    Great budget TV

I've been researching TV's for months. The deals change so quickly from week to week that it's overwhelming. I threw my hands in the air and went into the nearest store (Wyomissing, PA). The sales associate asked how he could help and I told him that I'm looking for a TV that fits the following criteria: - Samsung or LG as I have brand allegiance to them - 1080p is fine - 55" or larger - 120Hz+ - under $1200 The sales associate was showing me Sony's and my girlfriend and I had to keep correcting him when we looked at price tags. He would say it was for something else but wasn't. He refused to show me anything under $1500 as he was convinced none of the 20+ TV's on display (or not on display) would fit my budget. Fortunately, I let him know he was in the wrong, politely, and continued looking. Ended up pulling the trigger on this TV. It was open box but fit my criteria. The other person in home theater was helpful in loading up the tv, wrapping it up, and checking me out along with the accessories I picked up. Here are my thoughts: PROS: Clarity, Smart tech, no issues despite being open box, a welcomed upgrade from my old 47" LCD LG TV (non-smart), no gimmicky BS (ie curved, 3d). COST! CONS: No remote, does that count? Real cons are the lack of HDMI ports. 2 ports really puts a damper on things, but with the soundbar and removing some devices (chromecast, etc), it works out. No bluetooth so my soundbar needs an optical input. Big deal. I give it a 4/5 due to lack of HDMI, otherwise I'm very happy. This was a long overdue upgrade (9 years) and I plan on going to an 85" once the cost comes down a bit.

For being regular HD this Samsung model still provides excellent picture quality and vivid color comparing to an HD Ultra. And it's less than half the price. Remember, it was THE best TV before the Ultras came around. Completely, worth the sale price.

After gaining knowledge of the 4k UHD 2160P hipe and the diff in 1080p. there is very limited content or channels that record or use 4k technology at the present time, but the salesperson won't tell you unless you ask. They should be advertising those TV's as "4K compatible". For everything out there is still in 1080p content and that's what you will see, unless you have 4k compatible DVD's or bluerays. Even some sports channels still record in 60hz motion rate. So this tv with 120 hz motion rate and 1080p pixels covers all bases. However, for the "way" extra money for a 4k or OLED tv, I weighed the pros and cons and am very satisfied with this tv. Have had this tv aprx 2 months now at $579 on sale. The picture is very crisp, clear and the colors are strong. I left the picture set at default settings which are fine. I did experiment with different settings in which you could get any type of picture you want if you so desire. It was easy to set up, it has numerous apps for the smart tv end, which I will never use all of them. They do take a few seconds to load, but remember this is a "tv" and not a home computer. It does only have 2 hdmi ports, but you know this before purchase. Be sure if you do purchase any LED tv in cold weather, be sure to let it sit for 24 hours to warm up before plugging in. Also when loading it in your vehicle leave it stood up...do not lay it flat! This was told to me by the best buy rep that helped me load it into my truck. He stated that the cold weather cold crack pixels if used while still cold and laying it down was not good for the led's. Possibly that is why I've read some reviews on cracked or bad pixels. In closing the 60" screen is plenty for 8 ft away, the sound is okay and can be tweaked for optimum sound, but these days people are going to sound bars and surround sound. I purchased geek squad insurance just because...it is electronics but you never know. I have a 32" Samsung tv for 3 yrs and no problems. Its a great name brand tv and you will not be disappointed for the price for a 60" HD tv!!

I was using a Panasonic Vierra entertainment center that I purchased in 2005. I wanted something modern. Originally, I looked at 4K's but honestly buying one now is premature. There's not a lot of content on the market. I wanted something with a sharp picture. I play a lot of PS4 and I stream my media. Once I came across this TV, I was sold. I noticed that a lot of TV's over 55" blurs but not on this one. In the 3 weeks that I've owned this tv, the only complaint that I can come up with (if I had to find a complaint) is the remote which is very basic. W/o all the unnecessary add-on's and bells and whistle's , this is a great tv.

I upgraded from a 42" LG which had a nice picture, but this thing takes it to a new level. For $700 it is awesome. I paired up with K450 Samsung soundbar, woofer, and rear speakers. The sound is amazing. One thing, I thought this TV had Smart Connect but I have tried everything and cannot find it on here. So I had to connect the soundbar via optical cable...still works absolutely fine and not a big deal, but just an FYI. Also, one other thing. If you are mounting the TV, it has a decent sized back and cord points out directly, so getting a super tight fit to the wall is not possible. This worked out fine for me as I have a wall mount that allows you to sit the tv off the wall a little. Other mounts that are not adjustable may not work on this model...

I bought this TV for my elderly parents for Christmas to replace their 47-inch Samsung since they were having trouble seeing detail on their smaller TV. I was committed to buying a Samsung because Samsung is the only TV brand I have never had reliability issues with (previous Visio and Sharp TV's I have bought broke after a relatively short period of time) , so I wanted to go with Samsung. The TV was easy to assemble and set up. A big plus is that the stand that comes on this TV is the reliable center pedestal type, not the new cheaper little leg stands. For this reason this TV is very stable and fits on most existing TV stands. The TV required some minor tweaking to the default contrast and brightness settings, but that is fairly normal to have to do with any new TV. After that the TV looked great. The sound was good also. I really have no complaints at all about this TV, it does everything expected for a TV in this price range.

The TV is OK. My friend purchased the 6200 series a year ago and I was pleased with it so I thought I would buy it too. I got mine on sale for black Friday, and hooked it up. The picture is beautiful, the sound needs improvement though. I have a Samsung Blueray, and soundbar that uses Anynet+. I was extremely disappointed to find that this TV DOES NOT have the Anynet+ feature; meaning you cannot use one remove for all three devices. Other than that, it seems fine. Only 2 HDMI slots too.

We adjusted the picture to dynamic & it has beautiful color. I doubt we will ever use the smart features but it is great for regular viewing. It is very easy to set up. I like the size of the stand and the thin trim around the screen. We have no problems with the sound.

Best product for those who don't need HDR TVs

I couldn't believe a Samsung TV for this price can be bought. I was not looking for anything in terms of resolution and fidelity in the HDR/4K range. But this LED TV met the expectations and exceeded in many areas. I needed a High Res TV for mainly streaming. HDR seemed to be too excessive. So I settled for this class and I am glad I did. Setup was easy. Small complaint about packaging. I wish it had one of those things that allows the sides to fall off aster removing a pin. In this packaging one has to literally reach into the mix and full up the TV out of the box. Otherwise, the setup was breeze, quality was great. The sound clarity is unexpectedly clear and crisp. Happy with the purchase.

Overall happy, hope it last and is trouble free. has a great picture and color is vibrant ! Lot of reviews said smart hub had problems, but I dont use that, I connected a HDMI from my Laptop, and one to my Direct TV, wish it had a couple more HDMI ports, 2 is not enough.

Im not an expert by any stretch and we have been watching a faded out old Toshiba 56" DLP projection for over 10+ years So anything would seem like Christmas to us ! Purchased our 60" Samsung on a whim (went to best buy to get a microwave) I love it ! been using it for about 3 weeks now and I can't get over the HD channels pictures! the regular TV channels are a bit fuzzy not as sharp but it does not matter, most things we watch are in HD The speakers are useless for sure, i just received a new surround system for the holidays and it's a thousand times better, I was surprised with the amount of inputs it has, 2 HDMI was all i needed but it should give you more options. I will read the manual sooner or later so i can use all the features, All in all I am glad I purchased this TV with a 2 year extended warranty

I would rate this a negative if I could. Less than 3 months after purchase, the TV would not turn on. No big deal, it's electronics and I got the unfortunate luck of the draw. But the lack of service by Samsung is the worst I've ever experienced. After troubleshooting for 45 minutes with an online tech, they agreed to have it repaired at my home and to expect a call to confirm time and date. I missed the first call and got a message stating that they were "closing the ticket". I called back and was told I needed to repeat the troubleshooting process, despite the fact I told them it had been done. After 30 minutes of arguing they agreed to have a tech come out and we set an appointment. About 3 hours later, another rep called- same process. After I finally convinced her to set an appointment (only after asking to speak to a supervisor), I got a call the next day from the tech saying they couldn't be out for at least two weeks. Funny that in Sacramento there are no local and available techs, and Samsung had to send one from the Bay Area. So it will have taken nearly a month to fix it- if they can. I can accept the malfunction of the product, but not the service. Hope your TV works. If not, expect to be without a TV or satisfaction. Bought another brand and plan to dump this lemon ASAP.
