The remote is the same one since the late 2000s. Worst of all, the display on mine went out after a week. Thankful bestbuy refunded me.

Indoor shots are way to dark at brightest setting-sometimes all you see is a face and no body or backround. The color is too yellow in shots with greenery. The T.V. only has red and green controls-it should have red, yellow, and blue. I know as I set color on ads for a major newspaper for over 20 years. I have had a t.v. in my house since 1950 and this is the only one of many that has poor color and and not adequate brightness. Would NOT recommend it to anybody.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your TU690T TV. I see that you’ve already tried adjusting your image, but I did want to share the following adjustments with you, just in case:
Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.
