Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q80A TV and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your experience with inconsistent volume. The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On
In addition to Auto Volume, Intelligent Mode further enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. If the Intelligent Mode settings are greyed out in your TV's menu, please keep in mind the following:
- These functions may not be supported by some modes or apps (e.g., Ambient Mode, Art Mode, and Game Mode).
- Active Voice Amplifier (AVA), Adaptive Sound+, and Adaptive Volume are available only when the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or the Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture function is connected.
- Adaptive Volume function may not be supported by some apps or external devices.
- Adaptive Volume operation affects Auto Volume function, but it does not work the other way around.

Aside from some technical notes, this is the best offering I have ever seen in a 55in display. It was purchased for a bedroom TV and has far exceeded my expectations. Literally purchased for background noise and now I find watching it more than the main TV. It is on the bright side (good for the dark streaming shows) but excellent picture quality.

She was correct!! Because I'm a TotalTech member, I had the Geek Squad install. What a smart move! The shortcuts and customization he showed made the purchase even more confirming. I may need to go back and get another one!!

But am I ever glad I did... I also requested the full service for delivery, set-up and installation on my well. It simply was perfect ! From beginning to end, now we are happy campers with this beautiful gorgeous color 55 inch TV, plus we are now able to stream as it is also a Smart TV. HATS off to Best Buy and a million thank-yous to the Installation Team...
