we have had this TV for less than 3 years it started cutting off and then back on again every minute or two. I tried unplugging it for a day and plugging it back that didn't work. We bought two cheap TV for Walmart black Friday sale 6 years ago they both still work just fine. I thought that a Samsung television would be more reliable than Emerson but I guess not

Very disappointed with the picture quality. 4k programming from Amazon and Netflix looks just ok. Tried every picture setting; it is NEVER sharp and clear. Dark and dimly lit scenes are blurry with trails. I have seen far better picture quality from older Samsung smart TVs that are NOT 4K UHD. I do not understand the overwhelming amount of good reviews, did I get a lemon?

I will never buy another Samsung TV. The last three TV's that I had were all Samsung and they all went bad within two to three years of each other. Thank goodness I had an extended warranty with Geek Squad. Always buy the warranty.

I listened to everyone when they told me Samsung was good and i should’ve purchased like a big open box tv so it can be less expensive. Well never mind. This tv turns blank screen when it wants to stays in that mode for idk how long doesn’t work with any of my game consoles and hdmi wire I’ve upgraded and changed and since it started acting up 15 days later. There’s no support.

Ayer having the TV for about three weeks, I've noticed the TV turning off after watching it for over an hour. The peoplesecond mouth are on slower than the sound of the tv.

Is this TV perfect? No. But for around $500 I don't think another TV can match it when it comes to the quality of the video for the price. Two HDMI ports may be insufficient for some. The splayed 36" stand may not meet everyone's approval (although it can be mounted). The speakers are of mid-range quality so, as with most TVs, a sound bar should be added to achieve a more pleasant listening experience. SONY and LG OLEDs have better "black" levels for better contrasts, as may others. But again, for around $500 the video on this TV does not disappoint. Sure, for three or four times the price other TVs (such as the QLEDs and OLEDs) can meet and/or beat this model feature for feature; and if money is no object a selection from those options may be a better choice. However, those on a budget who are looking for a 55" to- 65" TV with a superior picture need look no further than this 2017 model if it is still available. I know some have their HDR color settings using a "Warm" or "Standard" color option, but we prefer the "Cool" choice. With any one of those I believe you will get the best picture with the "Eco Solution" options turned off under "General" settings. With a "Cool" setting, we prefer the maximum Backlight, the minimum Brightness, the maximum Contrast, a low Sharpness level (around 25), Color around 35, and Tint 50/50. My wife and I played with these video variables using the "Warm," "Standard" and "Cool" options before we settled on the one we liked best, and suggest that others do the same. We are more than pleased with this find.

Had this TV less than 2 years. It has some kind of shortage where TV at random turns on and off. It also has a delay when you change channels. Waste of money....DO NOT PURCHASE

Bought this 58" TV as it was the biggest TV that would fit in the available space after my 12 year old plasma TV bit the dust.. Overall a decent TV for the size and price point, but don't expect first class picture quality out of this value priced set. You can't compare it with sets costing two or three times as much.Having said that the picture is still pretty good. Up-scaling of HD content is very good and 4K picture (Netflix, Amazon etc. feeds) is also very good. Off angle viewing (as typical of most LED TV's with a VA panel) is not good with notable fade in color intensity...TV is best viewed from straight on or only slightly at an angle. Sound is average and for casual viewing OK. The TV's operating system for streaming is pretty good although not as good as Roku's. The standard remote (not a so called smart remote) works well although the buttons are on the small side and it's has no back light option. It can control all the TV's functions and is fairly easy to figure out. Some folks might prefer getting a third party smart remote (such as Harmony) to combine TV, cable/DVR and other components. Bottom line a good TV that most people would be pleased with but not those looking for absolute best picture quality.

I own a PS4 pro and I wanted to get the full experience; therefore, I purchased the 58'' model. When I turned on God of War 4, I was not impressed and was really disappointed with the HDR content.. until I found that HDR does NOT appear automatically when you put in a compatible game. I found the switch to activate the feature and the color, the detail, the depth and the clarity just poured out of the TV. I could not believe how much of a deal HDR made! I am telling you, the images look almost 3D!!! Not only is the picture incredible, the sound and bass that come from the speakers are exceptional for TV speakers! The interface is very intuitive as well! Give this baby a shot! You will not be disappointed!

I broke my 50 inch LG LED 1080P non-smart tv that I purchased 5 years ago and I am surprised with how far the technology has come since that purchase. I paid $750 for the old TV and for $200 less, this tv has all the bells and whistles I didn't know I was missing out on. The Picture is significantly better, the 4K UHD is stunning. The smart features were easy to configure and make transitioning to different sources seamless. I recommend this TV if you can get it while it lasts. The price is the best part. Amazon had a similar product for $50 more, I also took advantage of the $100 off XBox One X. Paired with the TV it is amazing.
