After researching tvs for more than a year I finally pulled the trigger on the ks9000. In the beginning I wasn't really that impressed with the picture quality, so much so, I seriously thought about returning it. The picture was kind of grainy, dull, and it appeared to be no better than the most basic 1080p. So after tempering my frustration I tried to see if there was something I could do to unlock this tv's potential. First, after messing around with the picture settings and failing, I went online to find some calibration recommendations from others who own this model tv. Needless to say, I was quickly reminded of the fact that picture settings are not one size fits all. Most of the recommendations led me to a picture that made me hate the tv even more. So after trying everything I could think of, and trying everything that was recommended, I was done. My husband on the other hand, decided to take a crack at adjusting the settings before we took it back and I'm so glad he did. Admittedly, my husband calibrating this tv wasn't exactly giving a beacon of hope. He's color blind, hates watching tv, hates how "defined" the pictures are on modern tvs, and he's not very tech savvy. Imagine my shock when I walked back into the room and he had configured a picture that was AMAZING. I went from absolute disappointment to feeling like I got a new toy on Christmas. The black levels are, in my opinion, way better than the Sony 940D, and that crisp vivid picture wows me everyday. I will also tell you that the picture seems to get even better over time. I'll be getting a sound bar for an enhanced overall experience but it really isn't a must; the sound is pretty good on its own.This was a great buy. Thank you hubby:)

I needed to upgrade to a 65" from my previous Samsung 50" led . The picture is incredible through RCN Cable even though they do not broadcast in 4k. I use the TV to view video filmed through my Go Pro at 4k and its incredible , Colors are vibrant and sharp in just standard mode , The TV is also used for XBOX One ( Non 4k Unit ) and is amazing , It even has a game mode to correct some game play features for example before if you were playing pinball on an LED the flippers would be delayed , responding late , Same here until you switch to game mode and it corrects it . I also watch video filmed through my Canon 5D Mark III ( Non 4K Body ) and its as sharp , vibrant and perfect as expected . The TV is extremely thin , If you lean the Top of TV to the ground face first to remove the stand , The TV will flex . So make sure you are careful removing the supplied TV stand when mounting to a wall bracket . Con / The only thing I am bothered by is the Power Cord connection at the rear of the TV is very loose and falls out when I move the TV with the wall bracket . Other than that , I love this TV , My last Samsung lasted me 9 years and gave it my folks because they needed a TV other than that I never had an Issue and I am sure this will last me some time with no compromising with the picture

This 9000 series is amazing it's a step down from the 9800 but it's perfect. The clarity makes everything look picture perfect. The UPscaling is 10 times better and faster. The true4k definition is unbelievable. I have it paired with the Samsung 950 sound bar for true atmos sound and it's phenomenal. I thank Evelyn at the Glendale los Feliz store in Cali for being and amazing team member and helping me with such an amazing and extravangant tv.

This so far is the best tv I've bought.watching movies on this TV is so amazing the colors are so vibrant.I would recommend this TV to everyone Samsung65"KS9000

Good product for the price, I will recommend it. However I expected more from a 65" television, sometimes the image is blurry and is not bright as shown in store. But good product and good price overall. Cool that you can change channel or do other stuff talking to the remote control.

The picture quality on this Samsung 65" smart Ultra HD TV is simply astounding! The picture is very clear and the color is amazing. 2 guys from the Geek Squad set it up for us. They were so very friendly, used booties over their shoes (I tried to tell them it wasn't necessary, but they insisted). They even synced our Vizio sound bar to the TV (great sound!) They wouldn't take bottled water, and they also refused the tips I offered. All-in-all, a VERY great experience with Best Buy, and the Geek Squad. Thank you!

Excellent product, clear and beautiful picture just blow your mind away. Greatly recommend this 4K experience.

I originally bought a Sony 930 D instead of this Samsung 9000 series. That was a mistake, I ended up returning the Sony. I then went back and bought this one. The construction on this TV was so much better and the clarity and colors were so much brighter. The TV has so much to offer and it's so much easier to set up. The remote is more user friendly. This set is more aesthetically pleasing to look at as a whole. It was definitely worth the extra money I spent on it, because it's as close to a plasma as you can get without going OLED and spending twice as much. If you are struggling with which brand to by this is your best bang for your buck.

Bought this TV on a deal and it’s worth every penny. Great picture quality, love the apps and smart features. The remote is awesome and use it all the time.

I was hoping to get 10 years out of it but I got 7+ years , I cannot say it was a disappointment until the very end where it started to show Bright White marks and other anomalies at the bottom of the screen. It was wall mounted and ran probably 16- 20 hours a day. i think it did great

Have had this TV for about 6 weeks now. Considered OLED and the other brands, but I have had very positive samsung experiences (own hu8550) so was slightly biased. Spent a few hours in store watching and comparing. Great sales staff experience w mult "Brand specialists" that were upfront about pros and cons. I cant say enough about it, picture is simply gorgeous (wife is sick of me calling her in to room to look at picture), very bright, amazing colors, the olympics and all sports, 4k movies, netflix, and comcast have all looked fantastic. I have it in a very bright room w mult skylights and no problems at all. Remote is nice (minor issue: they should have backlit the buttons). I really appreciate decent built in speakers for a change. Blacks and whites are amazing. Occasional oversaturation of green and reds. I like the automotion plus feature and leave it on 90% of the time. Good app selection and platform. For the price point i dont think you can beat this TV. On that note, i paid 2800, went on sale for 2500 (which is a seriously great buy imo) after the 15 day window, went back to best buy and thankfully because i have the rewards and the right type of membership they took the 300 right off. Great customer service. Other cons: I dont like the stand, prefer single, wider base on the 8550 as opposed to spread leg metal type. Also, I like 3D, bummed Sammy decided to drop this option/feature.

Even though I haven't fully taken advantage of the 4K capabilities (I'm waiting for the Xbox One S), this TV is top of the line. The picture quality is phenomenal and the sound is decent, but as everyone knows any TV can benefit from a sound bar/ sound system. It was easy to setup on a mount. The TV remote feels very nice and I love all the preloaded apps such as YouTube and Netflix. I've mostly used it to play video games on it, and the input lag is not noticeable while the picture mode is set to Game Mode. Highly recommended this TV. And as always, check it out in store and research online before making a big purchase.

The picture is superb providing very realistic colors and a bright display with picture and sound settings, including "eco" settings, that allow for customized viewings, if desired. Routine shows, live sports events and movies and been high quality and fantastic providing for superior viewing details including the motion rate. The sound has been a pleasant surprise because the Dolby feature allows for hearing many things a typical TV cannot provide. The Smart features are fun and very easy to use. The TV setup was very easy as is the overall operation of the TV.

We opted for the flat (non-curved) version of the 2016 9000 series. The upgrades over the 2015 model are worth it. We have had the TV for a few months now. The set up was very easy; in fact I left the room for a bit after we had unboxed it and mounted it on its stand and my son had the set up completed by the time I walked back in...literally a few minutes. The picture quality is fantastic. We have had no issues. The menus are easy to navigate and optional settings are intuitive and simple to move through. The remote is small, light and intelligently simple...it even includes voice commands. I bought a wall mount and it went up very easily. It streams internet content simply and with good clarity from Wi-Fi. I haven't even bothered to cable it directly to our router. It is an excellent product, albeit at a bit of a price premium. The only picture that competes with it is the OLED at twice the price.

Bought this TV early in its release cycle. Have had it for about 2 months now. No regrets - was not replacing a TV... just needed a new TV. Pretty loyal to Samsung TV lines but did check out competing Sony TV (830D). Made purchase with intent of obtaining a 2016 4k TV from samsung or sony. Picture and configuration settings are great and easy to access. Sony image quality may be a hair better, but wanted the samsung over sony based on my personal experience with owning both brand TVs previously and liked the interface samsung offers over sony. Read a handful of reviews that this 2016 K series and last year's J series had light bleed. I did not see light bleed in the showroom and I do not see it after my 2 months of use. Ended up mounting TV, with makes for a few issues. All inputs connect into a proprietary one-connect box and this feeds into the back of the TV. There is only 1 USB port on the back of the TV. Back of TV ports are now very difficult to access with TV being mounted. I used a generic-brand mount, and because the back of the TV is curved, there are 2 adapter spacers in the TV box to allow for proper generic-mount fitting. One-connect has a usb port too, if needed... both look to be usb 2.0 Interface is slick, but occasionally momentarily hangs (usually when doing tasks really quickly and when TV is first turned on). TV Remote works well and is very simplistic. I have replaced my comcast/xfinity remote with the TVs remote. TV remote buttons do not illuminate, which makes learning curve tough but after a few weeks remote can be used without looking at it.. Really wanted to use the SmartHUB features of the TV, except the HUB is not built in. It is a mail-in USB dongle (meant to be placed in the solitary USB port behind TV). Estimated delivery is 6-8 weeks/Summer 2016. Still waiting on HUB after 2 months. Streaming youtube and amazon is slick and responsive. web browser is gimmicky without a dedicated keyboard. TV has rudimentary controls via a single button on bottom-middle of TV...I've only used this feature to turn off TV when I could not find remote quickly. Built in sound is lacking. Ended up using a soundbar (also of samsung brand). When I do not use the soundbar - the TV volume usually is 50 out of 100... with the soundbar the TV volume usually is 20 out of 100.

great picture, and easy to operate. 4k is an outstanding feature of the television. easy to set up but was complicated to some extend because i was tying in an older 321 bose system. connections for sound were only optical and no rca cable connections. had to purchase a converter from optical to rca for the tv and direct to optical in bose system for the dvd.

The the quantum dot is unbelievable. The colors are so vibrant. It takes a while for you to get use to the clarity of the picture but after you get use to it the picture is amazing. I am looking forward to having 4k HD on all channels. All the features are easy to understand and use. The streaming feature is the best.

The Best Buy sales associate recommended this TV based on picture quality and expected life span. We purchased the Samsung K850 sound bar to go with it. We installed the units ourselves and had some issues from the start. The picture quality was not as good as expected and the sound bar did not always sinc with the TV. Blue ray movies looked great when played through our PS3, but regular TV programming was not that good. There were times when reds would judder and jump. We visited Best Buy to get some help. A different sales associate gave some tips on what to do about the sound bar not sincing with the TV, and where we could adjust the setting to stop the red colors from juddering and jumping. He said if this did not fix the problems, to return the TV for a replacement. We returned home and followed his directions. After switching some cable connections we got the sound bar to sinc with the TV. Playing with the settings in the TV did not fix the picture quality problems, so we returned the TV for a replacement. After getting the replacement TV home and installed we had the same problems. I decided to go online and research if anyone else was having these problems and if they had a fix. I found a website that provided a list of settings to change to improve the picture quality. After making these changes, all the picture quality problems went away and I'm very happy with this TV. These are the setting adjustments I followed. Picture Mode - Movie Expert Settings Backlight - 3 to 7 Adjust to your liking Brightness - 45 to 61 Adjust to your liking Contrast - 100 Sharpness - 0 Color - 50 Tint - G50/R50 Apply Picture Setting - check All Sources Digital Clean View - Off Auto Motion Plus - Off Smart LED - Low Film Mode - Off HDMI UHD Color - blank HDMI Black Level - Auto Dynamic Contrast - Off Color Tone - Warm 2 or Warm 1, adjust to your liking White Balance - blank Gamma - 0 RGB Only Mode - Off Color Space - Auto I found from the 2 units I got from the store, that the factory settings do not give the best picture quality. Adjustments need to be made to get a desired picture.

This is a great TV. Picture and colors are perfect. Online apps (Netflix, Youtube, Amazon) are working flawlessly over the wi-fi connection. Very easy to navigate even with a mini remote provided. TV has a great design: very slim and almost border-less.

Everything worked flawlessly out of the box. Of course it required calibrating for white balance and color, but once that’s done it has remarkable picture quality. Just remember, low quality transmissions in = Low quality transmissions on the screen. However if you if you set up your TV properly and have good quality service (1080p or better) you will love this TV. I went through a few settings for white balance off of the internet before finding a good fit for my room then used HDTV calibrating wizard by Monster and achieved a very good set up. If you just use the factory calibration settings it will probably be over saturated with color (colors not natural). I really like the new remote once you get used to it. WIFI and Bluetooth work flawlessly. Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend it for anyone looking for a feature loaded TV.
