Don't believe the bad reviews
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to buy this TV because of some bad reviews on here. I then looked at the total review count and saw way more 4 and 5 stars than 1-3. Decided I'd pull the trigger because the price was good and if I didn't like it, I could always return it. Picked it up last night from the store, and let me tell you, make sure you have a nice sized car/SUV/truck because the box is gigantic! Got it home and it was super easy to set up. Since I have a 55" Samsung I was aware of the stand for it and you have to put it together...piece of cake. After a few TV settings tweaks I got the picture where I wanted it. It's a gorgeous picture. Anyone complaining about the picture must expect a 4K or whatever the new technology is. Trust me, this picture is fantastic. Put on a Blu-Ray with 1080P to show my buddy and he couldn't believe how awesome it was. His words "YOU CAN SEE THE WATER DROPS!"

Best 65" for the money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Always liked Samsung. Bought a 46" LCD from Best Buy 7-8 years ago for $1599. Bought this 65" Thursday Thanksgiving eve around 10 pm in Mishawaka, In for $999. Fantastic deal! This blows the 46" away. Like a lot of people say...I don't understand what some people complain about. The clarity after adjustments almost looks 3D watching some Blue Ray. I have a Harmon Kardon surround system and play station 3. Sure...My hd dish receiver doesn't look perfect on all had channels. But that's not the Samsung tv's fault.

Needs to be tuned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only cons are no optical source and it needs to be tuned. The biggest item to tune is the motion settings. Right out of the box you will see blur during fast motion scenes. Changing the motion settings to what seems best to you and changing the picture mode to movie gets you about 97% there. If you have a decent sound bar or receiver the lack of audio outputs is not a downfall. Overall tv is very slim for the cost, only downfall on the outside is the stand is kind of cheesy, it makes for a 65" bobble head tv. I am looking into a new tv stand with an integral mount on the back. If you want a large LED w/o 3D or smart features this is for you.

what happens when a big box sells last years gear
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.its what we needed feature-wise, which is basically a 65" monitor. we have a better web connector than any of the smart tvs offer, and a great home theater system. the picture is nice and bright, with very little glare on the screen, but the colors are flatter than the non-best buy model (un65eh6000--last years model). one of the complaints of the un65eh6000 is that the first run models (version ch01) had a cheaper chinese screen. after early complaints, later models did not. my suspicion is that samsung dumped their held-over chinese screen stock on this "exculsive" best buy model. It also has edge ghosting similar to cheaper edge-lit monitors i've seen. I've spent 2 days calibrating it, and its ok, but it is going back. the real un65eh6000 looks better. sony does the same thing with the walmart exculsive items offered at Christmas. old leftovers repackaged as store exclusives at a lower price. being in retail for 20+ years, I should have known, but you couldnt even view the tv before buying it as best buy did not have it on display.

Great picture quality , great price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this online for black friday and had it delivered to my house. This TV can play videos right off your usb flash drives, which is great, because I have a lot of home videos and this makes it so easy! The box is huge, so beware. The TV looks great on the outside, is thin and viewable from almost all angles...we can watch it from any angle in the living room and even kitchen. The picture quality is amazing... we put on a blu ray and it's just amazing video quality at 1080p. The sound is decent, but don't expect great sound out of this box... you will probably want a surround sound system anyway, if you are really into sound. I only use it to hookup to my cable box and satellite, so I only needed 2 HDMI ports. Overall, pretty amazing deal for a 65 inch TV.

Awesome TV when tweaked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't let the bad reviews scare you away! This is an awesome tv for the money. It is getting a bad rap from some people who did not do there research first. The picture is awesome when tweaked (Best Buy setup ours). Sound is great with the Samsung sound bar. Blu rays look amazing! Picture is better than our Sony. You won't find a better deal!

Poor Picture Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a 52" Samsung LCD for about 5 years now, and I have been extremely satisfied with the picture quality, mainly on HD programming and Blu-Ray discs, from day one to this day, it delivers a fantastic picture. I read the reviews on this 65" LED TV and was thinking that some people might just be super picky about picture quality, and since I only needed an HDMI connection, none of the other reports of "lacking features" were of concern to me. After setting up the TV I was so disappointed in the poor picture quality. I went through almost all of my HD channels and the same problem was present throughout. It seems that only random scenes here and there look sharp and clear, but for the most part of an average length movie on HD, you will see what I call "shimmering" around certain edges of objects in the movie, anything with a distinct pattern and letters/numbers have rough or "moving" edges. Commercials for some reason seem to show all of the flaws of this television, anything with a solid color background with movement of the camera shows shadows on the screen, letters and numbers in words displayed on screen are shaking around the edges, it's like I'm watching TV on an old rear-projection TV. I just can't see how the design team and engineers, quality control groups looked at this television, nodded their heads at each other and said "Ok, let's send it to production". I've modified the picture settings after researching online about various combinations to try out, each one falling short of even a modest expectation of a new TV. I simply don't know if all LED TVs are like this, or if just large ones reveal the flaws behind this technology. I would like to return this TV to Best Buy and exchange for another one, but don't know which one to get, also willing to pay a little more or go down in size a bit, as long as I get a good picture.

Excited at first, bummed after watching football
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually purchased the 60 inch model for $999 a month ago, but was stoked when i saw the 65 inch model for the same price. I read the bad reviews but decided to give it a shot since I know some people are super picky. The size of the TV is noticeable compared to the 60. I upgraded my 60 inch Samsung from an LG 55 inch led and my wife didnt notice a size difference. The picture in the 65 looked great after I tweaked the settings. I installed it this past sunday so i was ready for my football games. I immediately noticed the players had pixels around during the game. My 60 inch didnt have this issue. :( if you don't watch sports then your good. This is my living room tv and I need it for football, boxing, hoops and everyday viewing. Unfortunately ill be keeping the 60 inch tv and returning the 65. Ill just wait til a better 65 is released. Hope this helps

Good value, not the best picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this yesterday on Black Friday, was hesitant w/ the 120hz motion. I have a Samsung plasma currently and it will stay current since I'll be returning this one. The picture quality isn't bad, but the motion for sports isn't good and the true HD quality is much better in a plasma or possibly a better quality TV? Also, didn't realize that it only had 2 HDMI ports. Overall, for the value, it's not a bad TV - but for someone who can spot quality of picture isn't not great. For most people it'd be a good fit.

Beautiful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a great 65" Samsung TV, exactly what was needed. Xfinity HD and Blu Ray movies are a joy to watch. All of my Video game systems like Xbox 360 & Xbox One work well and look great. This television is a true bargain and I think any one on a budget will be delighted with the product.

A good large BASIC tv set
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv as a Black Friday special, $999 for a 65" Samsung?!, where do i sign up? Had it delivered since i bought it online, hung it on the wall and started the non stop task of trying to get the best picture. Some things that confused me or left me unimpressed were the lack of inputs, I knew there was no Optical port on this tv and that there was only two HDMI, I was fine with that, but it didn't even have a cable hook up?! I know this is a model made for Black Friday and they wanted to keep the costs down, but that shocked me. Also I have a 55" Samsung tv, and it has a picture setting called "Natural" which I think really brings the picture to life, this tv did not have that setting, only Dynamic, Standard & Movie. I'm sure you could find the settings to manually adjust the tv to that setting, but who has time for that. I ended up returning the TV not for lack of internal or external features, but rather the significant light bleed from the edges of the tv, no matter what picture settings I choose (some did lessen it) it was always there. I took a picture and showed the staff at my local BB and they agreed it was not normal. I ended up getting the 60" Samsung 6200 Smart tv, it was the same price, but was 5" smaller, I took the hit and am much happier with the features and picture. Additionally, the staff at my local BB were beyond amazing with the exchange, they even picked up the 65" and delivered the 60", no hassle, no issues, just 100% AMAZING customer service. The long and short is: This tv is nice, but again like all the other reviews say, be aware of what you need in a tv set, and hopefully you get one that does not have light bleed or other quality control issues of a product manufactured at high speeds to get it on the shelf ASAP.

I'm very pleased with my purchase.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked up one of the last of these in the Atlanta area and I'm glad I did! Picture is great after finding some settings out on the web from other customers. Can't beat the price for a 65" LED. Fits well with my entertainment center and receiver. Just in time for the Big Game!

No Problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this TV on Thanksgiving. I received it on 12/7 and have it mounted on the wall in my basement Rec room. I also own a Samsung UN46C6300 and a UN32E5000. The picture settings on this unit require tweaking out of the box, and after trying some of the settings on the previous posts, I am satisfied with the picture; the quality is not noticeably different from my other Samsung models. I don't have any bleeding/ghosting issues. As far as inputs/sound, yes, I knew what it was going in. I also bought a Sony receiver and will soon have additional speakers for surround sound. At 999 bucks, I would recommend; pass at 1499 for a higher end model.

Great TV for price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a simple, large, flat panel TV with a great picture. This TV delivers. I did not want to pay for smart TV features that are redundant with Roku, Apple TV, PS4, or XBoxOne (why pay double or triple the cost when I have one or more of these systems?). Same with sound - I have the TV hooked to a stereo receiver with upgraded speakers.

This is an awesome TV for the money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was our first "big screen" TV purchase in a long, long time and so we were a bit anxious about how the TV would perform and satisfy our needs. We'll, it did not disappoint. The TV is light and easy ti set up. Colors are sharp and vibrant. And the on-screen set up menus are easy to navigate and adjust. Great value!!

Not a quality tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV on black Friday, but end up return it the next day. This tv is the lower end model of the UN65EH6000FXZA, with no audio out, the placement of all the ports is on the back of the tv instead of on the side on the UN65EH6000, it is a problem if you hang this tv on the wall like me, but most important the screen is blurry and need adjustment. If you are considered buying this tv, I seriously suggest you go buy the UN65EH6000 model.

Not so good..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, beware that this TV is severely restricted in what you can do with it. It has inputs only, no outputs of any kind. 3 Total inputs, and only 2 of them are HDMI. No audio output of any type, which is ridiculous for a TV this expensive, and means so you are stuck with the built-in sound unless you run all your inputs through an A/V system. My advice it spend a little more for a Smart TV, and get one with useful features..
