    Not Worth The Money

This TV was on sale for Black Friday. $999. A pretty good deal but after bringing the TV home it's obvious why it's on sale. Picture quality is very dull and not what i've come to expect from Samsung. We have a 55" LED already and wanted to upgrade. BUT quickly put the old tv back on the wall and this one back to Best Buy. If you've never had an HD TV before this would be good. But for someone who has always had great tv's this is not the one for you.

Purchased this TV on black friday. There is a reason this TV was sitting at the front of the store. Like another review said this TV is not for someone who already has a good HDTV. Maybe if you previously had a black and white TV this would appeal to you otherwise you will not be happy with the picture for anything other then Blu-ray. Doesn't matter if you sit 10ft or 15ft away the picture is not what is expected from a Samsung. Very unhappy with this purchase. Best buys return policy is good and this TV was promtply returned.

    DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS

*****W A R N I N G***** Do not buy SAMSUNG Televisions!!! After the one year warranty period SAMSUNG Television screens tend to show burn-in and ghosting with horizontal lines, along with very heavy distortion of picture on right side of screen. This problem is systemic in all their LCD's and LED's. Consumer's have complained all over the internet. There are even numerous Youtube postings with the exact same problems as in my DEFECTIVE SAMSUNG model, as well as the same DEFECT in other models. This defect occurs upon start-up, and lasts for the first 15 minutes of trying to view a program. Then the picture gets progressively worse over time and continuously declines. I tried SAMSUNG's Executive Customer Relations Dept. and was told: "We will do nothing but refer you to a local Authorized Repair Shop." They were downright blunt and rude to boot! I feel robbed of $2,900.00 The repair will consist of a diagnosis visit, and then another visit to install a replacement "Panel" that costs $1,300.00 for the part plus $279.00 to install, plus taxes......all told, another $1,719.16....basically, buy another TV. SAMSUNG customer service also told me that their Televisions depreciate at 20% per year, and they do not repair any of their products after 4 years! Their own repair people told me to just buy a new set!!! If I save one family the heartache of losing they're hard-earned money, I'll be happy! SAMSUNG CONS: No Customer Support Systemic Panel Defect Ghosting of images Burn-in on screen Distorted picture Very expensive to repair

    Clouding on screen

Just bought this today on black Friday sale. Get it home and hook it up. Right away I notice a large (35% of screen) with a grayish/white blotch most noticeable on the blank dark screen. I researched this and it's termed "clouding" and happens to LED screens. This is not acceptable since I notice it. I'm returning the TV tomorrow for an exchange. I'll update again and hopefully this was just a lemon. Clouding info: http://www.pcmech.com/forum/home-theater-audio-video/228648-large-led-tvs-clouding.html

    Really Wanted to Like it

This is the first 50+ inch TV I have purchased. We bought it for our living room and it was supposed to be used for watching Blu-Rays, HD cable and Netflix. I've always found Samsung tv's had the best looking screen so I was looking to buy one, but opted to wait until black friday. For months I was looking at the 65" 240HZ Samsung Smart TV and at the last minute this monstrosity pops up for Black Friday, so I think to myself "It's Samsung, I don't need the Aps or the 3D and I can save $1,000". How wrong I was! This TV is horrible. The preset viewing modes are all useless, I tried tuning it, still awful, I tried the settings other people posted for it, still horrible. The blacks on this TV are all pixeled no mater how you tune it. After 5 days of frustration I returned it today (returning a 65" TV without the box is Mayhem as well). The worst part of it is that I missed out on saving a few hundred dollars on the TV I wanted :( I would not recommend this TV to anyone. My 3 year old 60hz sony bravia looks better than this TV. Enough Said.

    Poor Picture

We bought this for Black Friday thinking we were getting a great deal for what we thought was one of the greatest name brand tvs.... Boy where we wrong. I'm very disappointed in Samsung and don't think I'll ever buy another samsung tv. Needless to say we returned the tv for an LG Smart Tv. The picture quality is horrible, blurry and the HD channels didn't even help. We tried changing all sorts of settings which I feel you shouldn't have to change a lot of settings right out of the box except to make it how you like it if that makes sense. There weren't any reviews on the tv because it was new so had to go for the thought of the brand. Don't buy this tv. Not worth the Black Friday sale or the price it shows now.

Do not buy - NO AUDIO OUT

    Posted .

While the display and build quality seems to be on par with Samsung's stellar reputation, unfortunately this television lacks many basic features. FYI this television does NOT include: any audio out whatsoever (no audio jack, no A/V jacks out). This means that if you have any additional speakers that you would like to use, you cannot use them unless you purchase a A/V Receiver that has HDMI capability, which will cost you an additional $200. You will want to use additional speakers as the built-in speakers are sub-par. These are all features that my 5 year old 720p Samsung 32 inch has. Overall, although the price tag is attractive - save your money and purchase a more well-equipped television.

Total power failure after 1 week of use!

Bought this online, Thanksgiving special. Samsung had a good reputation. Within a week of actually using the TV, there was a total power failure. Samsung replacement parts are on back order. Consequently, the TV is being returned. The picture quality was not good. If you bought one of these , I would strongly urge you to invest in an extended warranty, you will probably need it. We attempted to call the Best Buy service center and was disconnected 7 times after talking with the service rep. We ended up having to call Samsung ourselves!

    Bad customer service

Bought this tv without realizing there is no audio output port. Whoops on my part, but my gripe is with how the folks at the return counter treat you when you want to return it. The guy kept trying to up sell me to another tv with audio output ports and when I kept insisting that all i wanted to do was return the tv, he got an attitude with me. I have been a bestbuy customer for over a decade, but I have had it with the hassle one needs to go through to return some things with them. I will not buy big ticket items here anymore.

    Large T.V, horrible motion picture

We purchased this Samsung TV for black Friday. When we hooked everything up we realized it did not have an optical output. The picture quality when the picture is not moving was nice, but any motion, and the picture becomes blurred. It did not have a quality picture for watching action or anything with a lot of movement. Focus took a while to catch up, so until then, faces were a moving blur. Overall you can't please your wallet and your eyes at the same time. This is not the tv for someone who likes a quality picture.

We purchased 2 Samsung TVs at the same time, One works fine and the other has lost the picture in less than 10 hrs use. Unfortunately, it was out of warranty by a month. And, it may not be repairable. Google "Samsung sound but no picture" before purchasing. If you do buy, get the extended warranty--you will likely need it. We found this out the hard way.

This TV cannot output sound. Who wants a huge TV with garbage audio. The best buy sales guy sold me an audio bar, optical cable and this TV. after installing the TV and finding out he was all wrong - I'm VERY disappointed. I'm taking the TV back. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. You get what you pay for so don't let a sales person fool you - do your homework.

bough this tv as a doorbuster for black Friday , thought it was a great deal for the price . I am disappointed in the quality and time samsung put on this tv. returning the tv and purchasing a panasonic 60 inch vt60. Yes is a lot more expensive but is worth the quality and price. Panasonic vt series are the best tv period.

Beware all Buyers. This is a visually terrible TV. You won't know till you get it home and use it, since there is no working display in the store for this model. That should have told me all I had to know. I though all I had to know was it was a Samsung. I was wrong Samsung makes bad TV's too.
