Terrible TV - Tons of Problems

Samsung is aware and is doing nothing about it. I've been an avid Samsung owner for many years and I've never seen so many problems with a device. The TV doesn't connect to Wi-Fi, the Apps force close all the time and Samsung won't do anything. Release a firmware update and srop screwing your customers! This TV is less than a year old. After some research, the Wi-Fi issue is very common, even after doing all the "suggested" fixes, it still doesn't work.

It has to be the TV as the other TVs in the house does not have this issue. Samsung is usually a quality brand. Maybe we got a bad one.

The manufacturer was unable to update the software either automatically or by on site tech. The customer support personnel were hard to understand and for the three times I called, I had to repeat the product checks, even though I had reference numbers that should have showed what was done by the previous tech.

Need to turn on/off several times to come on

After 18 month of use the tv quality is terrible and you can see distortions in the tv.

Wide black stripe on screen

Bought it for my parents and 13 months after purchase there was a was black stripe that flows from top to bottom on the screen. The tv is worthless because it would cost more to fix it than to buy a new tv. Reached out to Samsung on FB via messaging and got absolutely no response. Not even a message saying they received it. Horrible customer service! Older product lasted years with no issue and this one lasts a year and dies. Horribly disappointed especially since it was a gift. Do not recommend at all.

Damaged

Although the packaging seeming more than sufficient, I was very disappointed when I turned it on and half of the display didn’t work. Kudos to Best Buy for promptly offering me a replacement.

I am very sorry to see that your screen exhibited cracks upon opening and setup.
Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of damage, a TV is a very fragile device and can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken.

Internet connections are mainly based on WiFi signal strength and quality. The router location and distance from the TV is an important consideration -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve streaming. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.
