bought this to go in a basement and it looks great even before you turn it on! Once on the picture is great and lives up to the Samsung reputation for vivid detail, contrast, and all around good picture.

This tv is exactly what I was looking for did not want any smart features I already have all that with my other components. I just wanted a Large display with a good Picture.. Thanks Best buy and Samsung.

Picture is great sound is great we play though a speaker system. The base is not as sturdy as it should be. The only time that is a concern is when I am cleaning around the base I just have to be careful

Purchased this television as a joint Christmas present for my husband and I. It was delivered quickly and the picture quality is excellent. I have no complaints. Great television for its size and price.

I searched for almost two years, looking for the best large screen TV for the best value and this TV is it. The picture is very clear, once the adjustments were complete. Very happy with this Samsung!

Don't go in expecting a lot of features. It has a great picture after adjustments. Use the internet for help with picture adjustments. I have a home theatre system so the TV sound wasn't a problem.

Best Buys had this online only, The screen width & height are perfect as is the picture. I had a medium sized room and this fits perfectly!! As always, Samsung makes a great TV with great value.

After reading several reviews from people who received their TVs prior to myself, I like many people started to feel a bit concerned. Countless negative reviews about lack of HDMI ports and the fact that it does not come with an audio out connection, but I sat there and thought to myself would I be reading all of this negativity if people simply knew what they were buying first? The answer for me unequivocally was NO. I starting reading reviews about the picture quality and how it wasn't so great and I started thinking "Oh man, What did I buy?!?". Let me just tell you I'm really glad I gave this TV a chance! Let me just preface this by saying, I'm not an audio/video-phile, but I am somewhat picky when it comes to picture quality. I worked for best buy as a Home Theater Supervisor like 10 years ago and that hardly makes me qualified to talk about the newest technology, but one thing that has not changed is that TVs sometime may require calibration. Calibration can be even the slightest adjustment of the picture settings or full blown using a calibration DVD to adjust your picture to just the way that you want it. This TV like many, MAY need an adjustment in the settings to suit your room or viewing area, but when you do make those adjustments (if you feel that you need to) then I can confirm that you will be pleasantly surprised and be happy with this purchase. I spent about a week researching the calibration settings for this TV, some of which you can find in the reviews below. This is a great starting point for you start determining what looks best to you. I emphasize that some people are perfectly happy with the TV out of the box, but the point that I'm trying to drive home is that this TV is awesome for the price if you do NOT require more than 2 HDMI outputs and do not require an audio out. After finding the settings that worked best for my living room, this TV has been fantastic. The sound on the TV is solid enough and watching sports on this TV has been great. You will definitely catch a little bit of "motion blur" during certain sporting events, but nothing major (I just watched the Anderson Silva fight last night and it looked fine). Make sure you wipe down the screen before viewing as I actually thought there was something wrong with my TV prior to cleaning the screen and you may encounter some glare because this is not a matte screen. THIS IS NOT A SMART TV, so do not expect the smart features. This is a TV in the original essence of what a TV was and has been for quite some time and that is a screen that shows video on it (what a concept..lol ). If you do not need or are not interested in apps for your TV or you currently have a gaming console that allows you to access Netflix, etc then there is a good possibility that this TV would be perfect for you. I watch sports, I watch movies, and watch CNN and Sportscenter. This TV has been more than sufficient for all of it. At the end of the day everyone's opinion is different in terms of what they enjoy and what is reasonable enough for them. Bottom line is I found this TV to be an outstanding value at $999, and there is a possibility that I would still buy it at it's current price point depending on what you're looking for and what else is available.

Purchased for Anniversary/Christmas present and I am very happy with it. The picture quality is great with bright, vivid colors. The speakers are good quality; volume range is great.

There was no demo setup for this model, so I could not verify the image quality of the TV. After unpacking, I found that the image image quality was not as expected. However, after some time and research online, I found suggested setups and played with them a little and now I have a good picture. For the price the little extra work was well worth buying the TV.

I'd give it 5 stars, but was seriously disappointed there was only 1 A/V component input. Yes, the A/V input and component input is shared, so you can only have 1. It does have 2 HDMI inputs. But not great when working with old equipment., had to swap out an old DVD player for a new one with an HMDI connection so I could keep the Wii connected on the A/V input.

So far I have enjoyed this TV. Not only did we get a smokin deal we saved over $1500, and got a great TV with a clear picture. I would definitely recommend this model to everyone.

If you are looking for a basic LED TV, this is great! Hooked it up to all my devices through my surround sound system and ROKU, and it performs great! No complaints, great price!
