I bought this television may21st and it stopped working on June 2nd. It turns on works for a few minutes turns itself back off and keeps cycling. When it is not turning itself off there is flashing at the top of the screen. Called Samsung as Best Buy only has a 15 day return policy and they will send a technician out under warranty but I really don’t expect a tv to stop working in around 30 days. I ignored the other bad reviews because it connected to my stereo via Bluetooth and it had the Apple Music app which are things I wanted the new tv to be able to do and didn’t find another that was not a Samsung that would do them and I could not go with the 60 in model as it wouldn’t fit where it wanted it to go. If you do not want the hassle of having this tv repaired I would not buy this tv.

      Katmac:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing power cycling issue.

Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.

      2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.

      3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

      4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/crystal-uhd-tvs-tu7000-2020

For instructions on how to update your firmware, please visit: www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062224/

      5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to
Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service.
Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with low volume. One possible cause for the low volume is the source. Some sources have their own volume control which might be set too low.

Check the volume control of your TV, and then check the volume control of any external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try cable connection again.

I hope this helps improve your audio experience. Should you need further assistance or have any questions, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

      Hi Chris,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding your TV's performance.

The interface issue you are describing may be related to your network connection and quality.
We suggest you try the following:
      1. Use 5G Wi-Fi if possible
      2. Try wired LAN if available
      3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router

To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu.
Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care.

This improves your apps performance as it frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

We also recommend you check that your TV is running the latest firmware.
Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.

I hope this helps. Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or text HELP to 62913.

      Hi Bjz455,

We are very sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your TU7000 TV turning itself off. Please know we take pride in ensuring our customers have the best experience possible with Samsung, and we are here to help you.

      Please try these troubleshooting tips:

If your TV appears to turn off by itself, try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions.

See if Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer

If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it.
      To do so go to:

Settings > General > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off
Settings > General > System Manager > Time > Off Timer

Next, please try these basic troubleshooting steps.

      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
      2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
      3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
      4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes, depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
      5. Reset Smart Hub. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub.

If you continue to have issues, please know that Samsung is committed to providing the best possible product experience, quality, and value. We back this Samsung TV with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defect, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller.

For further help, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

      Sahlan:

Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness levels of your picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try the different Picture Modes or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking.

Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic

Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption.
Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness.
Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection

Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update.

You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

I hope this helps to improve your picture. Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

I am sorry for the issue you are having with Hulu. This is not common, but Samsung is aware of the problem and is working closely with Hulu towards a solution.

In the meantime, please try power-cycling your TV:
      1) Power off your TV using the remote or by pressing the power button on the TV.
      2) Next, unplug your TV from the power source. If your TV is connected to a surge protector, power it off.

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you're not seeing any picture; there are 3 potential issues.

      1) A connection issue; the most common problem. Where there is a bad connection, faulty cables or improper installation.

      2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV.

      3) There is something wrong with the TV, which will require a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.

TV worked for 1 year. One day the TV could no longer work the set top box. Samsung is great at pointing the fingers at everything else other than itself for a failed TV. I have replaced the HDMI cables, STB, remote, reset the TV to factory default, upgraded the software on STB. I have looked high and low on message boards and tried all of their fixes which have not worked. The only common issue is the TV. Nothing seems to work to correct the issue. Samung sends me update on how to fix the TV which I've already tried with their online and phone reps. Do not buy a Samsung TV. Do not buy any Samsung products for that matter. I have a dryer which in it's first year was repaired 3 times. I have a refrigerator which can't keep the ice frozen (been repaired 5 times in 5 years.

      Hi Ings,

Thank you for your review of the Samsung TU7000 TV's sound and image quality. Please know Samsung prides itself on high-quality products and a great customer experience. We are here to help!

You may want to try adjusting the settings to improve your picture and sound.

Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:

      1) Standard: This is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
      2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
      3) Movie: This is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
      4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
      5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings and configure the image settings to your taste with additional functions.

Additionally, there are several sound settings you can adjust to suit your personal sound preferences. Change the Sound Mode by going to Settings > Sound > Sound Mode.

You can also customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > Sound > Expert Settings.

I hope this helps you enjoy your experience.

To assist you with possible sound and image settings adjustments for a better experience, please reach out to us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, 7 days a week.
