    Back when 1080p TVs were first coming on the market, (even before 4K/HD), I researched all of the options by brand. Samsung and Sony were always at the top of the review lists. We went with a 52" Samsung (that weighed over 50 lbs), and every replacement / upgrade since has been a Samsung. Have not been disappointed.
