Expensive, but outstanding picture!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first experience with a smart HDTV, and after much research decided for this Samsung over an OLED. Connection and set up was straight forward. I was afraid I'd have to get the Geek Squad, but it turned out to be simple, even to connect to the WiFi. One thing I did discover when I first connected to ATT Uverse was that the picture seemed soft, and cartoons were jagged. Then I realized I didn't have HD from ATT, so after turning that on, the picture looks great! I'm glad I got the external sound bar, because the sound from the TV alone doesn't cut it. Also, I wish there was a way to turn off auto complete when you're typing in the web browser. If you make a typo, it will always repeat it when you type it again.

Blown Away by This TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this new Samsung smart 4K TV to replace an older Samsung HD TV (I always buy Samsung) and am simply incredibly amazed by the picture quality, brightness, smart functions, Bluetooth headphone support, super-easy setup, and the ease of use from the astoundingly small simple remote. I'm accustomed to the remote getting bigger, heavier, more buttons, more complicated with every new TV purchase. This one is SO SMALL with very few buttons but does everything the big old remotes do, and more --- like voice commands -- and can even be a universal remote. If you are looking for the latest in TV technology and the best viewing experience, this is the one for you.

Beautiful Display
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as picture quality goes, this 65" Samsung SUHD TV is gorgeous. I have played movies and TV shows from multiple sources such as over-the-air tuner (1080p) and Blu-Ray discs through HDMI cable connections. I have also streamed internet content through an external PC through HDMI and in the TV App (Amazon Prime.) Each of these sources resulted in great looking content. I also have Xbox One (non-s) and the games for me look great (not, 4K but still very good.) Sometimes I find switching between various inputs to be a little clunky, especially running sound to my amplifier (all inputs go into the amp and run to a single cable to the TV) But even when I stream movies through the TV app directly, the sound will run out of the HDMI cable to the amp with only a small amount of fiddling with the buttons. My audio is not run through a sound bar, and the amp is not Samsung. I am willing to accept that limitation. Have I said the display is gorgeous? To get the best display, you may have to tweak the settings. Just search the Internet for Samsung 4K calibration settings. I streamed Spectre using these settings and was blown away. If the content wasn't in 4K, I couldn't tell. My next purchase is a 4K blu ray player. I am already building my collection in anticipation.....

After two weeks still a great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this a Samsung.com and was surprised it arrived undamaged. Turned all the extra equipment on before I turned the TV on and it auto setup everything. Seems the picture is better when I set all inputs to HDR. Not sure if that is what I should do as the manual is MIA. This is the most advanced TV technology wise I have ever seen.

Amazing tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this tv now for 6 months, & am still impressed. Great picture, software updates have only improved the experience. Tv remote is super basic, but most won't use it anyway. Picture quality is excellent.

Looks great on the wall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with my new TV. The 4k content from Netflix looks wonderful. My one complaint is with the power cable. #1. Samsung should have provided a much longer cord. Once the set is mounted on the wall and the cable to run to the center, your power outlet has to be less than 3 feet away.

Good in daylight.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV replaced a plasma screen that I could not see in bright sunlight in a great room with a wall of windows. Now I don't have to wait until night to see my shows. This TV is very bright.

Not impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No matter what the sales rep will tell you this tv is not identical to the curved 9500 series. The pic is oky at best but the curved 9500 is a way more crisp and clearer pic by far. I'm very picky when I spend 3k or more because it's easy to get caught up in the hype of what these tv's due for your buck.Trust me get the 9500 curved Samsung and you will be impressed. If money ain't a thing go to LG oled tv's there pretty awesome, but there 5k and up. Remember these tv's price will drop in 6-8 months so just because you spend top dollar on a tv doesn't mean you bought the best tv ever, you just bought it right now. In 6-8 months things will change and so will the price. Buy smart, the 9500 65 inch curved is the best tv out for the buck.

Xbox One S HDR and firmware issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enabling HDR on the Xbox One S will switch the video to dull/washed out colors. So cannot play HDR video games or video on the Xbox One S with this TV. Firmware issues causing source input icons do not show up on the menu.

Do not buy - Ads in the firmware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV offers very nice picture quality. I spent quite a while loading up 4K videos on Netflix to stream to it, and after tweaking the settings a fair bit was able to get it looking rather good (reducing the unfortunate default oversaturation of colors and playing with contrast and backlighting to fix the default too-dark black levels). Unfortunately, this meant disabling a lot of the features that separate it from the 8000 series. So I'd recommend saving yourself some money and buying an 8000 instead. The main reason why I *cannot* recommend anyone purchase this TV is because it embeds ads into the firmware of the TV itself. Imagine going to switch between your Playstation and Xbox and seeing your TV(!) flash an ad for Hulu or Comcast to you. While this can be disabled (not that Samsung tells you how to do this - you have to decline the EULAs when asked), this bad behavior on Samsung's part cannot be allowed to stand. Additionally, when HDR mode is on, the TV will occasionally start flickering on and off, which is a known issue with the set. Samsung's official response is to "unplug the unit and plug it back in" which fixes it... until it starts doing it again.

So so tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Tv is awesome if your just watching 4k content. But for everything else like hd directv and streaming 720 or so. It's upscaling doesn't come close to the sony 930d I exchanged it for. Also doesn't have a built in chromecast like the sony it has less features and video settings. Do your self a favor try the 930d and you'll see yourself which is a better tv the sony hands down

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the UN65KS900 for about 9-10 moths now and the "One Connect" box has been giving me connectivity issues for a few months now. It's been increasing in frequency to the point that I can't watch TV for more than 5-10 min before the error notice comes on screen. It's extremely frustrating. It's a beautiful picture though there is some minimal light bleeding around the edges. Almost unnoticeable. The app selection and interface are very good.
