Samsung is my brand of choice for a flat screen and this tv delivers with ease of use, quality, sharp pictures and a slim profile. I was hesitant to buy such a large tv for fear it would just be too big. Boy, was I ever wrong. It is excellent and I highly recommend.

This TV is clear and easy to use. I really like the connection common port that is external - it makes hook up or switching devices really simple and quick and you don't need to reach behind the TV to do it. We wall mounted this unit and it looks awesome. Highly reccommend

The picture quality, viewing from our normal sitting area, is superb. The colors pop and couldn't be more crystal clear. To date, we have only watched Comcast cable and Netflix streamed programs, the upscaling is great. Live hockey games in 4K upscaling is fantastic!

This is one of the best purchases I've have ever made. The picture is unreal! Older movies have a whole new look, and I didn't change from an old school tv. Super easy to set up, and the apps work seamlessly. And the price almost doesn't make sense. Should be higher.

Been a few years since I got a TV and felt it was time for an upgrade. After looking at the prices vs quality I ended up choosing this one. I've had it for a month and love it. I paired it with a wireless samsung sound bar and they work extremely well together. Set up was easy and wasn't time consuming. They make hooking up cables easier by having you put your hdmi cables into one box that is away from your tv and then that box has one cable to the tv. The tv auto senses your cable/dish or gaming console and will automatically switch to that device for viewing. Remote is a little weird at first but once you get used to it it's sufficient. Some people will like it and some won't. Screen quality is top notch and love watching 4k Netflix on it or playing ps4 pro. Only down side is you have to make sure you go into your settings to maximize using the 4k. But not hard to do. Overall, love the tv so far.

Just buy one. It's freaking amazing. You'll think your watching 3D. Especially with true 4K content. Simple set-up. Great remote. So glad I didn't settle for a lesser model. Onboard speakers are a little weak. Best matched up to a good sound bar or surround system.

Had a 40" Samsung that went out after 7 years. Thought that 1080 tv was great, this 4K tv is sooo much sweeter! The motion rate helps I'm sure, but love the smart tv apps and controller has capability to control numerous inputs like directv box and blu ray player.

The input lag while gaming in either 1080p or 4k is about 21 ms. That's not perceptible to even the most sensitive people. It's one of the main reasons I bought this tv. It also does HDR, and has every modern feature you would want in a tv. I highly recommend it.

I shopped for months looking for a TV with all the features I wanted. Found this Samsung 65" Series 8 and I was sold. Beautiful picture, 4k, 240 motion, wifi for headphones, one connect (awesome) and a very slim bezel. Got it at a great price and I am a happy camper.

We previously had a 52 inch Sony Bravia KDL-52S5100 which we liked, but it developed vertical lines on the edges of the screen after 5 years. That was a 1080p TV. The new Samsung looks better on everything we have tried. We have Verizon FIOS, but use Tivo with a cable card rather than a Verizon provided cable box. The picture for normal TV is very good. The included apps on the TV are all very responsive (unlike the same apps on the Tivo). We have the TV on our 5Ghz wireless N connection and have had no issue streaming 4k video on Amazon or Netflix. The sound is surprisingly good when just using the TV speakers. It's no match for a proper setup going through a receiver or even with a sound bar, but still, the TV speakers are surprisingly good. For picture settings, check the avsforum.com thread for this TV and adjust from there. Lots of helpful people in that thread if you have questions.

I purchased the 4K Ultra HD Samsung TV with HDR technology and right out of the box fell in love with the look. Turning it on was even better. The bright whites and dark blacks are amazing and it's truly an amazing experience. I highly recommend this TV!

Bought this TV after doing a lot of research on color, contrast, pic quality, etc. The vividness on the screen literally makes people on the screen look like they could walk off it into living room. The richness of the black is awesome. Great job Samsung!

    Excellent TV After Adjusting Settings

After looking at all of the major brands side by side in the store, being unable to run any of my own tests and realizing the video quality looked the same, I selected the UN65KS8000 based on the appealing aesthetics of the bezel-less design. Note that the 60" version is the only size that is not bezel-less. I originally wanted a center stand because I thought the chicken feet design looked ridiculous, but I got used it and the One Connect box on top of the UBD-8500 both fit perfectly right under the illuminated Samsung logo. Out of the box, the chicken feet stand notwithstanding, this TV would get a 4 star rating. After applying the RTings settings, shutting off Auto Motion Plus, turning on HDR+ and UHD Color, and setting the picture mode to Dynamic, my rating is 5 stars. Pros: Picture quality. Native 4K from UHD blu ray or streaming is excellent, with eye popping colors and deep blacks that look as dark as OLED TVs costing twice as much. Note that Movie mode is overall very dark and had I not been able to change it to Normal, Standard or Dynamic, with each setting adding brightness, I would have returned the TV. I cannot imagine the new Samsung QLED TV models for 2017 being any better. Settings. Very easy and intuitive with the highly responsive icon driven Tizen operating system. Each option gives a description of what it is for and changing selections shows the result immediately in real time so you can compare. Some settings are imperceptible while others are quite dramatic. Audio. The two 20W speakers produce very good sound and are adequate for normal TV viewing. For watching UHD 4K blu ray movies, for me at least, I turn on the 7.1.2 system. Note that the dynamic range of the audio on 4K disks to my ears is superior to a regular Blu Ray. The seven discrete channels of lossless PCM audio makes the house rumble so if an earthquake hits I may not realize it and could perish while watching TV. Upscaling. The upscaling of lower resolution video is exceptional. Regular Blu ray disks look like 4K. With HDR+ enabled I think standard DVDs look great. The resolution is nowhere near a 4K source but the colors are enhanced and make my DVD collection far from obsolete. This in particular I wanted to know before buying and could not test it out in the store. FIOS TV looks very good but looks the most like 1080P. One Connect box. At first I thought this would only be useful for wall attached TVs to facilitate accessibility, but I found it useful for testing out differences between plugging peripherals in to the One Connect versus in to the Pioneer Elite VSX-90, and for testing differences between the $8.49 Mediabridge Ultra high speed 6' cables that arrived in simple cardboard boxes in two days from Amazon versus the well marketed brand name $79.99 cables in the fancy packaging. As expected, no difference whatsoever in audio or video quality using my eyeball and ear tests. If you can order your HDMI cables a few days before your TV is delivered, you could save a few bucks and use your savings to buy a few of 4K movies. Cons: Initial Settings. Out of the box settings curiously were far from optimal. Sure, the setup was a breeze, but HDR and UHD Color were not turned on, Auto Motion was on but off is better for fast motion video and Movie mode was so dark I thought the TV was defective. Very easy to adjust. Just be mindful that you may need to tinker a bit to optimize the video to your liking. Reflective Display. If you have any lamp within line of sight of the TV you will see a reflection of it in dark scenes. The display is like a mirror. In the day time, the reflection of my windows can be seen on the TV so I draw the shades. At night I shut off all lamps and use only dim lighting off to the side much like a movie theater.

I wanted to upgrade TV sizes and this one has been the perfect addition to our living room. The picture is unreal, the quality is viable, and the seamless edges are such a classy feature. Samsung makes a wonderful product and this TV is proof of that.

Exceptional picture, easy to set up, fantastic interface with connected components. Only one major problem... once your kids learn how to airplay from their iPads, you find minecraft videos suddenly hijacking the tv during the last minutes of games.

This TV is great. Beautiful picture and quality. The only thing we don't like about it is how the accessory area is no longer built into the TV. Instead there is something you could almost describe as a surge protector looking item that has the plug openings for your cords/wires to plug into. We have our TV wall mounted with our HD/power in the wall. We have tried to mount the accessory hub to the wall behind the TV so that it is out of sight. We have used a long strip of velco stuck to the wall and the back of the accessory hub, but it falls off the wall about every 2 weeks. There is no room for us to mount it to the wall by a more permanent means once we put the TV on the wall. Not sure why they decided to go this route instead of having the plug areas still built into the tv. BUT other than that irritant, we are really enjoying the TV. 4K is wonderful!
