Usually Samsung TVs have worked like a charm for me. I purchased this one in December of 2019, so it's slightly over a year old and around January this year it stopped connecting to the internet. At first we thought it was issues with our WiFi but over time we realized everything else works great while the TV circles and circles before saying there is no internet connection. When we looked into it more, we found that this is a common problem with Samsung TVs! How ridiculous, a smart TV that doesn't connect to the internet. At this point since we don't have cable, the TV is useless. Not connecting to the internet is kind of a major problem to have.

    Intermittent Connection Issues

I've had this tv for roughly 2 months and had to reset the network settings every week or else all the apps keep spinning and it goes nowhere. Never had this issue with any other smart TVs I've had. It seems to be a cache issue where if it does load, only text shows up but no pictures. Thanks for breaking my old LG tv that I love, bro in law.

    Sluggish...

I bought this tv in 2020. It's a Samsung, i tried to avoid Roku tv, fire tv, or any other lower brand like tcl, Westinghouse. That was a mistake. This samsung tv was great new. As time went by, it started slowing down. No response to remote control, slow response or none at all to hi speed internet connection either by wifi or ethernet cable. We've been struggling with this issue even after purchasing new remotes, faster internet, and even a software update didn't fix the issue. We continue to turn off and restart the tv once twice or three times while watching tv.

Not Samsung’s best effort. First one I received had dark lines across the screen three hours after set up. Returned the first TV and got a replacement. That too had lines across the screen. Returned that one to the store and upgraded to the 7 series 58” and it is perfect! The moral of this story: Go with the 7 Series!

The TV didn't even last a year and a half and already there was a huge black dark Shadow right down the middle of the TV. Samsung did not do right by it there should be a recall a lot of customers are having the same problem.

Consistently drops WiFi connection. Needs to be reconnected several times daily. Carrier and Samsung troubleshooting efforts failed. After reading reviews, looks like it is the TV. So disappointed in Samsung.

    Nice Features/Picture Needed Adjustment

We've purchased many Samsung TVs in the past, so this was a "sight unseen" purchase. After unboxing and setting it up, I was excited to see the upgrade from our old Samsung DLP 67" we were replacing. The color and brightness were better, but I didn't really like the picture. After watching several short samples of things from movies, to live sports and TV shows I had recorded on our DVR, I actually felt nauseous. I was pretty bummed out. The picture seemed to be jumpy and in soft focus. I was actually looking into a return/exchange of the TV when I googled the issues and found several videos detailing the same problem. They all said the same thing and offered the same fix. There are two settings in the "picture settings" menu area that need to be turned off and then the TV looks great. I have no idea why the settings are turned on as a default or really whey they're on the TV at all. Once "Auto Motion Plus" and "Digital Clean View" are off, you have a predictably clear, bright and sharp TV like any other Samsung you've ever watched. I've included a couple links to the videos that show the location of the settings and how to turn them off. I know not everyone has the same reaction to TV and phone screen settings, but I'm glad I found them because it was MUCH easier than returning a big a*s TV and shopping for a new one. The wire management clips are a breeze and don't require nasty 3M pads to stick to your TV. The 3 HDMI ports are really nice, if you're like me and still have a Blu-Ray player. You can have your TV, DVD player, streaming device (Firestick, Apple TV, Roku) or game system all hooked up and not need an HDMI switch or be swapping cables. The only con I can see other than those nasty picture settings is the location of the remote sensor. It's right in the middle on the bottom of the TV. Any soundbar will block it, so it can't be placed in front of the TV. I had to rerun my soundbar cables and relocate it to a lower shelf on my entertainment rack. If you're wall mounting the unit, it probably won't be an issue. As usual, the Best Buy delivery guys were fast and courteous. The delivery was smooth and we paid the extra $20 to have our old beast hauled away. I hope we have this one as long as that 67" DLP boat anchor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Qo7n8N9b3A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze_qLZn7Vac
