    Great TV

Its a great tv for the price, its a little weird to navigate the home screen and devices connected. It keeps wanting to auto switch to connected devices like gaming consoles, turning them on automatically. Could be me, but other than that great buy.

      YaboyTobyToad,

Thank you for your review. Anynet+ controls external devices that are connected to the TV via an HDMI cable and will turn on/off when you turn the TV on/off. If you don’t want externally connected devices to turn on/off when you turn your TV on/off, please make sure Anynet+ is disabled. To turn off Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC), go to: Settings > All Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = OFF.

If you need more help with this function, please don’t hesitate to reach Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available daily from 8AM - 12AM EST. You can also visit the Samsung website and click on ‘Support’ for:

    Nice TV

Ended up picking this up, but no support of Dolby Vision was definitely a turn off and made me return it after some research. Also the edge lit technology is quite cheap, so burn in or color deformation could happen quickly

      cory,

We regret to hear the Q8F TV didn’t meet your expectations. If local dimming and expanded HDR support are priorities, we recommend considering our QN80F Neo QLED 4K or higher, which feature Full Array Local Dimming and Neo Quantum HDR optimizations. Samsung TVs do not support Dolby Vision by design, opting instead for HDR10+ – our preferred open-source standard. For future purchases, checking the full specs on the retailer’s site can help ensure you select a model that best fits your needs.

If you choose to try another Samsung TV down the road, we’re ready to help with setup and support every step of the way. Call 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days), or visit our website and click ‘Support’ to connect with a LiveChat agent.
