Customers consistently note the Samsung TV's exceptional picture quality, with many praising its 3D capabilities. The TV's user-friendly design and easy setup process are also widely appreciated. Samsung won't honor its warranty.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My UN65F7100, manufactured in Sept. 2013 and received Oct. 26 has two light-colored, thumb-sized dead spots in the center of the screen (they look similar to pressure points) about six inches down from the top and 10 inches apart. These spots show up on all lighter-colored scenes and especially when there is movement in the video (a pan). If you're at all experienced with video production or are into picture quality, the light spots will be all you see. If you go to Samsung's website and look at reviews for the 7100 series, you'll see another reviewer had the same problem and includes a photo of the dead spot. The last three weeks, I've spent hours on the phone with Samsung and the "Executive Customer Relations" department seeking a remedy. While the local TV technician they sent to photograph/document the problem and Samsung's ECR customer service reps agree the spots don't appear to be within specification, I'm told the Panel Evaluation Department has looked at the photos and determined the white spots are "within factory specs." Samsung is refusing to fix this manufacturing defect (they said I would have to pay for a new 65" panel). For years, I've been an enthusiastic Samsung customer, but this experience has been horrible. If Samsung won't honor its warranty and correct a manufacturing defect on a big-ticket item, I would suggest you'd be wise to look to other TV manufacturers...ones willing to stand behind their products.

Disappointed in Picture Clarity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV to replace a three year old 55” Sony LED that I was giving it to my daughter when she moved out of my house. The Sony has an excellent picture and I knew it would be hard to match the quality but I wanted a larger TV for my theater. After hours of in-store research, adjusting picture quality, comparing it to other TVs nearby the picture quality of this TV seemed close if not equal to my Sony so I made the purchase. After setting up the Samsung and several hours of adjustments it was clear that the picture quality did not even come close to the Sony. I re-boxed the TV that same night and returned it the next day.

An amazing TV.

Beautiful picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this television until the sound went out after just 32 days. you have to have a sound bar because the internal speakers just are not adequate. Now I have to wait another week for a replacement television. Will update my review after having the replacement television a good six months . My phone is a Samsung Galaxie S4. I was hoping the t.v. was as great as the phone. What an awesome picture though.

PQ is not that great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off I buy Samsung tvs because their the brightest hd tvs, this one has the brightness I'm looking for, but what it doesn't have is the HD detail I have in my Samsung 55" and lower tvs I have. I was pre-worn by a Best Buy employee that 65 inch TVs do not display that great of quality that's why they are coming out with 4k tvs, but still gave it a chance (and lost). Back to a 55" for me.

Do NOT buy this TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're buying this TV for its 'smart' features, don't bother. The wifi is so annoyingly slow that we have to hook up a Playstation or Wii to stream Netflix and Hulu. I had a tech diagnose it and replace the wifi module. It worked for a few weeks, and now it's barely responsive again. When attempting to stream a movie, the TV works so hard that the remote is unresponsive. While streaming you can't adjust the volume or even turn the stupid thing off. You have to unplug it. I filled out an online service report/scheduling, to which Samsung never replied. Now, the warranty is void and I'm stuck with it. I heard that this unit isn't even manufactured by Samsung. The tech told me that it's made by a cut-rate manufacturer who puts the Samsung name on it. STAY AWAY…. You'd be better off buying LG.
