Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a lot of on line research as well as in store checking, I decided on the Samsung UN65HU8550 model 4k tv. I am replacing a Panasonic 54 inch plasma, which I have nothing but praise for. The picture is fantastic on the Samsung and hook up is not overly difficult. Once hooked up, the setup is almost automatic, except for the controller. I could not get the controller to control all of the functions that I have and had to use some of the controllers for the equipment that I had attached to the tv. Fortunately, my son gave me an Harmony 700 remote for Christmas, and after some effort, I have it controlling all of the devices - receiver, bluray and cable. In summary, the tv itself is great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a top of the line tv experience.

Set it up to get the most out of it

Had a few issues setting up the TV picture since we have a large bright room during the day and almost black at night if the light is off. So I used two of the presets to adjust for day and night viewing. Do yourself a favor and either get the CNET settings or google the settings and read what people are doing about the options and settings out of the box and then adjust to your liking and/or room conditions.
