Samsung TVs are Garbage

Horrible picture

Then add in the fact that the color changes every couple second. My teenage son pointed it out and now I can’t even watch something on it. I’ve only had it for 10 days and can’t get a setting where it doesn’t do it. I will be returning it. Sad because I LOVE my Samsung 55in Curved TV that I bought 2 years ago.

AVOID! Broke 18 months in! Zero Customer Service

We were Informed as since this was out of warranty we can pay for service of $250 to potentially fix the issue, but is not a guarantee they’ll be able to do so. Apparently this TV is not expected to last more than one year - unacceptable. Purchased several other brands in the past and from other retailers who were more willing to assist with any issues.

Samsung - LED strip failure.

Paid for a repair of it at $269. Then the diffuser failed, which apparently Samsung does not sell. My TV repair shop has said they cannot order a diffuser for this TV. I'm out $269 and have a non-working TV that is less than two years old.

I finally got a response and they said, OH, warranty is only 1 year, and its now a few days past. Said, hey, been trying to contact you for weeks, and then everyone forgot how to speak, or call me back. Samsung used to be good, but just junk now. Support sucks. MFR warranty is a ripoff.

No help from Samsung. I have 4 Toshiba's no problems

DON’T BUY

I bought this tv thinking it was brand new because I was TOLD it was and not an open box. Came home and turned it on to find others accounts already on there... The internet also never connects even trying all the things they tell you to do. Never buying Samsung again or believing everything is brand new when told it isn’t an open box.

Misleading advertising by Best Buy DeKalb IL

Brought it home and it was missing power cable. Even though I watched the employees unplug the TV from the wall, the store said they could not provide me the cable. I am sure this is a fine TV but I have not been able to use it. It does look nice on my wall however.

Exactly what I was looking for in a TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.There isn't really a lot to say about a TV, as in essence it is just a collection of pixels that display content you connect to it. So this review will be rather brief. We decided to upgrade to a 4K TV this holiday season, and ultimately decided on this model after viewing the various models on display at our local Best Buy. Seeing the models actually showing content is CRITICAL when picking the model you want, as that is something a website just can't really show. This model looked great on the showroom floor, and had a reasonable price. Best Buy shipped it straight to our door using a "white glove" service -- meaning the gentlemen who delivered it were capable of setting it up as well (for a fee, of course). The delivery service also allowed me to pick the time and day of the delivery, which was very nice. The TV itself is performing at home as flawlessly as it did on the showroom. It came with everything I needed to mount it on a "Vesa" wall-mount (offsets, and instructions -- you have to supply your own wall-mount). It wasn't the lightest TV I have ever hoisted up on a wall-mount, but it was lighter than our previous one. Setup was easy, and started automatically as soon as I turned it on. Only sticking point was the internet connection screen. I don't allow devices in my home access to the internet except for computers and my Roku -- but the TV's internet connection screen on the setup wizard makes it seem like you MUST connect it to the internet (since it is a "smart" TV after all). HOWEVER, all you have to do is press "right" on the directional pad of your remote, and a window will pop-up asking if you want to skip setting up the internet, and you can move on. The screen in NO WAY makes it obvious that you can refuse to connect it to the internet, but it IS possible (btw same problem with our Samsung UBD-M7500/ZA disc player as well, and same solution). The controller that comes with the TV is very simple, and has a lot less "noise" than the controllers that came with prior generation TVs (same for the Samsung UBD-M7500/ZA 4K disc player we got, much simplified, and much appreciated). Basically it just has buttons for the things you would ever actually do with your remote. Everything else is in the on-screen settings menu you can pull up if you want. Final verdict: -screen looks beautiful -controller is great -setup was easy -are not REQUIRED to connect it to the internet if you don't want to -good value -easy to wall-mount All said and done, I have no complaints. 5 stars ;)

Broke on third day

Great picture the first year

This is a known issue with Samsung I discovered reading the forums. I am now out of warranty. Stay away from Samsung.

Not so happy!

Totally a shame as had to pay install fee to non Best Buy installer, and will face that again with second purchase. Samsung has a great reputation, but the NU 7100 turned out to be a bust!

More Samsung backlighting failures

Come on Samsung you know there a lot of issues with the backlighting stand up with your products or long Samsung customers will be looking for another manufacturer!
