Just the HDTV that I was looking for!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for an HDTV (we would not benefit from UHD for our TV viewing distance). Looking for a good picture plus some streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime. This TV has an excellent picture (use the rtings.com recommended settings), and the Netflix app works really well. As a bonus, the sound is also excellent for built-in speakers, using the "virtual surround". Low-res video (like SD TV channels) looks great, excellent upscaling. I think that the Sony HDTV that we had that broke had slightly better upscaling, but this one works really well also. We were going to get the UN65J6200, but I read on rtings.com that the upscaling on it wasn't very good, and I do watch some SD programs, so that matters to me. As well as having a regular DVD player that needs to be upscaled. Also, the J6200 has less connections, and the "Smart Hub" that it has is supposed to be slower, as well. Anyways, short timer here, couple of weeks, but everything I use is working really well. Happy with this TV, and 65" is a good size from 11 feet away. Like I mentioned, the old Sony HDTV broke, that was after only about 5 years, not happy with that. Hoping that this one lasts for longer, liking it a lot more.

Samsung Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My fourth Samsung TV. The largest I had previously was 46" so this 65" is indeed a nice upgrade. I thought hard about the 4K models but realized that to get the most out of that technology, you'd have to go with a much higher price point and not the 60hz which is on the lower priced models. Also, there isn't a lot of 4K content out there for the average user. This model, while not perfect, can be adjusted for optimum viewing. Some programs seem to look better with different settings. I do find myself using the picture settings more than ever in order to find the right mix. I am happy with the purchase and will be adding a Samsung soundbar.

Poor upscaling
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an Avid Samsung Fan, I have brought 3 TV's from Samsung, I have a Samsung Note 4, My Camcorder is from Samsung Etc. I finally decide to upgrade my TV so I went with this 65 inch J6300AFXZA based off of Rting reviews. For the 1st time I am not happy with a Samsung product. The Upscaling on this TV is terrible, I love the OWN network and it's not in HD in my area as of yet, every show that came on that channel was horrible. I am also a football fanatic and I wasn't impressed by the picture, even after I used the sports button. The main reason I brought a 65inch was for football, so I'm am very disappointed. The picture is good on some HD channels/ not a good T.V if your a Sports fan.
