and nobody ever came. Eventually I had to bite the bullet and bring the unit back to the store myself.

This was my first LCD TV period. Upgraded from the last tube HD TV that Phillips made. Amazing picture, slight ghosting on some fast action scenes. The sound is ok for regular viewing, but once I got it hooked up to the Blu Ray player and the surround sound system it was great. Watched Loopers as my first Blu Ray movie on it and all I could now was stare at the TV in amazement at the clarity of the picture. I wish it would have had more than 3 HDMI connections but that was easy to solve by getting a powered HDMI switch. Overall a great TV for the price I got it for when it was on sale after Christmas.

Love the picture and apps. I was unsure about going with Samsung again, because my 32 inch LCD died after 7 days. A little pricey but amazing picture. Just hoping it lasts, awesome so far!

The television looks great in my basement hung on my wall. It is thin, not to heavy and has an amazing picture. The sound could be a bit better but I think to get the most of my tv where I have it I need to get a home theater system.

Overall this is a GREAT television. The picture quality is true HD. I have it hooked up to 1080p and cannot stop watching football it is SO clear. The sound coming out of the speakers are OK but I have a surround sound system hooked up so it's not a problem for me. I replaced my 1997 Mitsubishi 55" tv for this, and am never going back. I recommend this TV to anyone! The only down side is it needs more composite video and HDMI ports.

Good overall picture quality, wireless connections are easy and very useful. Purchased a wireless key board and mouse at best buy both work the internet setting great. The thin bezel makes the picture look like is suppended in the air, very nice.

I have been super pleased with how sports come through, as well as movies. The picture is so vibrant and clear, the experience is accentuated for the whole family.

This is the biggest and best television I own. It's lightweight and easy to set up. Everything about this TV is worth the price.

Great picture, uses $11 in energy per year and has great sound. Mounted it in our basement and has a great picture and the apps are awesome! No waiting for netflix to stream in a low quality then to high quality - strait high quality. Apps open up fast. User interface needs to be updated but that's my only complaint. Has the perfect amount of usb/hdmi ports. Definitely get a keyboard to search netflix!

We had originally bought a 55 inch led lg and took it back first thing the next day. The geek squad guy said no matter what tv we buy it would be pixelated and because direct tv does not broadcast in true hd no tv will be good for just tv programs. But we bought this samsung and was amazed with the picture quality right out of the box. Still figuring out the apps though. But we are so happy with the crisp picture and would not change it for any other tv.... Boy was that GEEK SQUAD GUY SO WRONG.

Not usually a Samsung fan, but this was the best non-3D option at the 55inch size. I got it home and was up and running very quickly. The picture quality is pretty amazing and the options to adjust picture are great. It connected to the internet via my home wireless network without any problems. Overall I am a fan of this TV and a big fan of the picture! It was a great upgrade from my 47" LCD.

It is light weight and very clear picture. The colors are vivid. The HD is great. TV operates well with our cable remote.

This picture is great. I wanted a brighter and clearer picture and this tv supplied it. I feel like I'm in the room with the people on the television shows. I have to turn up the sound higher than I am used to to hear it well. But I can get it where we can hear it fine, just a little getting used to.

I started out with the Samsung 46" LED Smart Tv and after I was upgraded to Premier Silver & was giving an extra 30 days on returns & a lil more Rewards $$$....I was convinced & decided to Go Bigger or Go Home! I thought the 55" would be too big for my small space but its great.....almost feels like a mini movie theatre....just need to add better sound!!!

Easy to set up and use. Built in wifi is nice feature. Very satified with Samsung t.vs

We are very pleased with the TV. The style, picture and sound quality is amazing. We hosted Thanksgiving dinner and watched a football game afterwards. Everyone raved about how much they liked our new TV. The size is perfect for our large living room. Plus Best Buys gave us the best price with their price match guarantee.

Loss in color when viewed from an angle but this is normal for LED LCD TV's. Had to turn off the Eco Sensor (brightness was all over the place) and Auto Motion Plus (soap opera effect) to get a nice picture. Overall a good TV for the money and features.
