    Ticking noise from the back

This TV started making a ticking noise from the back after a week of purchase. The noise is irritating. In my case, I noise goes away after an hour or so. Although I liked the picture quality and smart remote, I am going to return this TV and get a Curved one. I hope I will not experience the same issue with the Curve TV.

    Got Comcast? poor hearing?

Well this TV is good for our purposes and so did not need one with more technical advances, etc. I have used Avantree wireless headphones for a few years on our former Samsung TV. Well, it turns out that if you need to use Comcast Cable you cannot get sound from the TV speakers and to your wireless transmitter at the same time! I have spent a over $100.00 trying converters for the optical/audio output on TV to RCA - no work. Tried same to optical/audio on the new Avantree TX but no sound on TV/headphones. So, no where is any info given on this and now I am without TV.

good tv for the price. only issue is the volume it goes up and down, so you better have the remote by your side.

    Dark Picture & jerky

The black's are too dark and pixels/shadows show. It also has a jerky picture. It blurs when fast motion. A scene where people where running blurred badly. Very sorry I bought it and it is not as good as my last Samsung.

      Outwardlycalm,

I am sorry to see that you are not happy with the motion image performance of your Samsung NU8000 TV. Have you tried adjusting Auto Motion Plus to eliminate the motion blur?
Here is the step-by-step guide to change Auto Motion Plus settings:
      1) With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen
      2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus

      3) Then you will see the following three options:
      a) Off: Auto Motion Plus will always be off
      b) Auto: Auto Motion Plus will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
      c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used
      4) By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings:
      a) Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting
      b) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting
      c) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn On/Off

For further assistance on this feature or other advanced setting adjustments, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you. Or LiveChat with our product experts at:  http://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact

    Popping noise.

The tv looks good other than the limitations due to edge lit local dimming which is to be expected but for some reason Samsung doesn't let you just turn off local dimming. So the tv will always have vertical blooming issues in dark scenes. The reason I returned it though was because it makes popping/snapping sounds all the time. Even when it was turned off it still made popping sounds pretty frequently and they were loud enough to notice in a fairly noisy room. Others mentioned the same issue starting after a few weeks but for me it was immediate.

    Samsung: The Worst Customer Service!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Worst experience with Samsung . I had an issue with The TV settings changing. The coordination of my Att Uverse remote was no longer available and the picture settings with the Samsung remote were very limited. This was not the case before today. Spoke with a man named Jose at Samsung. He was not easy to understand nor communicate with, arrogant, argumentative and obviously not an asset to the company he works for. He wanted to remotely Restore my settings to "Factory Settings", but based on the way he was talking to me in addition to obvious lack of knowledgeable, I would not allow him to do that. Honestly I was worried I would end up with a bigger mess. TV was purchased around 6 months ago. He also told me to have Best Buy come out and fix my TV. I asked to speak with someone else, or his manager and he refused to put me through. I own many Samsung products and now based on this one conversation, I don't think I will ever buy Samsung again. Is this the quality of customer service that Samsung offers? Samsung needs to upgrade the quality of their employees.

Great until it started randomly restarting itself.

This was a great TV - until it started randomly restarting itself. The screen will suddenly go black, the loading wheel will appear, and then the screen will turn back on. I have tried updating the software and restoring the TV back to factory settings - the problem still persists. This is a brand new TV - I’ve had it for a week - it should not be doing this. For me, an unacceptable issue such as this completely invalidates all the pros for this TV. Even if this is something that can be repaired, I will definitely be returning this. A brand new TV shouldn’t have to be repaired straight out of the box.

    Good Picture, Bad TV

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this TV four weeks ago and had issues with the TV making "popping noise" from the back panel, seeming like a bad capacitor. This happens whether the sound is playing or not and when the TV is on. I exchanged the TV for the exact same model and at the 15 day mark (return policy) the TV is making the same noise. This is pretty pathetic that this is their 2018 line and it doesn't last 15 days.

Soo I bought this thing for my man cave and after about a couple days I starting hearing this ticking/clicking from the back alot. I thought I was going insane until I had my wife come down and she heard it too. I couldnt get rid of this thing fast enough after reading these other review nightmares. Went with an LG instead and ill never ever fathom making the switch to Samsung again. Just do yourself a favor dont do it.

    Remote Issues/Bluetooth

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So I just bought my NU8000 last week. I've watched it twice and now I can only power the tv on. I get the dreaded flashing red light with no response. I tried to use my Note9 with SmartThings but it says that it won't work because the tv is off. I'm so frustrated with this TV. I bought a Samsung Soundbar, the new Galaxy Watch Active and as said before, I have a Note9 and happy with all of these but the tv is lacking (or remote...not sure). I read online to unplug the tv and lt sit for a few but even still it's not working. Anyone have any advice on this?

    Mother board bad

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchased this set in September of 2016 with one year extended warranty from best buy. Mother board blows November of 2018 and Samsung nor Best Buy will do anything and would cost over $500 to fix plus trip charge. Never a Samsung again.
