Customers are saying

Customers regard the 60" Class LED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV very favorably, particularly praising its picture quality and ease of use. Many also appreciate the smart TV features, the user-friendly remote, and the affordable price. While some users noted limitations in motion rate and viewing angle, the positive feedback on other aspects significantly outweighs these concerns.

    Poor Motion

I thought this TV was a good buy but post watching it for a few days I returned it as I couldn't take the poor motion resolution and it not being able to keep up with sporting events and regular TV. It drove me NUTS. I called Samsung and they said the TV was performing to specs. If you're really into sports and want a true "great picture" without the motion issues, this is NOT the TV for you. Spend the extra $$ and get the 8000 series.

Entry Level UHD TV with Bad Refresh Rate

This is good entry level 4K UHD TV, but has just 60Hz (motion rate 120). So, TV of this size (60 inch or more) I saw more motion blur even with a video of kid clapping hands... It's very bad Samsung is doing this. If you are looking for better TV for this price range, I would suggest 1080 HD TV with 120 Hz. Not UHD TV with 60Hz. Or go with 8 series which is 120 Hz (motion rate 240), and for atleast $500 more than this TV

    Good Price but Bad Picture

I purchased this at Best Buy 8/30/2016 since they had it in stock for $949.99. Tech/sales clerk was very helpful. They loaded it in my car and I drove home and installed it. Immediate problems getting the remote to "pair" and the TV would cycle on/off on its own. Samsung tech person was no help on the phone. I plugged it in to a different outlet and it remained on and I was able to "pair" the remote but could not access the settings to adjust color, sound etc. for some time. After many attempts it finally allowed me to access the settings and after trying almost all combinations including expert settings, the picture was just not clear, sharp and either too bright or too dark. The picture on my 6 year old Samsung 55" is much better so we are returning this set. Good price but not a good picture in my judgement-my wife thought it was an awful picture. The BB tech told me it should be 4X sharper than my 6 year old set but it isn't even close. We have Direct TV high Def service.

Very high glare off screen, Netflix connect poor

I replaced a 10 year old 50" plasma that had zero problems but went with a 60" in the same spot. My living room is bright even with shades pulled and even with back light high you can barely see the picture. It's fine in the evening but I never had this issue with the old LG. Then the tv audio output for sound bar did not feed one of the two speakers. Netflix and amazon don't hold a connection. So I reverted to another roku which works fine. Smart tv is not as smart as my old plasma hooked to a roku. Best Buy is rarely responsive and the geek squad may have miswired the speakers so the fight is on. The big issue is the highly light reflective screen. Unless you have a dark room or blackout shades you will not be happy.

Great TV Picture, Terrible Privacy Issue

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought this TV a couple of months ago and it has a beautiful picture. We also used the Smart feature all the time to stream Netflix and Amazon. Today, Samsung updated their terms and conditions and is now requiring users agree to "Interest Based Advertising" in order to access any smart feature. Some may be fine with this, but I didn't buy a TV to get pop-up ads thank you. Tech support's answer when I called on this was that it was the app manufacturers that required this change. Why address something when you can just kick it down the road and point the finger at someone else? I've been a loyal Samsung customer for years, but don't see myself buying products from them in the future and wish I'd never bought this one.

    Confused

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is in no way a reflection of the Geek Squad or Best Buy. All 7+ people I dealt with were awesome. This is specifically about this tv. I don't know if I got a lemon, but my experience is completely different than the reviews I read on Best Buy before buying it (I have since read reviews on several different sites and this is the only site that gives this tv such good reviews). I have had nothing but problems with this tv. The first day was great, no issues. The second day it stopped pairing Bluetooth and dropped 2 of the picture options. I called Samsung and they told me the solution was to reset it every time this happened, which means I have to unplug it while it's on, leave it unplugged for at least an hour, then re-input all the passwords after turning it back on. This rarely fixes anything. It is now getting worse and I'm sure unplugging it several times a day while it's on is not helping (although the Samsung rep assured me it does not harm the tv). The screen has now started randomly going black, but the sound is still on and the rare instances when I can pair something, it randomly disconnects and then it won't pair anything after that, so I have to reset it again - and again... It also is starting to not turn on after unplugging it, so I have to hold the power button down for an extended period of time for anything to happen. The very rare instances that I can get it to pair anything requires: turning everything else off in the house that might pair to the speakers/headsets, unplugging the tv while on, turning the headphones on while the tv is unplugged, plugging the tv back in, wait until everything loads, then trying to pair (I have no issues pairing them with anything else). As I stated, this "only solution" is the only thing that fixes it and it is rare that it does. The picture quality for this 4k is now the same or lower than my 7 year old 42" LG 1080 led. I purchased this tv to also be used as a computer monitor so that I may see the forms I create for work clearer. Not the case - it is so blurry I can't read the text (it is perfectly legible on the LG).

    Not Direct TV Ready (RVU)

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Very disappointed as this model is advertised as Direct TV compatible (RVU) as well as prominently listed on the spec sheet at the Samsung website. Turns out that the function is inoperable with an annoying message that "this cool feature will be available soon". Samsung technical support was useless unfortunately and could commit no timeframe for the required firmware upgrade that would upgrade and enable the advertised RVU functionality. Would not recommend if this is an important feature for you - look at the Sony series instead.

Lemon - Broke in 5 months

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

5 months after usage, the TV is no longer working. a) The TV gets stuck and not responding to the TV remote. b) It continously reboots. It displays for 2 minutes, and shuts down. Restarts after one minute. Contacted Samsung support 4 times in last 1 week. They need 4 days just for the technician to contact me. I have a 1400$ lemon on my TV stand right now.
