Picked this up yesterday on sale for $499.00. Had $100 bucks in gift cards so couldn't pass it up to upgrade TV for game room. Set up easy, settings out of box looked good. Haven't had the chance to fine tune picture but looks great on my XBOX S. I'm thinking this might look better than my 4k Sony non HDR that was almost double the price. Although I have only had it a day I can say I think this would be a great entry level 4k for anyone not wanting to spend a ton. The 4 stars I'm giving it are for 2 reasons. There is an optical out for audio and that's it. There are no RCA (red/white) audio out or 3.5mm inputs. So I'm having to to buy a few adapters to split the optical cable and get the RCA outs that I need to hook up headset that came out to around $25.00. Not the end of the world but $25.00 bucks on something I would think I would never have to purchase on top of a new TV. Again, this is only cause I like watching movies loud and I can nerd it up on Xbox with friends, so this problem wont affect everyone. Next reason is the Tizen operating system. I don't know if it's because my Sony comes with Android TV that I just find so much better and easier to navigate and a much better remote!!!! Standard Apps are available but doesn't seem like much more and I use SlingTV and that isn't available. I can't use the TV apps cause it creates a loud buzzing through my sound bar, will look into it more today to see if a setting is off. I mainly use my Xbox for streaming anyway so I'm glad I don't have to deal with the TV interface but I know some won't have that option. If you don't mind these two minor annoying ( my personal issues ha) things than I say go for it. Great for the price and above all the picture does look really good...Jeez this was way longer than I thought!!! Enjoy

Samsung is second to none with their televisions in terms of picture quality, functionality and ease of use. This tv lives up to the name with a stunning 4K resolution but no hefty price. This tv unfortunately does not have HDR but that's expected given the price. Overall great product, something I have come to expect with Samsung.

Bought this after Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Still working great!

My old tv was a top of the line, six year old, 50 inch LG plasma. I know what a good picture looks like. This 4K Samsung blows it completely away. Makes EVERYTHING look like a Blu Ray disk. And the Blu Rays are super. Sound wise, my Bose speaker box does sound better, but not by that much. Only $700.00.

Debated for weeks about how much to spend on a new UHD TV. Given the lack of 4K content, let alone 4K HDR content beyond YouTube and a few Netflix programs, I decided to go "cheap" and buy this Samsung 55" UHD. Very happy with my decision. The picture quality here is fantastic. 4K streaming material from YouTube is breath taking. Upscaling is excellent for HD Cable stations. Set up was easy; though you'll need to adjust the settings to get the picture to your liking. TV should carry us several years into the future when OLED HDR 10 prices come down and 4K content is the norm. Until then save a few bucks and go "cheap"! You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

This is a great tv-BUT be prepared for your Hub to die on you within the first year or so. Go online and you'll see hundreds of complaints. A quick fix is a Fire stick but it's a shame to spend hundreds on a set only for the SmartHub to die on you. Odds are good it will happen and Samsung CS is THE worst. Best Buy is good...but Samsung is horrible. I highly recommend getting a decent Sound Bar as well. I love this set...have had it 2 years now...but....truly upset about the SmartHub dying for good. Research before you buy and take your chances.

Old TV went out and bought this on sale as it was just being released. We have been watching it for a few hours now and it's got everything you need. Great definition, brightness, apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc.), 3 is plenty of hdmi. Especially with no need for chromecast or firestick. WiFi TV streaming speed works great and TV is across the house from router. Play station 4 is so much better on this TV than our previous one. The remote is very sleep and intuitive. I love our New TV. The last one was 10 years old.

I like my new TV, for better picture you have to have HD Antena, direct TV or other source with HD quality. Sound is great, smart fitures are great I can watch shows from Internet. Also, slim design on TV controller is nice, nothing extra to worry about.

Bought this tv after our old one started going out. It has great picture and sound. We could definitely tell a difference in picture quality over our old one, it's more crisp and detailed. With the eco settings turned on, the picture will dim in low light (night time and lamp), and brighten in bright light. to avoid this turn the eco settings off so the screen will always be bright, the sensor is on bottom of set on right. It had different picture modes like normal, movies, sports, dynamic. Different sound profiles, standard, amplify, voice (which amplifies voice and reduces music and sound effects), movies ect. We don't use the Smart Hub feature on this tv as we prefer our Roku, and you can rename the input source to R oku, Blu Ray player ect instead of HDMI-1, 2, or 3 for easier remembrance.

Was a little hesitant purchasing this TV as their were only 2 reviews on it at the time of purchase and was not sure how a $699 4K would compare to the $1,000+ 4K's. I took a chance once I heard about the no questions asked return policy and it was well worth it. TV is super clear and sleek. 4K video looks amazing and the regular cable is as clear as you can get with the upscalling. Very happy with this purchase and think its still a good deal at $799

i've been dealing with samsung for 2 months about this awful tv. the screen has been flickering black since the first day. also the optical audio output doesn't work (yes, i've changed the sound option in the settings). since buying this tv when it first came out on the market, i've read reviews of other tv's of the same model doing the same thing. a samsung service tech finally came after he missed his first 2 appointments and replaced a part. before he left the screen was started flickering again. he then picked up his tools, walked out of my house and drove off without saying a word. i thought maybe he was going out to get another part but he just left without telling me anything. i called samsung the next day to schedule another service (you will need the patience of a saint to work with samsung customer service) and they ran me through the ringer again, asking me the same mundane questions that i had answered numerous times the first time i called for service. i called the service center and left a message. i called again a few days later and left another message. over the course of a few weeks i called this place a considerable number of times and the only thing i spoke to was a voicemail. i called samsung customer service again and asked them about it and i was told that the service ticket was cancelled. really? so now i'm on my third round with samsung. low quality tv, service tech was incompetent and rude, awful samsung customer service. i wish i had never bought this thing.

First SmartTV (or smart anything) purchase I've made. The simplicity of use is wonderful, and the HD color is so sharp and realistic that at first I felt like I was a "peeping tom" when watching romantic scenes.

This TV is great. I do not normally post reviews but I love my new television. The color is wonderful...really saturated in color. I comes on immediately and was very easy to set up and program. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great TV at a wonderful price.

This TV is good price. Samsung series 6 model is 100% 4K TV. there are 3 HDMI ports on back of TV. Only one HDMI 1 can displays 4K (3840 x 2160). HDMI 2 and 3 are not. I called and chatted with Samsung. The first line support does not have the correct information or they may give you incorrect info. They said it should work on HDMI 2. after getting next level. They said only HDMI1 supports 4K. I tried Roku box and Roku needs HDMI port supports HDCP2.2 which is pretty common in 2016/17. But only HDMI 1 supports HDCP2.2 and HDMI2 and 3 are not HDCP2.2 ( I was told it is HDCP1.4). So if you HD box from Cable and you will need to unplug this HD BOX before you connect another HD device. Bestbuy spec: (Can Bestbuy verifies this spec. Samsung Website did not mentions that all 3 HDMI can display 4K 3 HDMI inputs for the best home theater connection High-speed HDMI delivers up to 2160p picture and digital surround sound in one convenient cable. HDMI cable not included.

The pixel quality was so good! I almost thought I was on the TV when I first saw it!

Awesome tv with many features. Clear picture and easy to operate.

My ONLY gripe is that it doesn't have a 3.5mm jack to plug my awesome auxiliary speaker system (Logitech Z623) into. That said, the picture value-phenomenal with 120Hz & 4K. The sound quality-just as well as the picture, ESPECIALLY when you select "Movie" in the sound setting....nice surround effects for games or movies. Other than the aux jack, this tv is about perfect in my eyes......no complaints at all when it comes to both viewing & hearing. I do regret getting only a 55" screen, lol. Get one & enjoy!!

Lightning fried 2 TVs and we replaced both of them with this model. The reviews looked very good and the price is unbelievable. So far I'm very happy with the picture, the apps, and the interface. I'm a bit nervous on the longevity of the TV but time will tell. (I've been let down by bad Samsung products in the past and thus is my first Samsung product purchase in many years.) I was blown away by how good 4k looks on this set. I would definitely recommend this TV with my only reservation being how long it will last.

The picture on this t.v is amazing, and I have no issues with it. There are some apps already built in which are very convenient such as Netflix and HBO GO. The browser is not the greatest, but I connect my laptop/tablet to it anyways and use Chrome. If you are super picky you wont like some bleeding issues when it's totally dark, but it does not bother me or ruin my movie viewing experience. highly recommended!

The tv has a great picture. The best picture of all the 4K tv's that I looked at. The smart tv is easy to use and a lot of fun
