Outstanding TV - Especially for 4k HDR gaming

I found a few articles that talked about an update for the NU8000 line (55in and up) that enables adaptive sync. I purchased this and after some tweaking to the settings I am loving it! 4K HDR gaming with adaptive sync looks AMAZING on my Xbox One X. If you are looking for a great 4K TV for console gaming (that does not cost more than $1000) then I highly recommend this! I got it on sale for $899.99

Stay away

Although BEST BUY wouldn’t help me out to exchange it... Samsung was more than willing to help. They UPGRADED me to a new model which I should receive in The next week or so. Hoping this one works just a little longer.

The Product Doesn't Work

I downloaded the manual online, but it looks like the power cable is proprietary to Samsung, and even if I had that, there was no remote to turn it on with after the fact. I only gave this one star for now because it isn't a working product without these missing items.

Bad TV that has issues with freezing, pixel shakes

There is a problem with freezing and pixel shaking. Also, the Apple TV is either not setup correctly or something because it takes me forever to get Apple TV to recognize that it is an 'input' and even turning it on using the remote? Takes 4 or more tries before it appears. New one coming Sat Jan 5. Keep fingers crossed.

The NU8 Series is designed with several preset picture modes and custom settings, allowing you to adjust images to your liking.
The Dynamic Mode is the brightest among all presets. Standard Mode is ideal for home and regular viewing.
Movie Mode is the closest setting to calibration the way the director intended as it uses less enhancement and will likely result in the truest picture.
In addition, the quality of the image on your screen also depends on your source and connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality.
The quality of your streamed content depends largely on the speed of your internet as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.

"Excellent" as advertised-broken coax fitting

As I was assembling Christmas Eve, I found the TV's coax fitting that should be attached to the TV in a ziplock bag, looked at TV and found it was not a spair part. Whoever did the return review for this dropped the ball.

Only lasted 2 years and the screen went out

The NU7 series comes with Auto Motion Plus, a feature designed to eliminate blur and judder on an LED TV, specifically in fast moving images. It does so by taking a 30-fps signal and adding in additional frames to help smooth out any blur or judder between frames – this is called interpolation.
Here is the step-by-step guide to change Auto Motion Plus settings:
1) With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen
2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus
Note: This option may not be visible initially. Continue scrolling through the Expert Settings Menu to locate Auto Motion Plus
3) Then Select Auto Motion Plus again, and you will see the following three options:
a) Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off
b) Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used
4) By selecting the Custom option, you can further access these advanced settings:
a) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
b) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off

Great Gaming and Movie TV

I had the KS8000 which still beats this one in color by far, but this tv surprised me in its clarity and motion handling. It is incredibly clear, very smooth and a great price. You can buy a 65" version of this one for the same price as the 55" sony 900f. I have both and I prefer the 65" NU8000. The colors could be better and I am still frustrated that Samsung released such a perfect tv in 2016 and then downgraded after, but for the options we have right now, this is great.

Excellent mid-priced TV

The TV looks great, almost looks bezel-less, and like the brushed metallic look pedestal base. Samsung's Tizen operating system is very user friendly and responsive. Also important to us is the fact that Tizen supports Spectrum's tv app which allowed us to eliminate cable but still have easy access to local channels and cable news and other shows. The NU 8000 has an edge lit screen and while multi-zone backlit panels with full array local dimming may be brighter, the brightness of the NU 8000 is very good, more than sufficient to overcome the significant glare from sun reflecting off snow coming through multiple large windows in our family room. The small minimalist RF remote works well. We've not used the Bixby voice command option. With Samsung pushing their line of QLED's it seems like the NU 8000, once their top of the line offering, now gets overlooked. Yet I believe it's a great choice for anyone looking for a quality, high end viewing experience in a TV that's priced in that mid-range level.

Quality Samsung Products like usual
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This will be my third Samsung TV, and overall I am pretty happy with it. Remote is modern and simple, programs and applications run flawlessly, and TV looks immaculate with 4k and 240 motion rate rare. My biggest issue was the stand that came with it. My previous model had a nice chrome stand with a 90 or so degree swivel, and I loved it. This one is a big solid piece which is nice by putting the TV towards the back of the stand or directly over it for rooms where you might be to close to the TV such as in my case in tight quarters. If the stand would have a swivel ability, I would have given it 5 stars easy. Samsung never lets me down, even with a minor issue, this machine is future proof for the next five or ten years.
