I really just went to buy a replacement TV when my old died, and picked this one mainly because it was Samsung and the right size. I had no idea really what I was getting! I'm not an expert by any means regarding the technical qualities of this TV but I am totally satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it!

Rotated the old on to our Rec Room to replace a broken TV. Hung this above our fireplace. Enjoyed for 6-7 months. Went to power on and it wouldnt power up. Best Buy called and tech came out saying it appears to be a power board issue since there is no power even to the standby light. It appears most people with this issues had it happen during the warranty period.

A Wise Choice

The streaming visuals are excellent. I love pairing Roku with it. Depending on your typical "cable feed" the picture is better than my older high-end plasma that I was reluctant to replace. The menu of input offerings is considerable. The purchase price was more acceptable during the "Black Friday" week(s). I have made some subtle adjustments to the picture color and brightness that was available on U-Tube because the picture is quite bright in a darkish room in the late night hours. Certain predominantly white visuals can be rather bright to me. The overall rating of this TV is quite high on several sites and that influenced my purchase. I have 4 Samsung flat panels in the last 2 decades so I cannot compare this to Sony or LG. A high end Sony flat panel can be stellar, but $500 more .
