FAIR WARNING....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on Best Buy for the 300 bucks bonus. guess I either should have waited till it came down in actual price or never ordered the darn thing in the first place! A couple months into owning the TV, the right side has major light bleed. Ok, I can deal with that. Now the upper righthand corner has an obvious problem dimming when darker scenes are played. I even disconnected everything and plugged my Samsung blu ray player into the back of the TV, avoiding any issues with my surround setup.... still a full moonish type light area in the upper right hand corner.... So not a total loss but when you pay 3k for a TV, you expect optimal performance. Apparently Samsung doesn't agree. After spending a few hours on the phone and resetting the TV and such I finally got a work order to fix it. The local TV guy said to send him a picture of the issue so he knows what part to order. Fine, sent him pics, he sent them to Samsung. They basically rejected the fix and said it was within normal operating parameters and that I might have my settings turned all the way up. (actually I have read a lot of CNET reviews, reviews on Amazon, etc... and have moved most of my settings closer to calibration type settings than the novice tv watcher... I mean I paid 3 grand for it, I am going to set it up correctly)... but I digress. BOTTOM LINE, I like the tv but I must say the normal operating parameters quoted by Samsung are a joke. customer service could not satisfy me in any way and I am stuck with a 3,000 dollar tv that is annoyingly bad when watching at night. All I can say is fair warning and I am never buying a Samsung product again, ever, after getting the treatment I just received. hopefully others have better experiences, but I did not.

Picture great both everything else sucks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you just use it as TV this Samsung is great. I watch 4k movies on Netflix and the picture is stunning. 3D movies from Netflix however do not work and Samsung support cannot fix it. Huge disappointment . The Samsung Smartview apps don't work on a Mac or Iphone, even they exist and Samsung promotes them. They work clumsy and unacceptable slow on a Windows PC. Skype does not work (because guess what in your $3000 TV is no camera...), Windows OneDrive does not sync pictures no matter what you do, there is no app for Flickr to see you pictures and per USB you get a bunch of error messages... So all the interesting stuff is badly implemented. Step it up Samsung, I feel like a Beta Tester.

extreme blur and judder
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is is my 4th Samsung led and 5th overall. Was looking for a large led for newly finished basement to watch sports and a few movies. Thought going with a 1200 CMR would be ideal for sports. I was wrong, motion blur and judder are twice as bad as on my less expensive Samsungs. There are several picture adjustments but none of them do any good. 4K is cool but maybe years if at all before there is actual 4k programming. The 4K up scaling is merely a gimmick , looks like 1080p, My advice is save some $ and skip the 4K Ultra and if you are a sports fan and have low lighting go Plasma.

Jerking Motion for reg shows; blurry for sports
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this unit with some reservations. Got it home and set it up. Immediately TV shows were jerky. Called Samsung and they had me reset cable box. Reduced jerkiness of pictures, but did not totally resolve. Fast forward to NFL Sunday. Terrible. Any movement is blurred. Will now work with both Best Buy and Comcast to resolve and will return TV if it isn't resolved shortly. Old Samsung DLP did not have these issues. Just felt it was time to upgrade. One step forward; two steps back.

Stops working after one year customer support poor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is a total waste of hard earned money, It is very blurry, images are totally bad. Don't be fooled by what you see in the store. Normal TV provider don't support that resolution and this TV will show all the shortcomings. Also TV stopped working after warranty expired. It does not turn on, you have to wait half an hour after you press the button before seeing anything TV like happening. Connectivity is poor , it can't connect to a network hard drive , it connects (maybe) only to other Samsung products. My advice? get a SONY , images are far better and cost ten times less. I will stay away from anything with Samsung in it.

Poor picture for game or fast moving sport
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be aware that this TV has a very big time lag, making the sport watching experience very painful and bad. For example tennis or soccer ball exhibits a very pronounced blur that you can't fix with the given setup options. Even the Geek Squad wasn't able to fix it. Don't buy this TV if you want to play game on it.
