I liked this TV in the showroom due to the clarity and brightness, but after consultation with some of my buddies I came to realization the TV would not be that great for fast action such as football. The main reason I wanted the TV was for football and the salesman said it would not be as fast as plasma even though the TV specs state it has 720 Clear Motion Rate. I guess Samsung is trying to impress that 720 CMR is better than 600Hz refresh rate with a higher number. I ended up going with Panasonic Viera Plasma TC-P65ZT60 and I am glad changed my purchase to this TV because the picture quality is unreal.

This product does NOT perform as advertised. They claim that it connects easily with other remote devices and allows you to surf the web from your television. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is a good television for which you pay a premium for unusable Internet access.

I exchanged a Panasonic TC-p65st60 after only one day for this tv. While the Panasonic may have a very slightly better picture in a dark room it simply does not compare during the day. Picture is bright and vivid and sound is actually very good for a tv of this size (much better than the Panasonic). The tv hooked up to the internet with no issues and it is extremely easy to share pictures and video especially with Samsung phones and tablets. The touch sensitive remote is fantastic and it started controlling my cables box (all features) without typing any codes. I have no idea how it does that but it's awesome. Thanks again to Best Buy for allowing me to correct my "mistake" and exchange for this awesome set. I know you might be able to save a few dollars shopping online but for me nothing beats dealing with a sales guy who knows his stuff and is there in case anything goes wrong

I had an issue with the Samsung 7500 series, however between Geek Squad and Best Buy they handled the situation very well. I wound up buying this new 7100 series the week it was released from Samsung and I could not be happier. This new TV is the new version of the 7500 series (now discontinued). Samsung listened to the few complaints and did fix the edge lighting issues and the poor Smart TV storage. They stll should have added more data storage, but it is not really needed. My only complaints are the standard remote is now only the small Smart Remote and the wireless internet is still weak (I now use a direct cnnect Ethernet line and it is really fast). I use a Harmony 900, so 99% of my functions are covered, but I still need to use the stock remote from time to time as the "mouse pad" on the remote is still usefull. I also use the Logitech K400 wireless keyboard and so far it seems to work pretty well. Bottom line, you need to have good HDMI cables to make this TV shine (I am using AudioQuest Cinnamon HDMI cables), but so far I am very happy with this set.

We were looking for an upgrade to our LG 55" (1st-gen LED) for the big game. Looking for something larger with a great image, better motion processor, and fantastic color saturation (especially ORANGE!). The new 4K were still out of our reach, especially at larger than our existing 55". Have always been a fan of the 7 Series Samsungs, and with the price dipping to near $2K it was a no-brainer. Set it up temporarily on the stand until I could track down my hardware (bolt size on the LG were M4 and the Samsung is M8) but was a breeze to install as it was much lighter and thinner than the LG 1st-gen LED. So regardless how you set it up, it's easy. A little challenging learning how the touch-pad worked on the remote, but as we run everything off a Harmony remote, it was only a necessary evil until I reprogrammed the Harmony. Picture quality is phenomenal! Regardless of source (DISH, AppleTV, Blu-Ray) the image was great! Blurring/haloing of edges in motion with the LG are long gone with 240Hz processing, and, most importantly, ORANGE comes in great! As we run everything through our Onkyo AV receiver, the sound from the TV was irrelevant, but I did listen to it prior to writing this and the sound was as good as any from the TV itself (and then promptly muted it in favor of my AV system. We weren't a big fan of 3D, but as the TV came with it, we bought a new Blu-Ray 3D (also Samsung) to replace the PS3 that served as our player over the years, and we were floored with the quality (and reduced eyestrain) with the new active glasses. At 65" we found ourselves swatting and flinching. Oh, and 'regular' BDs come in just fine! Commentary: Not really a problem with the device, more of marketing, but as you go up higher in size/quality with these units, inevitably the features pile up (multiple HDMIs, USBs, LAN, 'Smart TV' functions, etc.). Not that it's a bad thing...but as we basically use the unit as a monitor, with our Onkyo AV receiver handling the HDMI chores, we really didn't need too many bells and whistles on the TV end. Unfortunately, its the nature of the beast, and certainly a high-quality 65" 'monitor' wouldn't be much cheaper. So, I will re-program my Harmony to create a 'smart tv' option that leaves the control with the TV (and not another source) and hopefully that'll make me feel better about getting at all the features we didn't want (but paid for).

I did a lot of research and read countless reviews before finally deciding to buy this TV. We upgraded from a 60" Sony, and couldn't be happier! We've had it for 2 weeks and absolutely love the picture and all the features in it. The one bad thing that I kept reading about in reviews was the difficulty of using the remote, which personally I found to be untrue. It was pretty easy to get used to the touch pad and the other features on the remote. My only complaint about it is the clicking of the touch pad. I guess it's extremely sensitive because it stopped functioning after about 10 days of use. It makes it impossible to use certain features like Netflix because I'm unable to make a selection or type anything. I have contacted Samsung though and we are working on replacing it.

My review....well, I have to start by saying this TV is awesome. Every time a friend or family member sees it for the first time they are amazed by the picture and the features, and I get tons of compliments. The 65" looks awesome in my man cave and I love watching TV and movies on it as well as playing PS3 games. It has the nicest picture of any TV I have ever owned and I have currently own other Sony and Samsung flat screens. It still amazes me every time I turn it on how nice it is. I really do smile each time I sit down and turn it on. The remote is easy to use after you get used to it. I still use my cable remote though some of the time. I love the voice control and all of the voice features. And, the built-in wifi is awesome. I love listening to music through Pandora and watching movies through Netflix is really cool too. I know this TV is more expensive than most TVs, but TV's like LG, Insignia, Coby, Westinghouse or Sharp TV don't come close in comparison to this one. You get what you pay for, so if you can afford a nice toy, then this TV is definitely worth the money. And, if you buy it and don't like it, just return it for a different TV. I have no regrets whatsoever and hope this TV lasts for many many years to come. When the time comes to replace a smaller 46" TV with a new one, I am going to get this 46" model. I didn't see a huge difference with the 8100 series, except for the price, so I went with the 7100 series. Enjoy!

I've moved from 32" to 40", 60" to this 65" tv and I don't regret it. If you have the money treat yourself to this tv and enjoy movies at the comfort of your home. It has everything I need and does it well. The only complain I have is not even about the TV, is about the remote. It kills batteries like no other and I can barely count 10 buttons so I don't know why batteries don't last. Haven't had it tweaked professionally bc I think the price is a little high and I like the picture I get from it. Look online for best settings.

I have a bit of mix feelings about this TV. In one hand you have great picture quality, excellent features such as wireless connection, DLNA, good number of applications, easy to use, very thin design. Over all very happy with the product. I have read a many reviews before purchasing the product and number 1 complaint was speaker sound. In my opinion its sounds pretty good for what they are. Personally I much rather have a very thing TV with little to no speaker, and add sound-bar or surround sound than heavy set TV box. On the flip side there are two things that really bother me about this TV in general especially with mostly all samsung tv's. Overprice, and really bad 3D.With other brands you can save a few hundred dollars and very similar quality with similar features. If your looking for great TV experience, with a large range of bright colors, amazing picture for games, movies, sports, and slim design, then this is it. If your more of a 3D movie watcher, perhaps check out Sony or LG as they are probably better fit.

This TV is incredible right out of the box. I didn't require any special calibration or settings adjustments. Sounds quality is pretty decent but I plan on getting a home theater to compliment this TV. I have a Sony 55inch 3D TV, 240Hz and this Samsung simply blows my Sony away. The 3D is amazing and pairing the glasses is easy. I am disappointed that the glasses aren't rechargeable and they battery life on them are pretty terrible. Only lasts a few movies. Other than that.. AWESOME TV.
