Nice tv but....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install and set up. Apps work great but the sound is terrible. When you spend a grand on a tv it should be better than this. I bought a sound bar and it works perfectly!

Get the extended warranty

I purchased a cheap sound bar for less than $100 and the sound on it is much better than the TV. Also after only 2 months use a red vertical line appeared on the screen. Fortunately it was still under the manufacturer warranty so they came out and replaced the front screen at no charge, took a couple of weeks from start to finish. I probably would have given the TV a four star rating had it not had an issue with the red line.

Great tv for the price

Definitely had to tweek the settings to get the picture I wanted. I looked at my tv setting on my 32" Samsung to base it on what I wanted for this tv and I think I got it pretty close. Got it because of the price and the Samsung brand that I've always had good luck with. I would say this TV is best for a dark room setting. I've noticed it's great for live sports and live TV shows the best. Overall a good solid 1080p TV but for the price that was paid it made it even better.

excellent bang for your buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I looked into 4k which is a waste unless you rebuy every dvd you have. i looked into curved which does not want to mount on most swivel tv stands.i looked into 720 which is obsolete. i looked into 1080 standalone with no smart option which is not cost effective unless you add the smart option for a few more bucks. took me 10 minutes to set it up and pop in a dvd. a great buy for me. i watch tons of music videos on youtube. the only thing that replaces my 1980s mtv fix. you can catch this on sale for as low as 750 and get it with no interest on the store card if you can be good and pay it off on time.

Good but...

The negatives - not many HDMI ports. Often when streaming movies, etc., there is a slight delay from when an actor talks to when you hear what they are saying. It's just a split second delay but it's annoying. I was surprised and disappointed by this.

Great Picture, poor sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.To start off I bought this TV to replace my almost 9 year old Phillips 50 inch tv that was having some problems. That TV had a great picture and pretty good sound, the speakers were in the front on the bottom. I read the reviews on this Samsung but knowing that everyone has their own opinion I decided to look at it, then after, decided to buy it. I know that picture and sound can look and sound different in different surroundings. But for the price I figured it is a good deal. I just had it delivered today and set it up a couple of hours ago. First off the pros (strictly my opinion). Very easy to set up, much lighter than my old one that weighed a ton, base was simple to put on. The picture, just like in the store, is AMAZING!!! Very clear and sharp. I made a few adjustments but not much at all was needed. The remote is not bad but I will only use it for the menu and adjustments since I use the Direct TV remote anyway so I don't have much to say on it. The stand is kind of wobbly though, it does sway when you touch the tv or bump it, however after moving in a few months I plan on putting it on the wall. Now the cons (again, my opinion)... The sound is HORRIBLE. I knew there would be a difference between front speaks and back speakers, (this tv has back speakers) but come on Samsung, put some effort into it!!!! This sounds pathetic for such a big tv. It reminds me of a small hospital room tv (ya it's that bad). There is really nothing you can to to adjust it, it only gives you a couple of modes to choose from and even they still sound just as bad. You can't adjust the base or treble or anything else. I Will definitely be hooking the surround sound up to the tv (normally I have it hooked up to just the blue ray player). If it wasn't for the sound I would give this TV a higher rating but the sound is that bad!!!! I'm disappointed in Samsung for this reason. I would recommend this tv to anyone but also a sound system of some sort.

Has been a great TV

We are very happy with the purchase and now 4 years later the TV developed a vertical red line. Contacted the Geeks who were in our house the next morning who recommended replacement. Replacement was installed a week later. Summary....good TV, Good Warranty....!

Picture Failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased a similar 60” Samsung #UN60H6203AF LED Smart TV on 2-29-2015 to replace a 9 year Old Energy Hog Panasonic Plasma TV so I could save money on huge Electrical bill. Did the math and it would save me $55.00 a year plus possible cooling cost in the summer (Plasma's seem to be room heaters) , so I took the $800.00 plunge into smart LED TV figured would be even after 9 years (with KW rate hikes) but after only 33 months of use picture went dead (got sound) . Went online seems like a common problem on some Samsung TVs that manufacture extended warranty by one year after threats of a class action lawsuit but per customer service at Samsung my TV does not apply as it has all the updates (so why did this happen to mine). It's a shame that and they cant make a TV that last at least 7 years ! I have purchased several Samsung appliances and wonder how long those may last and will stay away from that brand in the future. I have talked to Customer Service at Best Buy and same story with “ Yes Samsung Smart TVs fail a lot and we are sorry wish we could help you but you have no extended warranty”.

I want to scream!

I see all the great reviews for sound yet mine sounds like it has no bass, hollow almost. Huge, beautiful picture, Mike Tyson sound! Someone please tell me if im doing something wrong and I will change my star rating! I dont feel like I should buy a sound bar or add anything more to a tv that should atleast have basic sound quality..am I wrong??

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i purchased the tv and sound bar at the same time with free delivery and set up. love both products but when the best buy delivery man came, he told me ,although courteously , that hes only allowed to do a quick setup on the tv and not on the sound bar, but he did provide some install tips. after an aft of tinkering it worked out but i wish best buy would stand by their advertising practices and honor them on big ticket items bought in their store

Works Well For Our Office Needs.

The picture and the sound are good, although the sound could be a little better, but it is just its internal speakers so you cannot expect that much. We hold our meetings via webcam and no one has had an issue on either end.

Unhappy w/ BB customer service and Samsung

After being delivered to our home we remove the TV from its box and installed it with no problems. However, it was when we wanted to make adjustments to the pictures brightness, contrast, tint and color intensity that we realized that the remote control was not included in the box's contents. We called BB customer support to report the problem and, after that had gathered the information regarding the sets model and serial numbers, were told to wait while our call was transferred to Samsung. After several minutes on hold a young lady took my call and again wanted the same info I had already supplied to BB customer support. It quickly became obvious that this young lady was inept, and incapable of executing the steps necessary to satisfy our request for a remote control. After spending at least 15 minutes answering the same questions, over-and-over again, I'd had enough and hung up the phone. In my opinion, BB should have handled this and spared me the ordeal of dealing with Samsung. The bottom line is this: neither BB or Samsung resolved this issue. And we are still without a remote control.

Great Value/1st Smart TV

The picture is very clear (even moreso if in HD). The size is not too big or too small, just right. Bought it for $699 during a Memorial Day weekend sale. Definitely recommend this purchase!

Does Not Work as Advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being a loyal Samsung customer for the last 15 years I expect the best from Samsung. My latest experience however has been less than exceptional. After reviewing a list of TVs that function with the Samsung SmartView 2.0 app I purchased a 2015 Samsung Smart TV to function seamlessly with my Samsung Galaxy S6 smart phone. Only to realize that the TV did not function with the app as advertised. I proceeded to call Samsung support to address the issue. I was transferred to a remote operator who then verified the TV is not compatible with the app. Upon being escalated to another rep I was told the TV would be receiving a software update to address the problem on Sepember 1st, 2015. The TV has not gotten an update and from what I have been told most recently, it will not receive an update in the future. Now I am past my 15 day grace period with BestBuy for a return as I was patiently waiting for an update on the advise of a Samsung customer service rep.
