I Do not recommend, known problem with this TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garbage. It has only been a year and this TV doesn’t work. It will not turn on. My other TV which was a cheaper low end brand, I’ve had for 6 years is better than this. Really anything is better than crap that doesn’t work. I used to be a big Samsung supporter now this has changed my position. I see tons of reviews with the same issue around the same timeframe so clearly Samsung knows there is an issue with this product and just doesn’t care, they keep selling it. Don’t get suckered like I did.

Low Quality in the Trash after a Year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took only one year and of course after the factory warranty expired for this tv to break. Completely black screen, unesable, random, no damage.

Posted .Hi Marco,
We are sorry that your TU7000 TV is having issues with a blank screen. Please know we are here to help. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's entirely possible it could be your external device and not your TV.
Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:
1. Press the Home button on the remote.
If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal.
If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.
Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).
2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device.
For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.
If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced.
After reconnecting the external device, please turn it off and back on.
3. Test the HDMI cable.
Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step.
The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords.
To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test.
If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
4. Test different external devices.
The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port.
If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.
The TV will need service if the issue persists after these steps. Please get in touch with us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you with a solution or replacement. Please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

TV lasted 18 months
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As is a common theme in these reviews, my television started power cycling on and off at about 18 months. I’ve done all of the suggested fixes to no avail. Spoke with tech support who had me try them all again only to suggest a technician come look at it at my cost. Seems like a very common issue that should be a recall/class action lawsuit. Not sure why Samsung quality has gone down on all of their products but I’ll be telling everyone to avoid the brand.

Internet keeps disconnecting after 6 months.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only 6 months old and keeps losing internet connection. I had an issue with another Samsung TV which quit working after 11 months. Samsung took 3 months to try and offer me half of what I paid. I can unplug to reboot the tv and that has worked. It is about 3-5 times a week and is really annoying. Will see if it gets worst. Hoping it last over a year so I can deal with Best Buy and the extended warranty team. I bought the extra coverage with every tv I have.

Posted .Hi Garbage,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. We appreciate you sharing your experience with a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly. Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.
2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.
3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.
If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will likely need service. Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution. Call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

Wont stay connected to wifi
||Posted . Posted .Hi Jabs90,
Thank you for your purchase and feedback on the TU7000 TV. We are sorry to hear that your screen is no longer turning on. Please know we are here to help you and have a few troubleshooting tips that should help resolve your issue.
If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, please try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Press the Home button on the remote.
If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may have power issues.
Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In everyday use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).
Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step.
The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords.

If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
4. Test different external devices.
The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you could not test the cable in the previous step, try swapping the cable, too.

Screen died a few days after 1-year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would have been a great TV except the screen died a few days AFTER the 1-year warranty expired. Just watching TV one day and the screen got a big black spot in the center, which slowly spread out. Now the screen won't work at all. TV cannot be reset, a power cycle did not fix the problem, and Samsung will do nothing to help because the 1 year has passed. It's almost like it was designed to fail after a year. This has really damaged my trust in Samsung products.

DO NOT BUY Samsung TVs
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has very limited memory to add apps. In addition to that it has a lot of crappy preloaded apps that you cannot delete. But the worst part is that after 15 months the tv stop working, I only get a black screen and the power light on. I actually had a similar issue about small memory with another Samsung TV and ended up adding an Amazon Fire to go around the issue... So long story short this "smart" TV is NOT a SMART Buy...

1) A connection issue; the most common problem. Where there is a bad connection, faulty cables or improper installation.
2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV.
3) There is something wrong with the TV, which will require a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.
Please refer to pages 135 – 140 for step-by-step troubleshooting instructions.

Very dissapointed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On June 2 my TV was delivered, on June 4th I had to go out of town. When I returned I found that my brand new TV had a problem.I went on your website only to find that I was only covered until the 15th the day I returned. I called and since there was a long wait in the cue for a rep I left my number for a call back, it never came. I again called and left my number for a call back and again I never got that call. I now have a brand new TV with a problem that I'm stuck with...Very dissapointed...

Geek Squad my foot!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, my local Geek Squad wasn’t answering the phone today, even though the store is open until 9pm. Then, the “nationwide” squad of “operators” were mechanical voices telling me to push this button to find out about this concern. While the voice did eventually locate my order, it told me what I ordered by number, not by name! Dry disappointing.
