Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is great. The art is beautiful. They do have several free pieces, however, you do have to pay for a subscription to get access to other pieces of art. Supposedly you can upload your own photos. I tried from the app, but you have to pay for a subscription. It seems that you can possibly upload from a USB drive for free; I haven’t tried it yet so not sure if it works or how easy/difficult it is. I did not use the wall mount the TV came with as it is fixed. I bought another mount that sits flat, but will extend out and pivot from side to side. I’m glad I bought this since we mounted our TV above the fireplace and it’s nice to position down when watching TV.

Buy it for the art
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As others have said, you buy it for the art, not the tv. I like the picture setting on natural for everyday tv watching. Bought the lighter brown bezel frame for it and love the look. I added 37 recent vacation pics which was easily done with my samsung phone. I set it to change the picture every 3 minutes. I made sure I took lots of landscape pics so they would fit on the screen well. INSTALLATION: The install went OK, but I can see why people complain. The wallmount is one of the most over-engineered things I have ever seen. Some engineer spent a lot of time designing it. The nicest feature is being able to level it after it is on the wall. I used 2" desk grommets to hide the cable in the wall for a clean install. The menu on the tv is very busy. It would be nice to be able to simplify it. I like the smart menu and remote on my older samsung tv better. Overall, I am very pleased. If you consider what it would cost to buy multiple pieces of art and have it framed, this tv is a real bargain!

Fussy to hang, but worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful tv. Samsung has the best ux I've interacted with. The split-bracket wall mount does an excellent job, however it is overly complicated and a nerve wracking pain in the neck to install. Ultimately, I love this display so much that I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Mind the Gap
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Frame TV is a stunner but very disappointed that the “0% gap” wasn’t able to be achieved by our Geek Squad Installation crew. Apparently the newer mount isn’t as flush as the old one, and out of caution (and potential damage to the TV) our installer left us with a sizeable gap between the frame and our wall.

Says what it does, does what it says
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like this TV, great picture, looks awesome on the wall when on or off. Some reflections in bright rooms and at night the brightness of the tv reminds you its not actually art. The user interface could be better, I can never really get the slide show to work correctly. Bad reviews about wall mounting are very blown out of proportion, it took about an hour but I didn't have an issue. If you look around you can find lots of art for free if you don't want to pay for the subscription.

Very good, but not great
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the TV works pretty great, I think with a few detail fixes this would be five stars for everyone - You should be able to choose one of the frame options when you order. No one wants black. It's expensive enough, you should at least get something you like at order time. - Free Art - subscription model isn't going anywhere, or at least expand the free options. - Matte Options - not as robust as I thought they would be, there are a few standard options but none of them are great - Adding your own photos - limited layout options, needs to be more customizable - Wall Mount screws strip SO easily, I had to go out and buy different screws for the studs, the ones they give you won't drive in without stripping

Smart TV / Dumb Digital Photo Frame
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using Personal artwork requires using a USB to upload pictures to the TV or uploading to your Samsung account and logging into the account on the TV. Using a USB, all of the photos that I tried to upload were larger than 4k and the TV could not resize the images and use them. That is a suprise as other TVs I have used have not had a problem resizing photos. One thing that seems to be missing is the capability to schedule artwork. For example if you want nature photos between 6am and 9am, and family photos between 9am and 3pm, and sunset photos between 3pm and 9pm, and Web Space Telescope pictures between 9pm and 6am, then you will not find that feature on this device. That is why the 3 star review; the Frame is just a regular digital photo device with the most basic of shuffling and scheduling features. These to lack of features are the reason for the review title "Dumb Digital Photo Frame". The flush wall mount is not really flush like shown in the marketing pictures. The 43" has a much better wall mount, and is nearly flush. The 55" does have a gap and it is about the same space a painting or flat back picture would be. My sits about 1/2" away from the wall at the top and is nearly flush at the bottom. I did not use the included foam spacers on the bottom of the TV, otherwise it would have the 1/2" space at the bottom also. The frame around the edge of the TV is about 3/16" further away from the wall than the actual back of the TV, so the edge of the units (both 43" and 55") can never really be flush with the wall, as you would expect with a metal frame picture with a hallow back. Adding the Samsung custom frame pieces do not close this gap. The cable is poorly sized at only 5M long (<16'). It should either be 1.5M or 15M long. The 5M length make a mess of wires if the control box is below the TV, and the 5M length is not long enough to make it up the wall to the attic and back down to an adjacent room to put the control box out of sight. The control box has the USB connection, so don't plan on putting that in the attic, however using a USB extension cable I did not try. The 15M cable is available from Samsung and is another $300. The "invisible" cables are not compatible between all Samsung TVs. It would have been preferred if the TVs were $100 less and you had to buy a separate cable for $100, that way you could get the cable you required. We also have the 43" 2022 model hung in portrait mode; when in portrait mode Amazon Prime does not work, nor do any of the other apps that do not allow for resizing of the display. That was a suprise.

Great TV, but mount is terrible!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 6th Frame TV I set up for clients. TV is GREAT, but the included mount is horrible, let me explain: The wall mount comes in 2 separate pieces, not easy to level them, the pieces mounted to the TV rotate some, suppose for slight change in leveling, but I don't really see the advantage, lastly, putting the TV up to the mounts is quite a challenge> I used a glow rod to separate the angled mounts from the TV so I can hook them onto the wall plates, then I slide the glow rod out. I much prefer the older generation's wall mount, so much easier to mount the TV.

Samsung Should Be Embarrassed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven’t even gotten the TV on the wall yet. Samsung, you should be embarrassed with what you charge and the garbage wall mount “instructions” you include. Fortunately there is YouTube to help for free because $1600 to Samsung is apparently not enough incentive... I know many have left similar reviews, maybe they will take notice. As it stands Samsung has ruined my day.

Mount ruined it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mount is simply terrible. It is so hard to operate and install; while doing so the installers even dropped it. The mount is two separate pieces that you must install individually into the wall and they must be exactly in place. Or else they aren’t going to work. Simply horrible design by Samsung. A 1.6K tv that I’ve been saving for a long time, completely trashed from a horrible mount.
