Poor qualty from side
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just returned this set after two days. Looks great from straight on but looks pixelated from sides and looses a lot of color when viewed from an angle. The quality was nothing like similar models on display. Best Buy does not display this actual model and there is probably a reason for that. One other problem was that it would just show a green screen when I connect my vcr to it. The sound played well and one time the picture came through and looked good but 90% of the time it would not process the video. Do yourself a favor and just buy something else.

Good value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set has an excellent picture, near flawless. Even the sound is decent, especially for a flat panel. The only drawback is the picture deteriorates if you watch from an angle. If you're dead center, perfect picture. This replaces a 60 inch LG plasma, so I'm a little upset because all angles on the plasma were beautiful. Even though I'm dealing with the horrible customer service of Samsung relating to their Icon X earbuds I've been waiting 5 months to receive on repair, I decided to give Samsung another try. Hope I don't regret it.

Remote NOT as Advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model was advertised as having a Smart VOICE activated remote. Both the emanual and pictures with TV set show a 6 button voice activated remote. I received a 40+ button remote that is NOT voice ready. Hence I did not get what was promised when I ordered this TV. Without a remote manual, you cannot figure out how to use it to set up the TV properly. Also when watching football games the players look all blurry when in action. Samsung claims they screwed up advertising it as voice remote when it is not. Samsung does NOT have a manual for this remote and "we are working on it". So disappointed since now the Black Friday sales are over I have a TV that is hard to use and set up with moving pictures worse than my old Samsung TV

Nice TV marred by poor tuner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your primary source of viewing is broadcast over-the-air-tv, you might want to look elsewhere. My sister and I returned this TV for an LG 55" 55UJ6200 because this Samsung has an issue with receiving Cleveland, OH station WEWS channel 5 (RF channel 15). The picture on channel 5.1 (and the other 5.x subchannels to a lesser extent) would pixelate, and the audio would drop out, every 1-2 seconds, but only on channel 5. The other two TV's in her house, and the 55" LG we replaced this Samsung with, display channel 5 just fine. Channel 5 is very strong at my sister's place. Other than that, this is a nice smart TV. I like the Info and the Guide that all for perusal of all the scanned channel before selecting a channel. There was a loss or two of wifi connectivity, not sure what the cause was.

Good Entry Level 4k TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does as intended. Good picture quality. Good Features. Good sound. Not the best support when it comes to the long standing memory issues. Overall it's good enough for an entry level 4k TV.

It's an entry level 4k HDR but....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, I'd like to say I bought the TV for $490. I feel like money spent has to do with a review. When I first got the TV home the picture left a lot to be desired. After researching online and applying settings that I felt were best, the TV felt a little better than my old Samsung 1080p TV. I always woke up trying to justify the purchase when I first turned the TV on in the morning. I felt as if I needed to be blown away by 4k HDR quality picture, but I just wasn't with this tv. If you adjust the settings to your own liking, instead of what you may find online, you maybe satisfied with a 4K TV. You will not be satisfied knowing that 4K TV also displays the picture in HDR. The TV isn't capable of showing a wide color gamut or local dimming both of which are important for an enhanced HDR picture. To summarize, the TV may be worth it if bought for $500 or less and you just want a basic 4K TV, but if you're looking for the benefits of HDR then pay a couple hundred dollars more for the MU7000 series or higher.

Hate remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compared to non 4K tv this is amazing. BUT the remote isn’t intuitive nor smart. I didn’t realize I needed a roku stick to access my acorn and cbs al access accounts. I prefer the channel tiles as seen on roku so I should have bought. TCL. I could deal with most of this but the remote is ridiculous and the buttons are in a weird configuration.

Not very loud or long lasting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was good though the sound was not terribly impressive. However the unit failed after only 3 years. Got stuck in a reboot loop when we went to power it on, managed to get it out a couple of times, was good for another couple months, now it's permanently stuck crashing on boot.

Very nice TV for the price....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am giving the tv a 5* rating for its price range. Is it as nice as an OLED tv? Of course not. But I am very satisfied. One thing I will say is it took me several days to finally get the settings to my liking. I looked at recommendations from others and some were way off the mark. So don't be disappointed if it's not to your liking initially.

Excellent TV for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to mainly be used with a Xbox One S to play games in 4k. It does not disappoint. Connected easily to my home wifi. Do yourself a favor and once you get it on a network, update the firmware. Initially I couldn't see the list of Input options when pressing the Source button on the remote. Once I updated the firmware, it was corrected.

Poor picture quality and lag
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently bought this tv as a Black Friday deal but had to return due to a bad picture. There were dark shadows that ran across the screen and extreme light bleed from the edges. The images would also seem to lag and become quite choppy during fast moving scenes. Also for those who may use sling for their cable provider it doesn’t offer you the sling app. I wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone and really the only reason it gets a two is because the screen wasn’t cracked when they delivered it.

Decent picture ... vert poor remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned one of these but to use the “smart part” with the included remote was very cumbersome. ... I returned it and for an additional $80 I got the mu6300 with the “one remote” and the difference is night and day. Even for watching normal tv the “one remote” is FAR SUPERIOR. spend a few more dollars ...it’s worth it.

Great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Snagged this for $499. My Nvidia shield looks good. Picture looks a bit washed out sometimes. Blacks seem to lack detail. This was after hours of setting up. I used thx software for calibration. I get some color banding and it likes to turn itself on after shutting off. At $499 it was a good deal. Anymore than that I may have looked closer at other models.
