    Terrible Picture

Just an awful picture. I replaced a dead 10 year old TV and picture was worse. Colors were off. Tons of artifacts. And very weird scaling that rarely uses the full screen. It's almost like they left the hardware for the 55 inch TV in this one. Had to return. Have never had a bad Samsung TV until this one. I have much cheaper TVs that outperform this one.

      Bummer:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for sharing your review.

Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds.
      2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage.
      3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet.
      4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

If the TV continues to turn off by itself continuously, please contact our Samsung Customer Support.

      You can reach us at:

Good TV while it lasted, after eight months two white horizontal lines appears on the screen (pixels ?) and they didn't disappear and right after one year of use, the screen went black and the sound was no more there. I did not get an extension insurance so basically I didn't have any choice but tossed. Very dissappointed.

Bought this TV 5 months ago, and some features just stopped working. Samsung blames the cable provider, the cable provider blames Samsung and BestBuy has been useless in helping resolve the issue, stating I need to work with Samsung directly. Wouldn't recommend this TV since I've now found other reviews online with the same issue happening.

Worked great for two whole weeks - then it quit connecting to the internet through our home Wi-fi. The TV had connection to the WIFI, but refused to connect to internet. Spent six hours over three days with Samsung customer service. Each 'reset' to factory default worked for a day. Returned TV to BestBuy...

Now I would have to wait to either exchange it or get service done since it is going to be Christmas in a couple of days. I bought the TV on 12/12/20, it is 12/22/20 and now it is broken.

      BenC:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a power cycling issue where your TV is turning itself on and off repeatedly.

Please try a few trouble-shooting steps that may help solve the issue:

      1) Check the power cable for damage and proper connection.

      2) If the cable is bent, broken, kinked, pinched, pressed excessively (possibly by a heavy object on top of it) or damaged, this is likely the cause of the issue. Replace the cable.

      3) Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

      4) If the power cycling allows enough time in between powering on and off, try updating the TV to the latest firmware. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software.

      5) TVs which can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to
Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service.

Please contact us so that we can better investigate your issue and assist you towards a solution or replacement.

Save yourself a LOT of frustration and don't buy this TV. The screen often goes to black for no apparent reason. The connection isn't stable. It's terrible. Really disappointed in Samsung. Iwantmymoneyback: Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your experience with your TU7000 4K Smart TV screen randomly going blank. There are a number of reasons why this may be happening.

      • Cable connection problem: Your Samsung Smart TV is likely to have a black screen issue due to the cable connection problem. Loose connections, damaged cables or inactive power sources are the probable cause of the problem on your TV.

      • Sources issue: Moreover, the issue could be caused by the problems associated with the sources such as DVD player, cable box or other external sources. To find out whether the problem is with the sources, press the Menu button on your remote. If the menu appears on the screen of your TV, then the problem is with the sources.

      • Inputs setting problem: The black screen issue could be due to the inputs setting problem. Your TV might be set on a wrong input. Ensure that your TV is set to the correct input to avoid this issue.

      • Firmware update issue: Your TV screen might be having a black display due to the obsolete firmware. The firmware, therefore, needs to be updated to solve this issue.

      • Sleep timer/power saver mode: In cases where your TV randomly goes black, the issue could be due to the sleep timer or energy-saving mode being on. Consider turning them off to see whether the problem is solved.

      • Hardware failure: Also, your TV might be displaying a black screen due to the hardware failure. This could be a faulty circuit board, faulty TV panel or faulty LED on TV. For this case, you will need to seek for professional service to have your TV fixed.

Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

      Stormy:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 TV. I am very sorry you are experiencing issues with your TV not displaying properly. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

      1) Check the antenna and input cable connections

      2) Check the antenna and HDMI cable connections

      3) If the issue persists, define exactly what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, fixed horizontal, or vertical lines

      4) Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?

      5) Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?

      6) If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)

      7) If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal
(Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. Signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

I usually never have issues with Samsung TVs. I've had several throughout the years but this one is really bad. The light scenes look great but on any dark or shadowy scenes it looks way too dark. As if it doesn't have backlight. You literally can't see anything and I've tried many setting and just can't get it the way I want.I hate it!

      Erik:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung TU7000 and for your review. I am very sorry you are viewing scenes that appear too dark. Samsung is aware of the problem, and a new firmware update will be released soon to address this issue.

Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit.

You may want to enable automatic updates for conveniences.
Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

If you would like to update your software using USB, please check for the latest version at: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/crystal-uhd-tvs-tu7000-2020

Purchased the TV 4/30/2020 and on 7/12/2020 less then three months the TV has permanent horizontal lines running 3/4 of the way across the screen. The lines persist no matter what input I use, after several restarts, and regardless of what settings I change. *Will update upon hearing back from BestBuy and/or Samsung

      Green:

I bought it on April 16. On June 1, the TV broke down. i hear sound but no picture. They said the video card was lit. The TV I new bought was broken after 1 month. When I called the service they said they could come 2 weeks later. These errors are not acceptable for a big brand like samsung. I regret that I bought it.

      Kaan:

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you're not seeing any picture; there are 3 potential issues.

      1) A connection issue; the most common problem. Where there is a bad connection, faulty cables or improper installation.
      2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV.
      3) There is something wrong with the TV, which will require a technician to assess the TV and find a solution.

Please refer to pages 135 – 140 step-by-step troubleshooting instructions.

I hope this helps, if you should need further troubleshooting assistance while you are waiting for your service appointment, please contact Samsung Customer Support.
