First time UHD smart tv owner

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was my first UHD smart tv buy so I don't have anything to compare it to besides my old Samsung TV that I've owned for 10 years. $350.00 for a 58" smart Samsung tv is a great deal and would have liked to give this product half a star more for value. What I don't like about it is the blacks aren't good especially if the image is close up...night time or dark scenes are too black...I've spent hours playing with the settings. Another thing I don't like is images of people lose clarity sometimes if its a fast moving scene e.g. in sports or if the person is not the central focus...yes I've played with the settings to reduce/eliminate this for hours as well! I never noticed these things with my old 43" HD tv. Don't know if its because the screen is such bigger now with different tech. I guess this would be considered an entry level TV...the pros such as vividness of colors, apps and picture clarity certainly outweigh the cons...especially at that particular price point. One thing I would recommend is a sound bar as it makes all the difference when watching movies and sport especially...got one for $80.00 and it works great...no need to overspend on one!

It is a decent television for the price and has a good picture and the apps all work well. We wish we could have gone with a higher quality but options are limited in the size we needed. We have had many Samsungs in the past and have always been happy.
