Good picture but other things to consider

The TV controller is much too small. It seems to have been designed for young chikdren's hands and is powered by a rechargable battery that has no visible indication of the state of charge.

Thank you for your review of Samsung's Q70C TV. Please know you can check the remote’s remaining battery by going to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery.
To assist you in learning the various functions and settings of your new Solar Cell remote, you can download the Solar Cell Remote Guide directly from Samsung’s website under ‘Support’ (top right corner) > Manuals & Software > TVs & Home Theater. From there, you can select the Q70C under QLED 4K TVs > C Model Lineup.
The Remote Guide is also embedded into the TV itself under Menu > Settings > Support.

Great TV

We do not like having the sound either in the TV speakers or external speakers when connected to our receiver. The HDMI cable needs disconnected from the receiver.

We were updating from a 9 year old TV which was beginning to slow down and had a few other issues. This is just what we were hoping for...bright screen and no issues.

The color seems true and real. The technician was helpful but there wasn't much he could do because we didn't have Internet set up yet.

Can't believe the difference

A headache from the start

This TV started giving us issues from the start: the remote does not work (dies quickly and solar charging does not work), the voice option picks up conversations or just randomly changes channels. Now the volume does not work when watching cable, stopped right in the middle of watching a game. The best feature is the freezing when watching anything which requires you to unplug and replug the TV to get it working. I've only had it for 3.5 months.

I’m sorry to hear your Q70C TV’s remote is not working as expected. Please try these steps which may help resolve this:
1. Press and hold Return and Microphone buttons (diagonally up and to the right of Return). This will reset the remote.
2. Stand within 1 foot of the TV and press and hold Return and Play/Pause simultaneously for at least 5 seconds or until a message appears on your TV indicating that the remote is now connected
If you’re still experiencing issues with the remote, please also try the following:
- Unplug the TV for 30 seconds, and plug it back in.
- Try moving closer to the TV and re-pairing.
- Check to see if your remote is charged: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Available Remote Battery
- Check for available firmware updates on your TV: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

Horrible Remote Control

The big minus for this expensive in my view TV, is the ridiculously small, cheaply made remote control that if it fails would cost $85 to replace. I'm going to have to look for a less expensive backup universal remote control because it doesn't appear the one provided will hold up too long. Why they keep making these remotes smaller and smaller is beyond me. I also keep my remote control in a drawer when not being used but now since this remote doesn't have a battery but has a solar panel on the back it will have to stay out somewhere. I hope it doesn't go dead because it would render this TV useless. Very disappointed.
