I don't know how to use all of the functions but the colors are definitely brighter. The room that this television was placed in is really small so the television looks pretty big mounted on the mall. I don't have cable and I have prepaid internet, not sure if that effects anything, just thought I'd put that out there.

Samsung Q80B 55" TV

Love everything about it. Sound is also better even without a soundbar. Super satisfied and all I hope for is that it lasts a very long time! One note is that the help at Best Buy in choosing which TV I would like for my price range was top notch!

The Q80B features Intelligent Mode to optimize sound tailored to your environment, which includes features like Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) which further detects disturbances and enhances the on-screen voices for clear dialogue.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings. Turn the options on or off to meet your needs:
- Active Voice Amplifier is available only when the sound sensor of the TV is active and the sound output is set to TV Speaker, or a Samsung Soundbar interlinked with Adaptive Picture is connected.
- Adaptive Sound+ provides optimized sound quality by analyzing the viewing space and the acoustic components of the content.
- Adaptive Volume Automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while you are watching TV.

I paired it with samsung soundbar HW-Q800B and everything paired up automatically through wifi. No cords (except for power). Oh yeah, i bought this open box excellent-certified for $710 and it was in perfect condition.

The color of the movies and tv shows are spectacular. The Geek Squad techs were superb in helping us to understanding everything about our set and sounder and went out of their way to set-up our tv and made sure everything worked properly.

All the apps this tv comes with are terrific. My Panasonic I replaced with this tv only had 3 apps installed on it. I, so happy I purchased this tv. Btw, the sound on this tv is sooo much better than my other tv. It’s like I have a sound bar, and yet I don’t.
